  • Obviously didn't see him live but if you watch highlights of him you just realise what a great player he was.

  • yes billy is from tiger bay in cardiff same area as my family very multicultural you got every race on earth living here.

  • As a lad I was on the top deck of a double decker just going into Wigan. Someone said "Hey there's Billy". Everyone on the top deck rushed to the windows, its a wonder it didn't capsize. A truly great player.

  • Used to watch Billy Boston as a youngster. He was great !!

  • I saw the great man play a number of times in the sixties. He retired in 68 I think when Tom Van Vollenhoven retired from the Saints team. A huge loss to league when Billy retired.

  • by all accounts he was just a phenomenon and the statistics alone prove it. What a delightful bloke though. typical of the people from cardiff bay (formerly known as Tiger bay-shirley bassey country)

  • Yes I believe he scored 571 tries and scored a total of 1,727 points, playing at winger, centre, stand off and full back to great effect a true Legend.

  • Yes, he told us the full story in the interview, lots of teams were chasing his signature at the time. It is quite funny how he eventually came to sign for Wigan.

  • I ordered this DVD and I have to say it's excellent. Really interesting to sit and listen to a rugby league legend talk openly about his career.

  • Yes, a great great player and after interviewing him a really nice man. Our signed copies of the interview are becoming collectors items.
