@390merc65 A diesel won't start in the cold is because the fuel is now sludge. Its too thick, won't pump into the engine, and won't run. Put a diesel additive in the tank to thin down the diesel. Buy it at Autozone during winter, and keep adding recommended amount per tank.

Taurus *WAS* one of the best selling cars, in the 90s. But it was a POS. It's not even in the top 25 best selling cars today. That's too bad because the current Taurus is great, especially the SHO. The 1st gen Focus was a piece of shit, but the current gen has gotten good reviews.

I have DEFINITELY seen with my own eyes that there are several American vehicles that have made significant strides in the areas of build quality, durability, reliability, etc. but that still leaves a great many vehicles that are still sorely lacking (don't get me started on the POS Dodge Journey that I saw at the New England International Auto Show last December).

Maybe that would help someone who is feeling very patriotic not buy a new Camaro that was built in Canada, or a GTO that was built in Australia. Oh and wait, I forgot, many "imports" are built here in the US, by US workers. And many of the parts that go in those cars are made IN AMERICA by AMERICANS. It really doesnt matter what COMPANY you buy from, it matters where the parts came from and where they were assembled.
