You guys talking about how calibration is nonsense clearly know nothing of what you're talking about.

The tools built-in to most operating systems give you some idea or best-guess at a calibration, but you really notice the difference from simply eyeballing it when you have a dual monitor setup. There's no way to just do it free hand.

Further, you can set the monitor to emulate the colour matched output from a CMYK printer so that you know exactly how the output will be on paper, CMYK print.

Some monitor's have a colour calibration on Graphics card.. I know on Windows 7 there is an option to calibrate but I don't know exactly how effective it works.. I'll actually try it but my monitor is perfect as it is.
