The lyrics for the songs are great everything else sounds half fasted put together, then u got Brian doing his own thing & he doing some amazing stuff, this album is so depressing to listen to on how slow it is.
i don't know, but i don't like how the drums sound in this album, the bass just sounds like another set of drums, and no bagpipes? i think they can do it better when trying to get the old sound, but this song is coool,
@sullacokorn Doesn't matter. Even if they were made by some effects, at the very least they were pleasant to listen to. With this, there wasn't ENOUGH effects, making the melody and feel of the song sound like it was droning on and on. Plus, i mean, in Oildale it's "WHY DON'T YOU JUST LEAVE ME ALONE".... that went out of style like 10 years ago. At least this song has no message and is alright, but with oildale it tried to be "angsty" like the 90's, which is really old and out of style.

My point is that you can't be judging the album by what is "in" or not. The only thing that 'sucks' about this album, mainly, are the chorus'. All the verses, in my opinion, are really good. "Holding All These Lies", "My Time", "Never Around", and "Lead The Parade" really shine. "Holding All These Lies" really brings it back, the end is phenomenal.

I hated this album. I think this and oildale were the only good songs. I'm surprised at myself, i love all of Korn's albums and consider myself a real fan. However, this album was an earache. No melody whatsoever.

And to all those people that said the album wasn't good, you are right; It was Incredible. A true achievement. Forever the Children of the Korn.

@kingplutoxiao1 it is shit. This album had no melody. This is the same shit as their first album, no progression at all. I am a huge KoRn fan, but i completely loathed this album. No melody, no progression of message, same old "oh i'm lonely and miserable" message. Very disappointed with this one. HOWEVER, everything before this was great.

I don't listen to Lady Gaga or shit like that, i hate Greenday, and the only real "mainstream" people i listen to are Linkin Park, and their new album is nothing special either. Mainstream can be good. That's why it's mainstream. KoRn was mainstream in the 90s and Metallica in the 80s. Why? Because they were kick-ass. This song was only popular among KoRn fans because it was KoRn. And it sucked.

@magggot000 listening to hed's solo album.... some songs on that album soung more like korn.... than korn sounds like korn..johns voice just is not as good as it was... its just to whiny!!!...he sounded good till the take a look in the mirror album... after that....meeeehhhh....and there is no grouth in korn as a band....munky always wanted solo's in the songs, but hed refused to let him play solos... now that hed is gone... they should try and include solos in the songs. step up their game!!!

if u really consider this album diffrent you should cuz every koRn album is a very diffrent act this album is more old stlylish but is not the same none of their albums are thats what makes koRn diffrent especially when u get the 7 string and the 5 string tune it low and trash the solos and add in sqeeks sounds and sirens for your solos wich in my book is a new genre not nu metal but koRn!!!

@coolguy75100 well dude it is an awful album... in comparison to their previous work... this band is showing no progress at all, they have not stepped up their game...and john really sounds awful.....may be its a a bad phase like metallica had till death magnetic... but this is one of the worst korn album ive heard...i prefer their older songs like..."i did my time"" counting on me" and most to follow the leader... this song is not bad, but the rest just suck!!!!
