First of all i would like to say Ur makeup is gorgeous and second that freezing jumbo pencil thing does work!!! :) thank u do much for that idea. I have been trying to depot my pencils - which I've lost them already -and I just like the pencil form a lot better and when I would sharpen them soo much product would stick on the blade and that's just a waste! But anyway ur awesome !

Some really great ideas! Thanks. Myself Id just be a bit concerned of leaving lentils or rice in living area as Id think it might attract insects! In the kitchen its fine as its enclosed in a sealed container. Even though you are not going to eat it after it has been in your brush pot Id be worrying that I had a nest of insects where Im keeping my brushes and makeup!

CD idea is great..i like few things from NYX but not the eyeshadows..i have this great collection of different eyeshadow brands e.g bobby brown ,rimmel,mac,YSL and prestige ets.How can i make sure that they dont go bad.They could last me years because i have quite a big collection but i have notice that i do get eye allergies time to time..got sensitive eyes though i got perfect eye sight..any idea.Friend of mine was saying that i should buy change eye make up every 1 year.any suggestions.thanks

Thats such a good idea! But the thing about "higher end" sharpeners is def not true. I have sharpeners from Lancome and Clinique and they both take product with them. The Lancome one even comes with a little tool to remove the product from the blade.

the recycling tip is great! i do the same thing with my cans, they are very useful, so much you can put there. I have one for my hair brushes and combs and one for pen and pencils, but I hadn´t thought about one for my make up brushes! I´m gonna work on it!

Try pulling everything out so you have just a front and back on the hinge, then glue in a magnet sheet the size of the case, then you can probably just attach it! If this didn't help try enkore's vid on it!

You can also use old VCR cases if you need something a bit bigger to hold your makeup. It's a great idea because they have those little sleeves that you an put paper in to decorate with, and because it's bigger, you can keep your foundation, eyeliners etc in it.

just a tip, i would suggest using a neutral colour like white, grey or black for the paper you use to stick the eyeshadow pans on. Although a coloured paper is very pretty, it slightly alters the way the colour of the eyeshadows appear due to the contrast of the eyeshadow and the paper.

You should try ebay but be careful what you buy because there are a few fakes on there otherwise i don't think you can get cheap mac products from any other shop. You should try other brands to.
