in Canada its illegal to own a car 2007 or newer without an immobilizer. the only cars being stolen now are older cars and car thefts have plunged 19% since the new law. all manufacturers are required to market their cars with the system installed. BTW, to defeat an immobilizer requires a sophisticated mind...with that mind it takes 3 hours to defeat an immobilizer. With that mind, you probably work full time making real money doing legitimate work.

I'm not a big fan of immobilizers, though, being an X car thief you know that those things actually make it easier to get the vehicle because the wires have been pulled out to install it, so you don't have to look for them.

Depends if your vehicle is an automatic or manual. If automatic, i recommend to wired a turn off/turn on switch for your motor, which you will hidden in your car. Two Master Lock (Brand Master Lock) (May be found at Walmart) clubs. These clubs are not the two parts that holds the middle. Add a VIPER alarm (Best alarm-make it very sensative LOL) in the vehicle too. Lastly, you might want to pull out a sparkplug wire from your motor or even your ECU.
If manual, get a clutch lock plus add two materlocks (Master Lock-club it on toward the window, Viper alarm, turn off/turn on switch.. It all depends on what car you have? So what car do you have?
It was a mob of guys that did it, the first one comes and Unlockes it, a little later they return and start it with the right equipment for that starter lock.

The insurance Corporation of BC is a govt run insurance company here in BC. There are a number of newspaper stories you will find where the owner of a "stolen" car had his claim denied after it was found that all his keys were accounted for. Challenges in court went down the toilet as the judge sided with ICBC. in Canada its illegal to own a car 2007 or newer without an immobilizer. the only cars being stolen now are older cars and car thefts have plunged 19% since the new law. all manufacturers are required to market their cars with the system installed. BTW, to defeat an immobilizer requires a sophisticated mind...with that mind it takes 3 hours to defeat an immobilizer. With that mind, you probably work full time making real money doing legitimate work.

Yes the more you have the better that's for sure, As you well know slowing the thief down is the best you can do.
I'm not a big fan of immobilizers, though, being an X car thief you know that those things actually make it easier to get the vehicle because the wires have been pulled out to install it, so you don't have to look for them.
Also the ones that also block the fuel are scary, liability factors are tremendous for the manufacturer. That's why we went simple but effective..been a pleasure

Depends if your vehicle is an automatic or manual. If automatic, i recommend to wired a turn off/turn on switch for your motor, which you will hidden in your car. Two Master Lock (Brand Master Lock) (May be found at Walmart) clubs. These clubs are not the two parts that holds the middle. Add a VIPER alarm (Best alarm-make it very sensative LOL) in the vehicle too. Lastly, you might want to pull out a sparkplug wire from your motor or even your ECU.
