Well, then put your money where your mouth is. Take one out and shoot a vid. Show me how awesome it is when you troll. Show me the great control. Go in a lake that is not gin clear, heck Ill even say mostly clear and post it.
Nothing but love, but this video shows about 10 seconds of actual camera footage for a reason. Unless you have gin clear water these units show a few feet at best. Once you go down about 20 feet forget it!!! A big letdown as far as I'm concerned. A total pain in the butt to get the camera to point where you want it just twists back and forth, makes you get motion sickness.
If you own a MAV and are having some issues with it you can contact us and we will be happy to help! The MAV system has an excellent camera and picture quality. The clearer the water the farther you will be able to see, it doesn't have to be gin clear as you indicated. Also the camera moves in the direction of the boats travel so if you are a troller this works awesome.
Also if you are "still" fishing be sure you have the clear plastic front viewing fin attached, this allows the camera to stabilize itself. The camera has been mounted up inside of the spool and will need to unwind itself and it will, give it a couple of minutes to unwind and you will see the results!
Nature Vision has gone out of business and Outdoors Insight has taken over their product line.....If you should ever have any questions please feel free to contact our customer service reps at 866-755-6303 M-F 8-4 CST. We will be happy to assist you.!!
You guys have them for $899.00, wow! I don't think you will have any trouble selling them by fall. I think I paid about $2500.00 for mine and it has been worth every penny. I use mine to find secondary structure and it has made a huge difference on the heavily pressured lakes I fish.
