oh gosh, i MISS her already!!! elena is such a great person on and off the court. she totally commits herself to the sport she loves and the fans she has along those years. she's totally a class of her own. we're gonna miss you dearly, lena!!! very best and thank you so much for those wonderful years.

Jon Wertheim asked an interesting question -- which would you rather have: a Grand Slam title or all the love and adoration from fans/colleagues. Whlie I don't think they're mutually exclusive, this video shows that Elena's career was undoubtedly a fascinating one that will not easily be duplicated. I've been an avid WTA fan for many, many years, but I know that *I* will miss her greatly.
