Hot Diggity-Dog! I love those sign man clips! I'm so glad I grew up in the early 80's when SS actually focused on the fundamentals of early reading skills.

I agree. You know, now, it seems they force kids to just say the whole word, with no sounding out. There is this emphasis today on being really learned with scholastics, really quickly, without time to develop. That time to develop -which is missing now- was very much a part of early SS.

I just wish they would realize how the newer episodes are lacking that. I have no idea how they expect to teach them how to read that fast.
