Seen another way, an empty vessel has as its purpose to receive; a full vessel has as its purpose to pour forth. Between them, both are necessary, and neither is more important than the other. =^[.]^=
Ahh, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!! this has made my day!!! I love these clips so much - really they have been altering my perception of things so much. I read the Tao Te Ching because of these videos. I've been doing Kung Fu for about three months now and only since I have watched these have I really improved my mind, I keep these concepts going through my mind whilst sparring and doing form. And in improving my mind, my skills have gradually evolved. PLEASE put more up!
That's fantastic! I'm so happy to hear you get as much from these videos as I do and they are having such a positive influence on you. May your current positivity last a life time!
I think that a "following" has been made here, with these videos... it may have started as a small pebble in a stream at #1 but now we have #24... great and important work Bobba.
Like Miss Dumbledore.. they have led to other things.... Sumi-e drawing... Kinomichi... (the list is endless).
I am sure that the story your own 25 year path (and beyond) will go on touching and helping many others.
are we not equally important... ...and not important?
that just made soooooo much sense 2 me

It reminds me of something that Bruce Lee said in an interview (quoting as best I can from memory):
"Consider the water. Of itself, it has no form or shape. Yet it assumes the shape of any container it is poured into. Be the water."

@jaklumen ...not bad. Would you like to see and hear the actual quote again? It is here....type in search: Bruce lee - Empty your mind. Enjoy!

Thank you sir, I started collecting quotes a few years ago. The Magician quote was one I wrote when I tried my own hand at a memorable saying.

Thank you my very kind friend. The path is long and often has as many tears as it has smiles; but it is a truly an amazing journey.
Namaste.

Without students, how can there be a master? Or to put it another way: "a magician without someone watching him is just a guy playing with his hat".
