  • I'm here because of the Martinni commercial :D

  • Narnia!

  • I heard it on Narnia sure (biggest obsession in 2007), but I listened to music like this beforehand too and I'm 18. Problem?

  • @kiaralouisee I'm 18 to and I listen to stuff like this to.

  • I'm here because of Narnia.

  • I don't know about Narnia, but I'm here because of a Tex Avery cartoon....

  • My first taste of this type of music was in 1973 when Bette Midler did her remake of "The Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy of Company C", which not only became a big hit but also rekindled an interest in the original version of "The Boogie Wogie Bugle Boy of Company C" along with other hits by the Andrews Sisters.

  • @littlemikey1954

    its company B dude

  • Yes i too was introduced to them by Chronicles of Narnia, its catchy

  • My boyfriend Johnny's mother sang this to him when he was child. He couldn't remember the words, so here we are.

  • I must have totally overlooked that this was in Narnia, I'm here because I love watching Tex Avery cartoons (search "Swing Shift Cinderella")

  • I love this song, I am glad it was on narnia, I love the Andrew Sisters :)))

  • I began to like the Andrews sisters 5 years ago when I saw The Chronicles of Narnia (:

  • some of us actually remember when this came out ps i had a crush on laverne

  • I'm not ashamed to admit that it was the Narnia movie (which I watched only last night!) that got me interested in this song.

Isn't it a good thing when movies and books perk your interest in other things?

  • This song is cute I love I first heard it in Narnia

  • @roselinabonnie1997 Same here! :D

  • Thank you for uploading this. This was my grandmothers favorite group and it makes me happy to hear them again.

  • I think most people are here because of Narnia :) Why else would we suddenly decide to hear a '40s classic?

  • @JTeamjesters Why else? For some of us it's because we're old. LOL

  • @John1948OneA lol that too. It's a good thing I said "most" and not "all" :) I'm glad that music like this is exposed through movies to us youngsters :) I have much to learn about the oldies

  • @JTeamjesters Lol! I actually do love this kind of music, but I must admit I looked for this particular song because of Narnia ;) I thought it was the cutest song when I heard it!

  • @JTeamjesters Lol! I must admit I did look for this particular song because of Narnia. I do love this type of music, though :)

  • @maemaerae lol so do I :) And same, I'm glad Narnia and other movies helped me find all these awesome songs. Have you listened to the Puppini sisters? They are like a modern day 40s-50s style 3-woman singing group like the Andrew sisters. I was listening to some Dean Martin yesterday too. Contemporary mainstream is getting overused and boring. I love anything that has jazz and swing (like Parov Stelar and Caravan Palace) and something catchy like this :D

  • @JTeamjesters I LOVE Dean Martin! If he wasn't dead, I'd marry him! Lol :) Really, the whole Rat Pack is amazing. Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra are the best though. And I haven't heard of the Puppini sisters, but I will definitely be looking them up! Mainstream music these days is really boring! I was at prom this year, utterly bored and wishing to leave, missing my Dean Martin music! Lol! I made my friends listen to my oldies music before we left and they hated it! I felt like an old lady. :D

  • @maemaerae lol how sad, I wish I could share my love for the classics with my friends, but while very few like this style too, most of them just tell me to get over the past. Haha, no way! And High five for being old ladies! :D I really really wish there are Rat Pack or jazz clubs in my neighborhood or downtown where I can get my groove going on Friday nights! haha.

  • @JTeamjesters Haha maybe we should start a new trend of Rat Pack clubs :) Speakeasies are kind of a fad (at least where I live), so maybe a Rat Pack club could work too! That would be the coolest thing ever!

  • @maemaerae YES INDEED :D

  • @JTeamjesters Because it's beautiful. :)

  • @domovoi14 yes it is :)

  • @JTeamjesters thats the exact reason im here! lol

  • @JTeamjesters

I'm glad they're watching "Narnia" and that it brought them here! =)

  • @lmheneveld same :D

  • @JTeamjesters Mafia 2 man !

  • @JTeamjesters thats why i got here

  • this was such an amazing era of music

  • I've always loved this music, but it was Narnia that bought me here xD

  • @tasharooo LOL same. XD

  • I'm so glad I'm not the only teen who loves this genre of music!!! Where are you guys at?!?!

I feel more comfortable filling my ears with this rather than Lady Gaga or Ke$ha.

Anyone up for a dance to the Charleston? :)

  • I wish there were some classy throwback clubs around...

  • Music will never be this good again

  • que bonita cancion, me gusto mucho cuando la escuche en la pelicula de Narnia, el leon la bruja y el ropero; que lindo.

  • I'm here because of Narnia.

  • @JPnintendofan sameee ;D xxxxx

  • i love it<3

  • Look, its lovely that you people consider yourselves a type of revivalist movement, but when you see the types of comments that seem to exist on every pre 1950's song about how "I'm (INSERT YOUNG AGE HERE) and I love (INSERT PRE-WAR STYLE OF MUSIC HERE)". It becomes less of a "at least people still enjoy this music and not all of that rap crap" reaction, and more of a "goddamnit more kids clogging up the comment section with crap about how old they are". Please.

  • @AlbusPercyDumbledore And yet, as the channel owner, I welcome their comments. As long as they are respectful and don't contain profanity.

  • @AlbusPercyDumbledore im 14 and i love listening to Frank ,Dino and all the others with my 89 year old grandpa

  • @TrappedInPhilly Good on you, old music is timeless stuff, its nice to know you are making your grandpa a happy man.

  • @AlbusPercyDumbledore Agreed. My issue is that it has practically become the next, "dislike" youtube meme.

  • God, I love this song. Not just because my name is Johnny, but it IS a part of it. It's like they're complimenting my abilities 50 years before my existence. :P

  • Im 16 I hope this kinda music is gonna have a come back, B'couse its so good!!!

  • I absolutely love the Andrews Sisters. I'm seventeen and have been listening to big band, swing, and jazz since I was small. These gals are swell! ;)

  • Oh Wolfie oh Wolfie... :)

  • @XieYali That's what brought me here.

  • loveeeee.

reminds me of the scene in narnia when they are playing hide and seek. lovelovelovelovelove.

  • i'm fourteen and all my friends think i'm so weird for listening to music like this but i just smile and laugh cause they don't know what they're missin :)

  • @TheRoseAmethyst i'm 16, plus i listen to music from the 20's--90's AND classical music; so all my friends think i'm the biggest of freaks

  • @TheRoseAmethyst i'm thirteen and my friends think im weird too and its nice to know that there are some teens out there that know good music when they hear it

  • @jasmineheart209 i completely agree, 15 years old and i've been listening to this music for a couple of years now, again a lot of my friends don't understand it but i don't care. I love it when I comments from fellow teenagers saying they listen to classical, movie scores, jazz, swing, rockabilly, etc. because really, nothing beats that kinda razz :)

  • @TheRoseAmethyst you got class i'm 18 and i know lots of kids our age who love this stuff

  • This is in NARNIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you for posting this. My grandmother played this song many times.
