  • that HTP looks like a red version of my Clarke. Wonder if the internals are exactly the same..

  • Excellently done- thank you very much!!! I love my HTP Mig.

  • Awesome video. Thanks, just what I was looking for.

  • Thank You!!!!

  • Interesting to see how you can sometimes know when someone knows their shit with the first few words that come out of their mouth.

  • ohhh!!! thanks pal!! i was looking for a long time... so gooood, greeting from colombia

  • good tips ,thank you

  • Very instructive, thanks for posting this.

  • Thanks for this. I'm teaching myself to weld and this video was very helpful.

  • Thanks Kevin always so helpful;

  • Good info. So that little welder has to use its #3 out of 4 heat settings to weld sheet metal? That's pretty weak.

  • @CoolasIce2 What did you expect; it's only using 110 outlet power.

  • Good explanation Kevin, makes me want to weld. Thanks for posting!

  • Cool info...I'm a welder and love all things having to do with welding, my other love is machining and if your shop is set up for machining I think people out there would be interested in your techniques too...I know I would be.

  • I don't like the power setting switch at all. Kevin what wire brand are you using? I am still using Twenty Gauge brand .030 metal cored wire with a .060 stickout , the weld quality on thin or thick gauge is outstanding.

  • love the good information

  • Great tips, straight to the point. this video helped me.

  • First and foremost, if you will be welding automotive panels, change your wire diameter to .022"( you mention "wire gauge" - it is NOT gauge, it is thousandths) With .022" wire/feed rollers, you have MUCH more "resolution" in which to fine tune your heat/feedrate. Using .022", I"ve actually welded on the EDGES of 18 ga sheet metal to build it up. Trying doing that with .030" without melting it down

  • thanks for vid.. it is difficult to describe it all with a ten min on you tube. gas welding can get a cert, flux core doesn't...the down and dirty welds need eyes more than listening. great vid anyway.

  • One of the best welding instruction videos online as I have looked at many many different ones to self teach welding. Unfortunatly once I got used to practicing and actually started welding, my car caught on fire and that was the end of it but an expensive lesson learnt! Most of the other "how to" vids dont even cover wire speed so thanks for this :)

  • thank you for this.

  • Nice this is going straight to my favorites list!

  • thanks for the info a welder is next on my list for my Australian dodge dart equivalent will be using plug welds to refit the quarters, stanley tools make a spot weld drill bit my friend got one for his project will have a play with it but i think i will get one too

  • Thanks bud!

  • really useful thanks

  • Great information. Thanks for posting.
