its quite complicated this plant is like... reguler plants live royally taking good soil and water but on the other hand the vft is kinda like a slob needing acidic soil and you must water using special water and using special soil i mean come on -_-

actually venus flytraps only live in a few swamps of north carolina and those swamps are constantly getting threatened by construction so these people are really trying to save the population because if they leave them in their habitat it might cause them to be under a lot of stress and die because of construction.

great advice I never new it would be so complicated looking after plants. When we move house I want to buy one and take care of it so it grows very big and I can feed it stuff I find in the garden!

Im getting mine shipped from I think North Carolina and I guess they grow really good there.

But is it true that you have to water them with distiled water? Cus I bought one from some vendor at a carnival type get together and she told me distilled and it died right away.

i used distiled water and it didnt die. if distiled dusnt work try rainwater. i use rainwater and rainwater also saves some money.
