they make more torque than a gas motor, burn fuel more efficiently, spin slower, and typicly improve mileage by a crapload.

hell im still drivin a Ram-50 with the Mitsu 2.3L TD in it stock and its been going stong for a loooong time and will be for a long time yet

@jonathan390 well, diesel for high rpm and performance is a challenge.but 40% fuel efficiency is far from the ~20% that other engines have. more distance less gas.

Also, diesel engines are the first engines to use injection. technology on diesel engines are better, you get more and more from a diesel engines and it never lets you down.they are also more enviroment friendly, cheaper to maintain, less likely to break down.

I can almost guarantee if this is the next eclipse, they will keep the nose. They've been wanting to change the nose from the current model because of all the negative feedback, not that there is anything wrong with the current model.

No way would this rival supra. Supra new concept is insane. LEXUS LFA v10 that puts out 400+hp on a 8speed gear box. This is a dope car but its class is more of the old nsx.

This is a 2.2 ltr 4cyl. It would never compare to the R8 and its 12cyl. powerplant. Like a civic vs a lambo. 201 hp, 300 lbs of torque. Its not the same, it would feel like a pretty quick car. Handling would no doubt be great and the fuel economy is 47mpg. The R8D is 23.

Look for Mercedes, bmw and VW to make great strides in the US in the next 5 years. Look for the US to keep its thumbs up its ass and not do anything worth buying. Benz is in D tech lead..VW is not doing well enough.

Yes, the RA was a huge hit - and although it won't make it to production as-is, a lot of the tech, including the cool engine are quite likely to show up in a MITSU near you.
