The media portrayed this child as having been in terrible pain and having a "useless" life, but she attended public school where she benefited from the special education program and also participated in church. How interesting it is that at the same time, Susan Smith killed her two nondisabled children and was condemned. But Latmer kills his disabled child and is lauded by society. This song reflects that.

@Panahs7 I'm really glad his released this album. I'm actually excited about a new album where his Gus G might have something to do with the writing. There's something to be sure, Ozzy has got great choice in SICK guitarists! It was all going too bland with Zakk (After 23 years) so maybe a change is what's needed! After all, he's been at it for a looooooooong time. Long live... Myself. :)

Fuck I'm going to have to eat my words. I thought Gus G would be the man but I'm afraid he isn't. I know Gus is very technical but for sheer flash showing off and amazing guitar sound you just can't beat Zakk Wylde. The other thing with Gus G is that all his guitar solos pretty much sound the same. Zakk Wylde is a much better song writer. This album is a fucking total disappointment and I'm fucking glad I didn't buy it. Just sounds like pop metal.

this song is about Robert Latimer a farmer with a mentally and physically disabled daughter.
she was in horrible pain until the farmer killed her out of mercy.
he was sentenced to jail for 10 years until the judge called it "cruel and unusual" so he shortened it to 2 less years.
his parole was at full on Nov. 29 and loosened on Dec. 6
