i had this one on a field trip to a military base, i was the only one that got beef stew and let me tell u, IT IS ORGASMICLY GOOD. i ate everything in it and all of it was orgasmic except for the coffee, i had to add like 5 tablespoons of sugar and some milk to make it taste good

Dude, when I have the spare cash I'm eating up to 3 or 4 a week. They are just too damn good, but don't expect to be wiping any time soon. Ha ha. My local surplus sells them between 6-8 a meal, good alternative to fast food.

Um no, and guessing your underaged from your comment, stick with a civilian MRE. Those calories are not for little kids, it will make you way too damn hyper. You dont buy them from Army Barracks either kid. Just go to a local army navy store and they should supply civilian MRE's if your going to run around on a field with a toy gun.

No you do not have to be 18 to buy MRE's. MRE's are not dehydrated meals but the heaters are usually regulated because they cause a chemical reaction that could be made into a explosive(but nothing really harmful). I have no clue why the MRE distributors make a big deal about the heaters, they're really harmless(but get extremely hot). I guess it's paranoia from 9/11.

You guys are all jokes. First of all we put the crackers and cheese in the stew along with the Tabasco. The cookies and pastery are new to me. Spaghetti was the same. Gave you the runs??? We didn't crap for weeks eating those things every day. Complain and thank all the people that lived on those things. Shit...try the omelette. Now that was bad. Beef stew and spaghetti were the bomb.

i love MREs, and btw it's VERY easy to open them, peel away the "V" looking thing on top an it comes right open, everything else has little cutouts to open or they are thin plastic.

it usually says on the heater of the mre. i wouldnt eat any mres that are 3 years or older. i ate a beef and mushrooms mre from 1997 in 2008 and trust me it fucked up my stomach. you get really bad pains. also if you bought a case of mres theres a sticker that is color coated. from what i remember dont eat a mre that has a black sticker because black means there expired.

nah, never had chicken with salsa. check the expiration date before you eat ANY mre! i had a expired mre the other day and omg that is the worst pain ever. this doesnt just go for you, it goes for everybody, dont eat expired mres. mres last for 3 years.

ebay, but be careful if your gonna buy one off of there. not all of them are fresh like they say they are. so always ask if the mre's are fresh and ask when they expire.

they do taste pretty good. they are pretty well balanced too. i know theres alot of carbs but you can eat 1 mre and it will fill you up for 1 day unless you have a really big appitite. just make sure you dont eat the omlete mre, ive heard there the worst. if your gonna buy an mre just to eat you should always try to buy the ones made in 2007/2008. and i agree its alot better than mcdonalds. mcdonalds fucks up my stomach and i get sick. so an mre is a better choice.
