For a NC its a nice cigar but under no circumstances should it be called a partagas its no where near a partagas in cuban sense at best its a well made imposter they should change the name to something original rather than clinging to the good partagas name
man I smoked a 6 inch by 54 inch ring gauge Partagas Black. I bet I was smoking it for about an hour and a half. I liked the shape and the construction and the resistance on the draw. it was smooth but I expected more spice in it. Still a good cigar but if you haven't tried it yet I recommend the J. Fuego Gran Reserva No. 1. Jesus Fuego is quickly becoming my favorite cigar maker.
Had one of these tonight and it didn't do anything for me. It's strong tobacco but not really any other flavors. Looks and smells great. Had a CAO Brazilia the other night which was fantastic in comparison.
@loopba Really/? I think Partagas Black is way bolder and richer in flavors than CAO Brazilia,though..It has more of semi sweet chocolaty,spicy,nutty and earthy flavors than CAO Brazilia in my opinion..
Jerry you need to do a review on the romeo y julieta duke 2009 limited edicion.... although it's amazing how much like chocolate the partagas black is like on the pre light draw... with that saltiness balancing out the cigar as a whole with that sweetness... My best cigar right next to the romeo y julieta duke 2009 limited edition
im new to cigar smoking and i dnt know if i should or should not take a new cigar out of the plastic wrap when i put it in my humidor. please help me out
i once had a cuban montecristo number 2 or 4 cant fucken remember what number it was but it was very peppery aswell throught the entire cigar and the flavour did not change it stayed constant untill the cigar was finished . but i think want to try this partagas black
@OrdinaryMoe Haha ya I smoked a CAO LX2 about 4 months ago...one of the larger sizes and it kicked my ass so hard that I had no desire to smoke and actually stopped smoking up until this week. I've decided that although I love strong cigars, I'm gonna stick to smaller sizes from now on.

I like your review and I watched a few of them but I can only get through about 1/4 of them because you smack your lips too much and I cant enjoy the critique of the cigar. Maybe Im OCD but just take a second when you swallow, let the suction in your face disapate, then open your mouth without making noises. Its just super distracting. And I do like your reviews

i tried matches the damn cigar smelled like a cigarette :( and that was about 70 bucks down the drain cause it wouldnt even light......and no i didnt puff.......second time i only tried a cigarillio CAO flavor.....tasted like a cigarette and smelled like one too used a match again this time i did puff so it would light fast tasted sweet for one second then thats it
Box per week? Wow, they're $90-$110 a box. Good video, thanks for the descriptions, but try to not repeatedly say the name of the cigar. Be sure to put it in the description.
Great vids jerry! everytime i watch one I end up smoking a little later. Its good to see people who love the art of cigars doing creative things. I bought a partagas black and fired her up today after seeing your review. I was a little sceptical based on the extremely dark wrapper, but what i found was an amazingly balanced and sweet cigar. I wouldnt have picked it up if not for you.

either way, its up to personal preference. i personally remove the wrap before putting the cigar in the humidor but you dont have to.
