  • Been humanure composting for last 9 months and it's saving me about $250/yr in water use! I was talking to someone who used to test human waste for pathogens at a water treatment center and he said they usually never found pathogens in the waste stream which I thought was interesting but I still plan on aging my compost bins for at least a year. I finally switched to using sawdust from a local woodworking club, so it's free!!

  • if your family is so lazy then go shit in your garden

  • lazy?

Spot out where you saw lazy,

  • Sounds like this is very labour intensive for you. A lot of huffing and puffing there. What happens if you are unable to do this work? How do you handle the waste when everyone is sick and unable to work? How do you get the work done like in my family no one wants to work?Does the compost Feminine products?

  • I am not the author but I thought I'd share my 2 cents. Fact is, one is rarely sick when they are consuming an all organic diet, getting plenty of exercise and omitting big pharma medication which I'm sure this man is doing. This isn't something that needs to be done everyday. It would compost feminine products if they were biodegradable. Also, naturally self-reliant people are usually fine with work unlike those that count on the govnt to supply them with their needs. Just a thought.

  • I love seeing people implementing these eco-friendly techniques that help the planet

  • Great stuff, try no-till gardening though, even better stuff.

  • I agree and intercropping.
