This is my all time fav episode ever,I have never laughed at anything ever so hard, the tears were rollin. There will never be a show in comparison to the great comedy this brought to my house,I sure wish it would air on tv again & replace some of the smut they call comedy today.Thankyou to all the cast ,thankyou for all the LAUGHTER & thankyou for the best comedy show ever!
I have never seen this- hilarious!! My grandmother loved Mother Harper! She was so bold and gets right to the point, surrounded by idiots she loves no matter what.
I love this episode. A similar plot was used on the radio show Our Miss Brooks. Walter Denton's tape recorder kept revealing the worst parts of their conversations.
I remember as a kid watching this show with my grandma. She's no longer with us and everytime I see this show, I always think of her. I can remember her amazing laugh at this scene. Just watching it really puts a smile on my face, because not only is it hilarious, but it takes me back to a place I haven't been in a long time. Thanks for posting this.
It's a crime that shows like this are gone and we're left with these trashy, untalented, poor excuses or shows today..The shows back then lastest, and aired and lasted longer than today's untalented hollywood's marriages. Thanks for the upload
@EarthAngel504 Amen to that. Most shows these days have the same formula especially the dramas, crime shows, and reality programming. The sitcoms are not funny at all. Thank goodness there are channels that air the older shows and of course youtube.
I wish they would put this back on tv. It would be great to see Mama's Family on a network or networks such as Antenna TV, TV Land, or Country Music TV (CMT).
This scene was one of the funniest of "Mama's Family". I also like the episode where Vint and Naomi find a home for a stray dog, while Thelma (not knowing about the dog) worried that they were trying to put her in a nursing home.
@LauraLynn2008 That is funny. I think Vicki Lawrence was in her early 30s when she started portraying Thelma Harper. One of the best sitcoms ever made!
@stargazerlily86 same here i was introduced to the show that way lol, i just wish tbs would have the reruns of the show start up again, oh the memories
Seems like every time daddy went out of town....Mama fell off the wagon!....she got completely plastered, what a mess.....that's when she started having men in.....of course, she made us kids swear not to tell daddy!
