Here is the story. In 1979 5 months before the was the air force and ground forces were prepairing for a coup against khomeini. This coup was financed behind the scen by saddam and his brother and the head of the estekhbarat at that time were in contact with shahpour bakhtiar the last prime minister of shah in Paris.
Saddam paid 5 mil to these guys to put the officers together and do the coup but at the same time through soviet back then handed the list to Iran so mullas can execute these officers. In first round 250 pilots were executed and so many special forces too then saddam attacked.

People should remember that most of the Sea Furys that survive were ex-IAF brought out of the country in the 80's. About 25, I believe. One was flying out of Duxford UK in IRAQi colours. Inshallah. But Iraq must align itself with other Arabs and with Russia, not with the Western demons. Even with Arabs united alone, it is more than enough power to destroy the evil invaders of the West. But with Israel's and America's constant interference, this cannot be possible. Hopefully, Iran will be able to destroy any influence of USA or Israel, so that the Arab states may unite in friendship and honor, and develop one another.

I just hope that Iraq turns out ok. Hopefully the security situation will improve and their economy will recover, and they will become a great ally of ours, like Japan, or Germany.

I'd say the pilots were a great group of men ,,, doesn't look like maintanence was a big issue for the planes ,, shame to see them in such bad shape ,, thats alot of money going to waste

never, we are are the same but in different cities of an old ancient earth. BTW after mullas and war I have not even my religion left but we are human and as long as we can dialogue like this there is no planes needed.

good to hear that and I hope there will be a site, one day to honor all the brave men and women who died in that war. As I told you I have killed so many during my time serving the army and what hunts me is not the planes in my dream but their faces and the thought that if I could have done it differently but apparently we will never know the answer.

Yes Abbas Doran is the man and the sad part was that he had to make that flight. They wanted to distribute SOB Komeini's flyers over Baghdad and somebody had to do it and he was the chosen one. Think about it, to die for flyer!!!

Here is the story. In 1979 5 months before the was the air force and ground forces were prepairing for a coup against khomeini. This coup was financed behind the scen by saddam and his brother and the head of the estekhbarat at that time were in contact with shahpour bakhtiar the last prime minister of shah in Paris.

Saddam paid 5 mil to these guys to put the officers together and do the coup but at the same time through soviet back then handed the list to Iran so mullas can execute these officers. In first round 250 pilots were executed and so many special forces too then saddam attacked.
