did anyone else notice that the ending is out of sync? It didn't used to be on the video, but on all the DVD's it is, when the dad says 'shall we dance?' he actually said it about 5 seconds earlier but the sound is delayed, cause on the original video they start dancing when the beat kicks in

A gorgeous final dance- punctuated by that kick-a__ slide of Scott's and the Carmen-like transformation of Fran. As someone else said below, Fran in particular makes an incredible visual transformation throughout the film, and this last appearance in the red dress rocks. (The stance @ 00:13- hot!!)

I love the way Fran progresses through the movie and becomes stunning looking ballroom queen in the final scene! And Scott is masculine and delicate and kind of shy at the same time - you can see that in their very first kiss scene. And then when he raises up from his knees at the end of paso doble - I would love to know what he thinks, but I can bet any money he his amazed too with Fran's beauty, warmth and breathtaking performance!

If only the pros on DWTS would dance the traditional Ballroom Dancing instead of adding all the hip-hop and other non-sense dancing into the routines. I absolutely love this movie and I too, have lost it and I miss watching it. It would be so nice to watch DWTS and see the traditional Paso Doble danced, as well as all the other dances that they twist and turn and hip-hop their way to it being downright annoying!!

Neither @GinkoMstress; nearly all the rare films appear on the torrent sites. I feel that the scene is best viewed within the context of the entire movie, and that's likely where you (or anyone else) will find it. 'Cause it is a rare find on DVD, if you can find it at all...

It gives a rather accurate depction of the way dance contests go, especially the way the others were dancing. The competitions are more like specticals then actual dancing. Incidentally, the proper paso doble (hopefully I've spelled it right) actually depicts a bullfight and I think it's clear that's NOT what the other competitors were doing...And I think the song is an edited version of the overture from the opera 'Carman,' but I'm not sure.

First off you cant compare Dirty Dancing with this dirty dancing is a chesey boy meets girl 80's Chick flick. This is Strong Drama and would of been a good tv series this was powerfull Dirty was not . :D Also think back to when you first seen this movie would you of tough at the end you would be watching Fran and Scott dancing when i first seen her i was like hmm just a silly extra :D and yea the reason the TV series wasnt made was some of the cast died Naturel Causes
