Back when women could go braless and nobody made a big fuss about it. Lord what the hell is with bras nowadays? Everyone is getting more censored and more bitchy about the clothes women wear...
She is great ,,,So is peter allen ,,,just listen , listen ,,,,buy the albums ,,,but never in our lifetimes will there be such great entertainers. ,,,As I lucky that my grandmother taking me to atlantic city ,,where I saw so many give there best at 5 -6 shows a day and 3- to 5 days a week keep going Lisa as you are an icon
Girlfriend known as Elsie---Nicole from Moulin Rouge is Elsie. Plainly....does anyone see how PERFECTLY that fits her. i wish someone would do this song with clips from moulin rouge. Like when she's laying out like a queen on the floor strewn with rose petals and she's in her evening dress. not what you would call ablushing flower(moods to impress the duke), rented by the hour. the day she died..pills and liquor. i remember how she'd turn to me and say-- "the french are glad to die for love
@Doriard1989 the 2001 version hurt my eyes, ears and brain.....except for the "Roxanne" song....and I am a Nicole Kidman .fan... .just couldn't get into it...and yes I have seen all the Moulin Rouge versions, except Constance Bennett
..."they delight in fighting duels... i prefer a man who gives expensive jewels.....DIAMONDS!!!!----- and then cut back to cabaret--- "star by, admitting... from cradel to tomb. it isn't lat long a stay!!! ...ect. i think it would be great to integrate the two.
Minelli captured the complexity of this lady, and the times, and that's why her performance stands out. There are people on YouTube criticizing her for singing too well. Just imagine what would have happened if Steisand sang it. A horror of beautiful singing.

@MrShaun42088 But Moulin Rouge didn't come out until 2001 - Cabaret was 1972. Cabaret, therefore, has zero references to Moulin Rouge. Honestly.

@laura4neverX uh......Honestly? Uh ...I think Contrariwise---Moulin Rouge was reference to Cabaret.
