I just got proactive in January. It hasn't made my skin worse, but it hasn't drastically changed either. Since you mentioned all the harmful ingredients, what is a good skincare face wash that is gentle on skin and has natural ingredients but still clear up acne?

Acne is also cause by things you eat. Science use to say no, but recently they came out and said foods you eat do have an influence on acne. If i eat a bar of chocolate ill wake up tomorrow with 30 pimples on my face ,, im already convinced of that. People with pimples cleanse your skin with lemon juice 2's a day it will get rid of your pimples and prevent new once don't spend your money on b.s products.
I used proactiv as a preteen when I had acne on my forhead and it cleared.when I started college last year, and went through depression and my face broke out really bad.its scarred I'm currently using clinique acne solutions & I'm somewhat seeing results.I'm really asking God to heal it, its quite depressing :/.God bless you all
@LAGRiMAS713 I don't recommend either of them, have you googled the ingredients of either? they are both just chemicals in a bottle and you don't want to put that on your face. I recommend using an all natural "God made product" if that make's sense.

You guys need to listen to this guy! He knows what he's talking about. All products for acne only work to a certain extent! I have tried everything just to see my acne spark up again... Changing my diet was the only thing that has cleared my skin. All i have to deal with now is the dark spots that were left behind.

@mermayer Thanks... I appreciate it. If you really want to get results I recommend that you try the secret acne cleanse out. Unfortunately many dermatologists and doctors don't have much better advice than 'try benzoyl peroxide' which is basically proactiv... or they will recommend accutane which caused my brother to be born with a birth defect. It's all about eating a healthy balanced diet and getting the body balanced again and the skin will heal.
Been using this for about a month now, i have to say it works on certain area ,only my forehead is clear now ,but my cheeks still have a little acne and redness. So i will say it works depends on ur skin. But I agree with him is not recomended for long term use.
@T1027Production I wouldn't even recommend it for short terms use b/c of the benzoyl peroxide in it... Look into benzoyl peroxide more. Check out the scientific studies on it.
i ordered the teen plus kit. i really hope this works! my skin soaks up anything i put on it:p thats why i only wear bare minerals makeup:p idk im just tired of putting on makeup every morning! i want clear skin!:(

@acneerasingsecrets They just made a newer version of Nutrogena naturals a purifying pore scrub that has willobark which I noticed is in burt's Bees and this other thing called jojoba I used it today and it was good but the bottle isn't that big its 4 fl oz so ya I have light brown skin I used nexima before clearasil but they both failed and if this does I might turn to skin I'd lol I never had breakouts like this I'm 20 yrs old
@Cromatictube I've heard of their naturals line but they still have chemicals and preservatives in it so I don't recommend it regardless of it being called "naturals"... a lot of companies just use this word to sell junk.
seriously for me proactiv did really work. yes at first my skin was very dry and red but after the repairing treatment, I put a moisturizing cream over and it work just fine! my skin is clear now.
Don't use clearasil eather it also sucks ima see if I can exchange it even though I used it lol but it's still got some in it it cleared the acne in my forehead and gave me acne on my checks which is worse
ProActiv is a great example of the marketing machine producing profits for inferior products. I always laugh when the biggest commercial run during the Olympics is Wonderbread and McDonalds....ha ha ha. Thanks for the post, I was thinking of eating some ProActiv, but I definitely won't now.
I used it for a year and it made my acne worse. My gma called to cancel the subscription to it, they argued with her saying I didn't do it right! ARE YOU SERIOUS?! I suggest NO ONE use stupid Proactive! If you have acne, try washing yr face once a day with lye soap and afterwards, use a light moisturizer. at least that worked for me..
But again, Proactive doesn't work and its a waste of money!!

@MyYummycookie I don't recommend this or anything with benzoyl peroxide... I have quite a few recommendations. First, I would get the secret acne cleanse on my facebook page and try that out... then, you can find recommendations in a few of my videos as well as in the Acne Erasing Secrets amazon store on my facebook page too.
@icebreakers222 I don't know, I got it a long time ago when I didn't know what I was doing! I definitely wouldn't buy or use it now... you can actually get good natural acne products that will help.
@98CEDARPOINT I used about half of what they recommend or less *LITERALLY* I underuse all skincare products to test out and did the same with this. Benzoyl peroxide dries out and make's skin red b/c it's a chemical not a nutrient.
@98CEDARPOINT he didn't overuse it, what Proactiv does is it drains all the oil out of your face (thus leaving your fail dry) that's why they highly recommend their green tea moisturizer. So once you stop Proactiv that's why a lot of people break out like CRAZY because your face produces a lot of oil since it's been drained from it for so long.

ive had acne fr years now and nothing has worked for me ....i got proactiv and it works....it worked for my bf and my sister also so it really depends on ur skin everyone is different....also it may be exspensive but u can do the 30 day free trial use everything and they will still pay you your money back.....but like i said this worked for all 3 of us and we are happy with it

@acneerasingsecrets Acne is incurable. So when you use Proactiv or ANY acne medication then you have to keep using it. No acne medication get's rid of acne forever? How are you going to say that it doesn't work for her? Are you the one who posted the comment, no so quit harassing people.
I have had acne for all my life. And nothing seems to work. I have tried proactiv and its expensive and useless. I broke out more. What did help me was prescription clarithromycin gel and cleaning my face with glycerin soap. The only problem with the gel is that your skin can and most likely will dry and peel. But it does work. And one more thing. The label clearly says to wear sunscreen if you will be outside frequently while taking the drug. If you dont you can get sunburnned easily.
@gh12244 proactive is pretty cheap but it doesn't work well... I don't recommend that gel b/c I don't recommend something that doesn't improve your health. Check out my other videos to learn more.

@TheGaston28 Some acne products do contain BP (not all of them) b/c it does kill bacteria... problem is that it's a chemical and toxic! and it's not something that you want to put on your skin... doesn't make your skin healthier. Your skin only becomes more dependent on it over time and it won't really do much to clear up acne for good... it's just temporary b/c you have to keep using it day after day. My other videos explain why diet is important in treating acne.
I think it's good only for spot treatment when you really need quick results. But yeah temporary use and never on the entire face. Proactive is horrible for endorsing the abuse of BP.
@acneerasingsecrets No, it's not curable. Ask any dermatologist and they will say it is not curable. Excercising or eating healthy isn't a cure. It mght get rid of it for now but as soon as you stop then it will come back, same as if you use Proactiv then stop it will come back. It's more of a cover-up.
@acneerasingsecrets well I've only used it for like 4 days now and it has gotten better. its a good thing to use to clear your acne and add a diet while your skin is getting better. ik its not a cure.

@acneerasingsecrets tbh, ik over ten people that have use proactiv and its worked for them. diet isn't the only thing, I'm in my schools wrestling team so my diet is pretty healthy, but saying proactiv is doesn't work is misleading.

@jessicaz08 hi, it takes at least 4-5 weeks to fully work, all acne treatments do, and the first week your acne will get just a little worse but clear up after.
@menubaever first... all acne treatments don't work, and all of them shouldn't be put on your skin at all let a lone after 5 weeks. Proactiv is not a CURE, it's a topical treatment... stop using it and see if you breakout. If you do, it's a waste of money b/c I don't need any skincare product to keep my skin clear anymore b/c I balanced the imbalances that caused by acne internally. It doesn't work, period! It's designed to to keep you on it long term while the company gets rich. Unfortunately, these scams are acceptable and FDA approved because they are somewhat clinically proven drugs, but it will NEVER clear your acne effectively. And wiping your face with a toner is just spreading bacteria from one part of the face to another which causes breakouts in other areas. Stay away and learn more from David!

Hey David(: I'm a HS teen going into college--been using Neutrogena products like the Rice protein facial cleanser for acne and oil. Umm, I want to try Proactiv, and I know there are lots of acne preventives/cleansers out there, but I want one that will really work w/o causing skin irritations. It's probably hard to find one out there w/o buying a product w/ soo many chemicals "linked to skin cancer". Yeah, I've looked it up on FDA and etc., but give me your thoughts, thanks.

@Yankumikorean All I can say is good luck, I have yet to meet one person who's viewed this video that said proactiv worked for them... either they are using it and it's "somewhat working" but when they stop using it their breakouts get even worse (b/c of the benzoyl peroxide in it) or... they start using it and they breakout even more...or their skin turns redish (what happend to me)... if it doesn't work for you try the secret acne cleanse out... Diet is very important.

Ive been using it for a while. It works great for me and i dnt feel like im burning ir get rashes from it. Ik a friend tht had tht problem. The only thing i dont like is that you have to constantly use it twice a day every day to keep the clear skin

@enilorac8196 That's actually what I felt when I used it, it is because of the "benzoyl peroxide" in it... My face got hot and even turned red. That's one of the reasons I stopped using it.

I have over 230 videos with advice and I do have some home remedies that work to heal and soothe the skin instead of aggravate it so try those out... A lot of junk out there, but if you focus on improving your nutrition and health your skin will start to clear up right away. Hope this helps!
Listen, Proactive doesnt work for all skin types.. I use proactive and its works so good for me. But another thing, your skin might have to get use to using something that you never used? Just saying.

@analiz12100 Actually skin id isn't natural, google the ingredients. Natural means it has ingredients that are vitamin/mineral/clay/natural oil based... Skin ID has preservatives and chemicals, it's really not even close to natural.
@rawrx90 it does work for some people, but that doesn't mean it won't come back up later (which means it really didn't work) and it also is something that contains benzoyl peroxide along with preservatives and dye's so it's not a natural skin care product so I just don't recommend using it overall... @BlairA1995 Yeah, well some skin care products work better than others (Natural works better overall) and it has no negative effects on your health. Also, this is why you need to address your diet! What you eat and drink has an effect on your skin and once you start regaining that healthy balance your skin does too and it becomes healthy and clear again. I rarely talk about skin care products b/c acne is caused internally but just shows up externally!! it's so important.
@acneerasingsecrets to say that acne is only cause by your diet and brushing every case of acne with that reason is completely deluded. yes, diet is key to improving your skin and keeping it healthy, and a lot of people's bad skin is due to an unbalanced diet, but the majority of serious cases of acne is cause by a hormone inbalance. no matter what diet you stick to, however strict, your acne will always persist in these cases.

@acneerasingsecrets They just made a newer version of Nutrogena naturals a purifying pore scrub that has willobark which I noticed is in burt's Bees and this other thing called jojoba I used it today and it was good but the bottle isn't that big its 4 fl oz so ya I have light brown skin I used nexima before clearasil but they both failed and if this does I might turn to skin I'd lol I never had breakouts like this I'm 20 yrs old

seriously for me proactiv did really work. yes at first my skin was very dry and red but after the repairing treatment, I put a moisturizing cream over and it work just fine! my skin is clear now.

I used it for a year and it made my acne worse. My gma called to cancel the subscription to it, they argued with her saying I didn't do it right! ARE YOU SERIOUS?! I suggest NO ONE use stupid Proactive! If you have acne, try washing yr face once a day with lye soap and afterwards, use a light moisturizer. at least that worked for me..
But again, Proactive doesn't work and its a waste of money!!

@98CEDARPOINT I used about half of what they recommend or less *LITERALLY* I underuse all skincare products to test out and did the same with this. Benzoyl peroxide dries out and make's skin red b/c it's a chemical not a nutrient.

@98CEDARPOINT he didn't overuse it, what Proactiv does is it drains all the oil out of your face (thus leaving your fail dry) that's why they highly recommend their green tea moisturizer. So once you stop Proactiv that's why a lot of people break out like CRAZY because your face produces a lot of oil since it's been drained from it for so long.

ive had acne fr years now and nothing has worked for me ....i got proactiv and it works....it worked for my bf and my sister also so it really depends on ur skin everyone is different....also it may be exspensive but u can do the 30 day free trial use everything and they will still pay you your money back.....but like i said this worked for all 3 of us and we are happy with it

I have had acne for all my life. And nothing seems to work. I have tried proactiv and its expensive and useless. I broke out more. What did help me was prescription clarithromycin gel and cleaning my face with glycerin soap. The only problem with the gel is that your skin can and most likely will dry and peel. But it does work. And one more thing. The label clearly says to wear sunscreen if you will be outside frequently while taking the drug. If you dont you can get sunburnned easily.

@TheGaston28 Some acne products do contain BP (not all of them) b/c it does kill bacteria... problem is that it's a chemical and toxic! and it's not something that you want to put on your skin... doesn't make your skin healthier. Your skin only becomes more dependent on it over time and it won't really do much to clear up acne for good... it's just temporary b/c you have to keep using it day after day. My other videos explain why diet is important in treating acne.

It mght get rid of it for now but as soon as you stop then it will come back, same as if you use Proactiv then stop it will come back. It's more of a cover-up.

Proactiv is not a CURE, it's a topical treatment... stop using it and see if you breakout. If you do, it's a waste of money b/c I don't need any skincare product to keep my skin clear anymore b/c I balanced the imbalances that caused by acne internally. I don't recommend it because it contains benzoyl peroxide... acne is caused by many things and is a process (this is why I have so many videos lol) so I would recommend that if you are serious about clearing up your acne to try the secret acne cleanse out and my diet advice & skincare recommendations after that. It doesn't work, period! It's designed to to keep you on it long term while the company gets rich. Unfortunately, these scams are acceptable and FDA approved because they are somewhat clinically proven drugs, but it will NEVER clear your acne effectively. And wiping your face with a toner is just spreading bacteria from one part of the face to another which causes breakouts in other areas. Stay away and learn more from David!

Hey David(: I'm a HS teen going into college--been using Neutrogena products like the Rice protein facial cleanser for acne and oil. Umm, I want to try Proactiv, and I know there are lots of acne preventives/cleansers out there, but I want one that will really work w/o causing skin irritations. It's probably hard to find one out there w/o buying a product w/ soo many chemicals "linked to skin cancer". Yeah, I've looked it up on FDA and etc., but give me your thoughts, thanks.

In the "Recommended acne treatment skincare products" video that I made I recommend many products that are all natural and aren't linked to anything negative. @Yankumikorean All I can say is good luck, I have yet to meet one person who's viewed this video that said proactiv worked for them... either they are using it and it's "somewhat working" but when they stop using it their breakouts get even worse (b/c of the benzoyl peroxide in it) or... they start using it and they breakout even more...or their skin turns redish (what happend to me)... if it doesn't work for you try the secret acne cleanse out... Diet is very important.

I have over 230 videos with advice and I do have some home remedies that work to heal and soothe the skin instead of aggravate it so try those out... A lot of junk out there, but if you focus on improving your nutrition and health your skin will start to clear up right away. Hope this helps!

@acneerasingsecrets to say that acne is only cause by your diet and brushing every case of acne with that reason is completely deluded. yes, diet is key to improving your skin and keeping it healthy, and a lot of people's bad skin is due to an unbalanced diet, but the majority of serious cases of acne is cause by a hormone inbalance. no matter what diet you stick to, however strict, your acne will always persist in these cases.
