I was there at the event! I helped build the stage among many many other roadie activities and actually talked a little to Rick before and after the show. He did such a great job and what an awesome guy! I wish there was footage of him and Edgar Winter playing together after Rick's set by himself. You can see Edgar at the very end of the video on the left.

"Hang On Sloopy" was a cover of "My Girl Sloopy" by The Vibrations. They're the ones who decided to name the girl "Sloopy". Back in the Summer of 1965, everybody thought the McCoys were singing "Hang On SNOOPY".

Yeah man... as goes the movies with the "remakes" which I thnk sucks for Hollywood so should go the music biz... because there is little to no new stuff coming out that is exciting/memorable out there. Might have a 10-20 year run entertaining the aging baby boomers and educating the younger crowd with covers on a lot of great rock songs.
