Bella is a regular human. She uses this as an excuse to be weak, dependent on her man, and (quite frankly) pathetic.

It really is NO competition. You certainly make a good point, that Buffy has more common sense and style than Bella, but I have to say, they also look a lot alike by your standards: they both do the initial freak-out but fast recovery on finding out their paramours are undead, they both take a while to recover from the guy leaving, they both fight their darndest even in circumstances when they're outmanned... I won't lie, I watch Twilight. But NEVER EVER could it compare to the awesomeness of Buffy!! Twilight teaches you nothing in life. It really is NO competition. Bella is a self-centered, useless, 2-dimensional damsel-in-distress who does NOTHING for herself and who spends all her time obsessing over her frankly unhealthy all-consuming relationship. Even when she IS turned into a vampire her "superpower" is LAME and merely reinforces her passive role behind any battle lines kept oh-so safe and sheltered. Buffy is strong, independent, intelligent and complex. She is simply a better written, stronger character.

i used to watch twilight until i got into BUFFY now i hate twilight Buffy is the greatest show ever and Angel to. if you ask people allot like twilight mainly the teens but if you ask about Buffy and angel every one loves it and sparkling vampires Buffy is smarter than her Angel is hotter and there not timid and scared to talk to each other and they can both fight together. if bella and Edward were fighting together they would both end up died b/c bella can do anything and he would try to help

You certainly make a good point, that Buffy has more common sense and style than Bella, but I have to say, they also look a lot alike by your standards: they both do the initial freak-out but fast recovery on finding out their paramours are undead, they both take a while to recover from the guy leaving, they both fight their darndest even in circumstances when they're outmanned... I won't lie, I watch Twilight. But NEVER EVER could it compare to the awesomeness of Buffy!! Twilight teaches you nothing in life. Example: Bella bends over backwards to marry and become a vampire, hardly keeping any friends asides from future family and some wolves. Buffy on the other hand admits to liking and chasing after boys from time to time but that isn't a priority. She kicks evil's butt, keeps tight friendships and is a strong, independent woman!! She's a role model.. unlike Bella!

Bella looks down her nose at her people who aresupposedly her friends (who aren't vampires) despite the fact that they will do more in a few short years of their mortal lives that she will do with eternity. She and Edward never felt bad that so many people died because Victoria was building her Army and the Cullens didn't track her the f*ck down and stop her. She also used Jacob. Buffy didn't use Xander when he was in love with her and was a true friend to her friends and mourned deaths.
