bro press the home (circle) and the lock buttons together it should turn off , if it does hold the home button for like 5 seconds then plug your itouch into your computer and open itunes and when it does restore your itouch. i had the same problem =]

hold power and home until you see a guy with a speech bubble saying something in russian (this is the restore screen). connect to iTunes and then restore, then recover from backup. I am having the same problem. I say fuck the jailbreak and just wait till the iPhone 3.0 jailbreak.

the "system" that your ipod/ iphone is running. the bigger the number, the newer it is.

it works like updates do, because that is what it is. when you update the firmware, you have the most recent "system" running. it is like a version of the software. i hope this makes sense

I think you make it go away by pressing and holding the application logo until they all come up wobbling, then it should have a cross, you press the cross and it will delete!!! :)

can you turn off the ipod? if so, turn it off, then press the sleep button and the home button at the same time until the itunes logo with a picture of a usb plug and an arow, then plug it into itunes and press " restore" button in itunes
