Well... a mormon who slept around with lots of women and had many wives to where this amerikan guy was a SLUT and played a role in politics for diplomatic relations to push the indians out of the terrirotries and were looked at as DEVILS or DEMONS. He even published his own book. It was in SOUTH PARK btw!!! Forefathers were masons! No christians in usa! Enjoy life...
Most awesome idea I ever heard my entire life. Fucking twats
fake havasu arizona or people in usa wanted my STORY? They already know it. I posted it all over internet. IMEEM (hidden in metaphors) to where tom from myspace bought out IMEEM for $1,000,000.00.
Guess what usa? You are dumb as fuck! I caught onto it kinda when I saw the "STRATEGY" (Art Institute haha).
People in usa are fucking stupid. There is nothing wrong with my writing. My writing style is awesome haha. People in usa are so fucking dumb. They want you to goto school... and make life style even more sophisticated. So sophisticated, to where they dont even know how politics work. "IM WAR VETERAN DAMNIT... I WANT HIM TO WRITE A BOOK" - masons in usa who thinks hes a Knights Templar
I will write a book. Not in usa!!! Thats how stupid usa is!
get someone you trust to lock you in a room, and when you have typed a certain amount of words you can go out into tte world! and do the same thing the very next day...
Forget writing... Dragon Naturally Speaking, by Nuance software. 350+ words per minute (labor-intensive typing = a thing of the past. All on voice recognition now) $30 on eBay.
I have a question for Q and A Tuesday: Should you follow your dream if you are not entirely sure that you are good enough in a certain field to succeed, or should you split your time between the dream and a plan B?
If you are just starting out on 750words.com make yourself commit to writing everyday. if you miss a day, its okay but get back to it. It doesn't have to be a masterpiece. just write. after a month you will do it almost without thinking, it takes at least that long to develop the habit. They also have monthly challenges were you make a vow to write everyday for that month. You can set up a reward for finishing and a little punishment for missing a day.
750words.com really does work. Even if you aren't' writing a book, it allows you to just get the stuff that's all waiting inside of your head to come out that just needs a forum, a space. even if you are worried how others might react the entires are completely private so you can just write uncensored. unhindered. And if you keep up with it you'll find it is easier to get those words done everyday and you'll actually want to keep writing.
Love love love this video! Although I'm actually NOT writing a book, or have one to write (yet!) this concept applies to SO MANY other things in life! Scheduling and accountability are so important and this is a great reminder! Thanks Marie, you rock. :)
I honestly had to pause this video to comment on how fabulous your outfit is. The perfect combination of simplemeetsflairmeetsprofessionalmeetssexy. BAM! And YES, that quote did get me in the gut. Which inspires me to X out of Youtube...bye!
MAAAN That's a good one and like a Southern Baptist preacher, it felt like you were talking right to me! Loved the third tip BUT I'm broke as a joke (quit my job to full time focus on my crazy dream, remember?). Instead of hiring someone, I just called my boyfriend (who "rides my ass" about writing posts for my other website I intend to get a book deal for THIS YEAR. We're setting deadlines and everything! There is always someone who wants to help you succeed. Use them...and give 'em a job, too!
Great video. But I have a related question: What if I don't yet have a literary agent? Should I follow this advice as if I already have one, because waiting for an agent to get onboard with my book idea is another thing holding me back from the writing of it? Please advise! Thanks.
@thecomicscomic If I were you I'd keep writing. I first self-published my book and sold the crap out of it before taking it to an agent/publisher. Since the book was already done (and selling) there was no doubt that I could do it. Plus, I believed in the message so much I needed to get the book out there regardless if anyone else "approved" it :)
What I do is I will get cravings (for hot wings or a cookie or something). I would remember my passion project and force myself to wake up early or stay up a little later or something to have undistracted time working on my passion project. I would immediately reward myself. I'm trying to find something as effective as food that isn't so... food, lol.Rewarding myself with events doesn't work, because its too much of a deadline and I stress out.
@quitejaded You may work well finding some great accountability partners - people you enjoy connecting with that you can also support with their goals. Other forms of reward are: dance parties, seeing a movie, going to an amusement park (my favorite!) relaxing for an hour with your favorite book, getting a massage, etc.

It can be challenging writing new songs on a regular basis. I dedicate one evening every week writing/recording/mixing music.

Can you do a video on how to start writing? I never wrote a book before so it would be helpful.
