Another thing: if there's no storage place, look for one. Once you find it, use slow time after your purchase and sprint for it!

Just a little heads up, it doesn't HAVE to be a cabinet for you to store your gold in. I stored mine in a dead body when I bought the one in Windhelm. So I'm sure it can be done with just about anything you can access with one click.

if the npc is just a little too far for you to get it to work try "ramming" him

* to ram take a few steps back then sprint into him to back him into the corner this also helps when companions are in your way

As you progress in the game and complete quests and sell items you get that you don't need money doesn't really become a super huge problem you just sort of accumulate a lot of it over time... You could try completing more dungeons or for shorter quests with lots of money join the Dark Brotherhood

As I mentioned below, anyone looking for a decent house in skyrim should probably download the mod from SkyrimNexus for the solitude house, it makes the house actualy function as a home base for everything (Smithing, Enchanting, Alchemy, Storage, Display)

Otherwise, you have to choose between Solitude's crappy storage layout, Windhelm's horrible crafting layout and Whiterun's cramped spaces and lack of enchanting. That said, if you do keep your houses stock, Whiterun is probably the best.

As with all npcs in Skyrim, they tend not to sit in the same spot forever in most cases. If the Jarl isn't at his/her throne, just use the wait command to set the time between 8am-8pm and the Jarl will likely be there when the waiting is over.

I jus did the glitch for my stuff around the house in Solitude and when I go to put something on a mannequin the mannequin disappears but I can activate for my stuff back. So any ideas please let know what's wrong and I can't put my weapons up on mounts

It adds the following and maybe more: Workbench Anvil Smelter Apothecary Satchels to both Alchemy and Enchanting stations. Basement Chest More weapon racks An extra Mannequin. Note: It removes the items from the odd basement "bedroom" and replaces them w/ the racks, chest and blacksmith items.

Im guessing this works with buying a horse aswell if you got your thane or companion with you and trade your gold to him/her right before you recieve the horse, that depends on how fast you get the horse though. Ima try it later! :D
