the nsx was originally made to compete with the best sports cars from europe mainly ferrari and it did that very well even beating them an many occasions. but over the years the competition has moved on and gotten more power leaving the nsx out gunned. it just have the power to compete on high speed tracks such as fuji.
@DeScRuN I think the problem with the NSX-R is that it's just a track car.
As fast at it may be it so harsh it's performance doesn't impress me.
As far as engine performance is concerned, it's the price you pay for low weight.
Tuning the engine even further would be to the detriment of reliability so the only option is a bigger engine, and that would bring not only more weight but also upset the weight distribution.
It is however, a fine benchmark for comparing sportscars and that's what they do
nakaya is like ryosuke takahashi, he knows a lot about racing, i dont mean he is the fastest driver, but he has a lot of knowledges about cars and racing you know...besides, he looks like ryosuke takahashi from the initial d series
gan san is fast, it doesnt matter if you give to him a mini cooper, he is fast anyways, by the way, nakaya is a good driver, like takuya (son of gan san kurosawa)

i think is because the driver, gan san on gt3, the porsche gt3 is a RR, rear engine, rear traction, without help like stability control this car can oversteer very easy, so, if gan san drive for example the nsx-R and takuya kurosawa (gan san´s son drive the gt3) is probably that gan san beat the gt3 on the nsx-R...
c'mon now, the the R34 engine just ain't reviving like it should be. im not saying the GT3 is slow, but its common sense, something went wrong with the engine. trust me, that R34 engine is reliable, for some reason its not reviving, prolly just minor shit.
sure the engine was brocken..but even with 100% wrking engine the GT3 would have easy beat the R34 at the track..look at the Suzuka battle were the R34 GT-R was owned badly extrem badly

Z-Tune is much much more expansive as a GT3..Tuner car 20time build on second hand cars vs stock production car GT3... Choose the Z-Tune I put the Edo Competition 996 GT2 against it and it will easy toast it in every possible way.

i think ur wrong, the Mines is one of the fastest car out there. the Mines has 650hp? and im sure it'll do good as the Edo 996 GT2, but BOTH machines are nice though, rather have BOTH than domestics, anyday.
The first time I see a best motoring video were they realy pushed a Porsche... amazing how easy it owed all of the JDM´s..and more amazing the low realibilty level of the JDM´s..one or two lap more and the Porsche and Ferrari would the only cars seeing the finish lane

The problem of the NSXR is just the engine. I thnik new engine with air intakes can make a 400 HP machine without overheating fast as hell.
It's incredible fast on corner and stability is great but the power is ....

The Edo 996 GT2 is one of the fastest road legal cars to have ever lapped the nurburgring, i don't think even the Mines R34 can keep up with it.
