I haven't noticed before, and I can't answer your question. Possible reasons: The old analog sound equipment playes the recording off too slow or the instrument is tuned slightly lower to spare the old, historic guitar. |Thank you for commenting.
This is incorrect. The pitch is slightly more than a half-step flat. Usual "old" pitch is often cited as A=415, which is about a modern Ab, but this is even slightly flatter than that, although it's closer to being a half-step flat than it is to anything else.
Thank you for your compliment. I'll tell the interpreter if I get to know who he is. The guitar is one of the instruments not unlikely to have been played by Fernando Sor. Thank you!
Yeah this is a nice Sound, but the Cam could be better

This excellent performance is by "LASSE SANDBERG" !
He is now headmaster at "Solbakken Folkehøgskole" in Skarnes outside Oslo.
He worked at the "Ringve Museum" in Trondheim around twenty years ago.
Many thanks to "Peter Andreas Kjeldsberg", director of the "Ringve Museum", for providing me with this information!

Este hombre es genial, tiene el espíritu del clasicismo muy adentro, se nota en su interpretación.

This is exquisite. It is hard to find recordings of this piece. I have Narciso Yepes version but this player is steps ahead in expression and tone.

I play this kind of guitars. The tuning was A= 430 HZ, more or less 1/4 step from nowdays.

Is this guitar tuned down 1/2 step from A440?
Mod74 4 years ago
Did Sor usually do that or is it just the performer?
