I made it and it worked fine. I put an open and close on both sides of the gate so I could get in and out from both sides :D Thanks for the tutorial.

@KimGyunAh I made that mistake aswell, make sure you don't have the repeater on the piston but have a block between them, or else you won't be able to get under it.

just a tip, but you can use a monostable circuit to put out a pulse;you can use that to retract the wooden blocks, making it much quicker

This helped me to realize that sticky pistons are able to retract a block after they have reached out to grab it, thanks, this will work perfectly for my trap in the floor (removing blocks from under unfortunate victims :P)

I'm having a problem with this set up, at the end with the redstone and redstone repeaters on the oppisite side of the opening part of the gate, they leave they blocks in the air still and dont reactivate the second line of pistons again, which is why the blocks are left in the air.

if you use inverters you wont have to use half blocks to cover...

instead of diode feeding into a block... use diode feeding inverter, feeding into a block above the torch... and then you can drop the whole side down by one block
