@RyanKnowsTech lol, I was looking to get some normal plastic ones but a) I couldn't any :P and b) This case is heavy duty so better safe than sorry :D
@coleisaphosphate I start by recording a lot more footage than I actually need then put the footage into ScreenFlow. You can use iMovie or whatever, I prefer ScreenFlow. I then write a script without looking at the video, then I record me saying out the script in ScreenFlow. I then put the volume of the footage to 0% and relay the audio over the top. I then cut the video down to what I believe fits best! ;D
@coleisaphosphate It seems long, but only takes me about 20 minutes extra - I'm pretty fast at editing video, even if I do say so myself :P And yeah, I've noticed that. I think it's better because more people are likely to stay watching if the video is nice and short - and it definitely cuts out the "umms" :P Owww crap! I just hit my funny bone :(
@coleisaphosphate Well, I don't actually speak in the filming at all - all audio comes from the scripted voice over. And LOL - same with me - it was bloody awful :P
@coleisaphosphate Meh, it was only about $20 - I didn't even bother contacting Lowepro over it because a) They take ages to reply, and b) I kinda needed it NOW! :P
where did you buy it? :)
ziosilvioinvisibile 2 months ago
@ziosilvioinvisibile A local Jessops store here in the UK.

as usual, awesome video! did you do another voiceover?
coleisaphosphate 10 months ago
@coleisaphosphate Yup, this sure was a voiceover. I'm going to be doing voice overs for pretty much all my unboxings and reviews now :D
joethetechiewiipsp 10 months ago
@joethetechiewiipsp sounds great. How do you coordinate so the video and voice match up?

@joethetechiewiipsp That's quite the process haha :P
The videos definately go by a lot quicker now though, because it's one smooth stream of talking and information

@joethetechiewiipsp Very true! Plus, you won't have to edit out the "ums" from the actual filming because you mute that :P
Also, your hands are always moving, so it's more of an active visual
Dang! I hit mine in French class and for some reason my hand felt like it was burning! It was weird :P

joethetechiewiipsp 10 months ago
@joethetechiewiipsp haha it sounds great, nonetheless. Do you use an actual mic or just speak into your camera? haha :P
coleisaphosphate 10 months ago
@coleisaphosphate At the moment, I just speak into my Mac mic for the voice overs, but when I'm in Toronto, I plan on picking up the Blue Yeti mic :)
joethetechiewiipsp 10 months ago
@joethetechiewiipsp Nice :) haha too bad you couldn't get Lowepro to send you this for free :P

@coleisaphosphate Well, Lowepro UK are located somewhere up country. They just don't reply to emails that quickly.

@coleisaphosphate Hahaha! What products you looking at asking for?
joethetechiewiipsp 10 months ago
@joethetechiewiipsp Right now I'm looking at the CompuDaypack. I wouldn't really be carrying my camera around, so I'm looking at laptop ones
It would also be awesome to get one that could carry my schoolbooks as well :P

These scripted videos are going great - well done Joe! Does it take much longer to script it?
RDProductions1001 10 months ago
@RDProductions1001 Thanks Ranald! I appreciate your kind words! :D It takes me about 20 minutes extra altogether (scripting/extensive editing etc)
joethetechiewiipsp 10 months ago
@joethetechiewiipsp I think it's worth it then - your videos have dramatically increased since you started scripting. Keep it up!
RDProductions1001 10 months ago
@RDProductions1001 Thanks mate! Really appreciate it! :D :) I also think it's definitely worth it as well!
