  • I ask you, where was Jesus? Where was The Archangel Michael when Joan needed Him most? Where was Saint Catherine who lead Joan to find the sword she wielded underneath the altar of Her church? Where was The Pope? Where was France? Where was Justice? All those who sold her out be damned! No one deserves to die in that fashion. The Church of Rome still has much to answer for. And they call Pagans barbaric.

  • @dianaAthemiscyra Pierre Cauchon did not obey Rome, but the English .. it was a political trial .. They would never commit the crime of, because after the murder of Jeanne, it was impossible for the English to stay in France ... In the year 1453 John Talbot lost his last battle, Jeanne's prophecy is made..

  • FURONO GLI INGLESI AD ISCENARE UN PROCESSO INQUISITORIO FARSA....

FU UN MARTIRIO....ED E' SANTA GIOVANNA D'ARCO...PER LA SANTA ROMANA CHIESA CATTOLICA.

    NON DICIAMO BUGIE...PER FAVORE!

  • PER LA CHIESA CATTOLICA, GIOVANNA D'ARCO E' SANTA!

  • is italian lenguase films...nub...there aren't english

  • i am pretty very sure she would have not been that calm at the steak :/

  • @kaystar91 No matter how much someone accepts their death, they'd still cry or SOMETHING. At least in the TV mini series she screamed in pain, much more realistic (and heart breaking).

  • It's all the catholics faults!

  • @Vidaldemonti

It's all the ENGLISH faults !

(Joan appealled to the pope, but the pope received the appeal after the execution. He broke the judgement and rehabilited Joan.)

Joan IS catholic. She is a catholic saint.

  • I know precisely, that at this last minute she has loudly cried desperately: "Jeeesuuuus".

She is my great senior spiritual sister. And I know: what she felt in this moment.

Je connais exactement qu'elle au dernier moment a crié hautement avec acharnement : "Jéeeesuuuus"!!!!

  • steckt euch euer kreuz in der arsch und das ganz tief alte wix kirche

  • May she rest in peace.

  • Ein BUDERUS REGENEINLAUF??? im Mittelalter???

  • BURN THE WITCH!

  • A perfect example of what the Christian Religion is made of - Catholics and all the rest of those organised sects and that is what they are, period! God did not write the bible - God has nothing to do with those idiots - don't even get close to me to try to preach the cospel - so, Christians, stay away from me, please!

  • @Vidaldemonti

Stay away from us. If you preach where we watch then there will be conflict, you and I cannot deny that fact.

  • @PhilipineMan

You are absolutely right. No religion has ever been any good for this world. History has shown that it has only created misery, wars and sickness. God is love not intimidation and controll. Tell that to your pope and don't let him get close to me, ever!

  • @Vidaldemonti

Yes, criticism has never deterred the Catholic flock from carving out its own piece of the world. It has only given us Catholics an excuse to roast you on a stake. If you are hear to blab your tongue then it is an unwelcome nuisance. If you want to prove me wrong go and shoot the Pope; so we can have a more better excuse to shoot your kind back :P

  • @Vidaldemonti Sorry for hearing that, but plz be respectful to the Pope just like being respectful to anyone else

  • Why do they have killed people in the name of the roman-catholic church (or in the name of our god ???: this would be disgusting), although there is one commandment "You are not allowed to kill (murder)".

F**k lies and f**k superstition (an evil church, which is accusing dissidents (heresy)) or you can say normal liberally thinking people in those times........

  • @KerstinMonika

Read the history of Joan D'arc before commenting.

The English actually staged her trial, that ended up with her burning.

All of this for political reasons: They wanted to keep Northern France, and Joan was a treat to them, military speaking.

  • where is the rest of the movie - please and thank you

  • Lilkitty also they didn't have camras back then

  • the video is fake cause it takes a long time for bones to burn

  • And what happened to her vagina ?

  • Well done thy good and faithful servant.

  • The happy part of this whole scene is that all priests involved may never be resurrected. We will have to wait and see won't we. From my lips to the Pope's ears!

  • I made myself an hipnotic regretion to my previous life, and in one of them i was a witch being burn by people like popes dress in white and i also was dress in white. but, they resemble the kukluxklan, the curious case about this regresion was that i didn't knew about the kukluxklan, and three days later i saw a new and the picture obout them.

  • SUTURA

  • did what

  • Compared to Messenger and the miniseries, its pretty poor!

  • well that was lame and unrealistic.

  • that movie is shit, they wanna make us believe a stake burns so quickly?!! The girl isn't a bad actress but this scene is so borring... the last scenes of "Joan of Arc" with Leelee Sobiesky and "the Messenger" with Milla Jovovich are very strong and emotional

  • The tortureres look a bit .. gay..

  • Are they flamingly gay? lololol.

  • Extraordinary Sequence. So charged at every moment.

I find the heading stupid in the wake of just pain and beauty.

Maybe consider changing it as I'm sure your love

    of the film is true.

  • hell is a christian construct it never existed before then...just laughable now in the 21 century

people who say that need a reality check..the true joan was misrepresented..burning people as the they did was barbaric...

  • avery good movie clip

  • ''anyone'' that gets a trial in the next world and found ''guilty'' of any wrongdoing including ''devil'' worship will be sentenced in the ''second death''. no exceptions. joan stood strong in the ''truth'' and was forced to lie against her will that led to her execution. the person who wished it will be be retrialed later if he is guilty of devil worship from his previous life. the ''fire'' is a sacred thing and it is used only for eternal damnation of ''devil'' thinking.

  • i have this movie. i disagree with her accusers and they tricked her into execution to serve the wishes of the english. i'm sure that the accusers will be damnated, later. they will be put to death by permanent burning in the second death(it means the soul will be destroyed)and joan of arc will be ''crowned for life'' with or without a king.

  • i would like 2 take a moment 2 say a prayer 4 all those

who were accused of witches and killed. may they

    rest in peace.

  • amen

  • Now this is the footage I was looking for to make a Witchfinder General music video!

  • is this a movie which movie?

  • not every one died of the flames most died from the smoke before the flames got to them

but i do feel sorry for thoughs that died

  • Her body should still be there once she was burnt. Even her skin maybe.

  • a person's ''soul'' is preserved by ''god''. the ''devil'' can't touch our ''souls'' unless he claims ''souls'' of people who are devils. ''joan of arc'' was falsely accused by a priest who was later known as a ''satanist''.

  • what does that have to do with what I said? Sorry if it sounds rude, but I never spoke about her soul....

Unless you were continuing your previous comment.

  • Sexy. I wish this was in color.

  • What did she say??

  • Only if a witch weighs as much as a duck and made of wood ....then u can burn her

  • you people are just sick and need to think what kind of people you are, if you are for this, i BELEIVE we should lock you up and throw away the key. Seriously

  • my heart goes out to the innocent people of execution, execution is also murder who are we to do gods job in memory of the innocent people

  • @adena539 i know agree, they say god comes to judge the living and the dead so wouldn't that mean that it's gods job to punished, hell is like a punishment place. he's the one that knows who's really bad and good.

  • No surprise to see the religion of this poster!

  • A hot steak is better than a cold chop. Nyuk nyuk nyuk!

  • The priest on the left looks like Blackadder...

  • Lame! No one would burn to death without screeming in pain.

  • The smoke probably killed her before the flames got to her.

  • No it did'nt. The smoke probably killed her before the flames did but all the condemned at the stake get to feel the flame for a relative short time that must seem endless.

  • According to the legend, she did'nt secream cause god relieved her of pain.

  • God relieved her of pain? He didnt do that for most of the victims. Why single out one girl from thousands?

  • He's a fucking one-sided god, is'nt he? Man I don't know, It's according to the legend, she would'nt have screamed maybe it's all making up but god might have helped her as she went to the stake on her will. Anyway, why god lets the evil exist, why god lets illness thrive, why god let fallen angels do what they did, why god relieved Janne d'arc of pain out of thousands. I don't know, christian god does'nt make sense to me.

  • All organised religion, and in particular, all the monotheistic faiths, serve to keep the people docile and under control.

  • nice to see we share the same view.

  • Thanks, jpoux -we freethinkers must stick together, seeing that the 3 major monotheistic faiths are causing such needless trouble in the Middle East...

  • atheism for the win!!

  • God does things we cant understand

  • How would one know the difference from good without evil?

  • Actually anyone who was ever buried at the stake would have passed out from the smoke before too long and then would not be conscience to feel the flames for most of their death...

    Just sayin'.

  • *Burned at the stake.

  • You'd certainly hope so, Felicity. You'd hope the wood was dry, the executioner knew how to be humane, and that the wind was blowing in the right direction.

  • Yeo, yep. They say what got to them was the sheer heat or caborn monoxide poisoning as well. But if wind was right then it would get to them first really form inhaling the smoke they would get CO2 poisoning in their blood.

  • actually, some people died through smoke inhilation (sp). but i did read upon a few cases where victims would be burned before they died. i believe i read joan of arc suffered from this since her execution platform was built extra high so everyone could see & since the fire was so big, i believe the flames got to her before she passed out, it would explain her screaming & calling out to god etc .... damn europeans

  • yeah, when ''joan of arc'' cried out to jesus christ and she felt the fire, then, god's spirit came down aided by angels and took ''joan'' to heaven. when we die; we go to sleep automatically(to prevent the devil)from touching our ''souls''. it doesn't matter if we get ''burned''. in the first death; we go to sleep. in the second death; you will be eliminated. ''joan'' was already ''sainted'' and she knew that she was safe and preserved of her soul.

  • Unfortunately that's not true. Many of those who were burned at the stake were killed by the flames. Read the accounts of the executions of some of the "heretics." Really horrible deaths.

  • It's Joand'Arc they burned her male clothing. It was a political act buy the English.

  • they say that her heart didn't burn.

  • see this is what christians did to people back then and people think of them as right? theyd still be doin this today

  • catholics

  • Christianity is evil in its deepest roots. No matter the extension of it, it's all the same.

  • I've learned. She was Florence Delay and it was a 1962 French film.

  • What is those wet where girl walks on?

  • Who is actress

  • why the "witch" don`t scream and were is her body after burning

  • She is getting unconscious by the smoke of the fire. And then the priests and folks waited until she is totally burned to ashes.

  • there is always leftover. god took her .thats what they tried to show.

  • The only good part is that she didn't suffer then. Poor lady... the Middle Ages were nothing but cruel and horrible.

  • Hard to believe, but in 1000 years' time, people will regard US as barbaric and cruel, as well as profoundly ignorant.

  • I don't think people in the future would have that kind of view of u.s. They probably would acknowledge our country and our time in history as the beggining of the end of abject cruelty in terms of society in general. obviously individuals will always be capable of attrocities.

  • All civilisations are eventually pitied - or despised and condemned - to a certain extent. The Victorians thought they were the ants' pants- we think their understanding of hygiene was abominable. Who knows- the people of the future might think our type of warfare is appalling, but to us, it's a lot more merciful ( and quicker) that it used to be.

  • "to believe, but in 1000 years' time, people will regard US as barbaric and cruel, as well as profoundly ignorant."

There are 300 million Americans. Please don't lump us together in one category. Have you ever been to America? That'd be like me saying all Australians (judging by your profile) spoke like Steve Irwin.

  • My point was that the past is usually viewed with pity and/or horror. We tend to think ourselves superior to our ancestors, but humans will always find ways of harming their own species, for whatever reason.. Yes, I have been to USA, and love American people. No, I do not lump a population under one heading.

  • The USA is the only nation to have nuked 2 cities.

I've lost count of how many others it's bombed. It was considered "necessary" at the time, but was it? St Joan's executioners probably felt the same way about burning heretics. Burning someone at the stake is not fundamentally different from burning them with radiation from an A bomb, is it?

  • omfg they are fucking mean

  • God took her - that's the point. She didn't burn

  • What the hell was the point of the dog?

  • Eclipse, the screaming and the melting faces is totally over in the context of the movie. It's beautiful because it's boring. It's a very simple movie with few camera angles and the silence suggest the death acceptation of the martir. The unreal empty stake suggest her ascencion to santity. Anyways it was made in the Cineccitá in the 50's not in today's Hollywood. little production, big screenwrite.Hollywood forgot this basic lession, so there is the writers strike.

    PS:

  • there was no screaming, bitch!

  • Those are the cruelty of the Catholic church claiming to be the servant of Christ but did contrary to the teaching of Christ Jesus. Indeed Catholic church is the slve of satan.

  • this is pretty fucking boring, where's the screaming? and the facemelting? i doubt if you're burned alive you're gonna stand there in total silence.

and yes i feel sorry for this poor woman. but stupid movies seem to simplify this death way too much... let people see and hear how horrible it really is.

  • I feel sorry for that girl who died... even if she was a witch... No offense but the British back then did cruel execution styles

  • It would be funny if a crow landed on one of the priests head and brutaly picked out one of thier eyes. lol xD

  • lol that would be pretty sweet

  • he would have deserved it XDDD

  • this is a horrible way to die.

  • No kidding

  • dude it sucks!!!
