I learned this song when i was young as well, the Lord put it in my heart today, but i couldn't remember all the words. So i looked it up here and found your video. This is exactly the way we sang it when i was younger, just with the guitar or the organ and i think it's the best. Thank you so much and God Bless you :)

in my youth i went to awana and i learned that song . as years went on less and less of the song i remembered. in this last couple of months i could only remember bits and peices of that song . so i tried to find it , it only took me a couple of songs to listen through to get this one as i remember singing it in my youth. thank you ever so much mike for posting this song on here . i actually cried when i seen it was the song i was looking for ,

hadnt heard this since I was a kid! used to know another that was based on proverbs3:24 and surrounding verses-listened to that one a lot because I had night terrors due to life experiences...sure wish I could find THAT one again also!

I finally found this song. Haven't heard it for 27 years. How come none of the churches on you tube sing this? Or does anyone NOT do scripture praise anymore? Excellent!!!

Yeah, I don't know why they don't seem to do them in the churches much anymore, there are a number of us on You Tube who do scripture songs. I've known this one for many years, but I didn't know as many verses until relatively recently when someone did this song for a special in the church I was going to at the time. I think part of what makes it hard to find on You Tube & Tangle is that there are newer, more popular songs with the same title, such as Michael W. Smith's song by the same name.

Yeah, I guess I'm about as old school as it gets. I'm really not much into power chords though I'll use them from time to time. I prefer simple catchy melodies and chords.
