It's a story of going to dance with Eva (Ieva - ieva ,and not 'Leva', lol). There is a stronger part in there, the cheesyness you can figure out, if you go looking for the translations in some Loituma - videos.

Have to admit, I made one of them.

-BUT the lyrics were made in 1930's, before that it was an instrumental - so people had already developed a scatting tradition by the time the lyrics came, I bet.
