there is also a 75% drop out rate not a 60% rate. That is in BUDs alone not the additional year and a half of training. They are the most elite force in the world and I have absolute respect for them

this was a great movie i saw it for the first time yesterday. It has some major flaws though and many people who know about the SEALs say its awful because it is a very poor representation about what the SEALs are like. The training isn't 3 months it is 6 months...and that is just BUDs school. it also takes place in coronado california. After BUDs is about an additional year and half of more advanced training before someone is awarded their trident and made navy seal. not 3 months

This movie was so inspiring to so many women.I am a 15 year old Girl and on my 16th birthday I am joining the Canadian reserves, then possibly in later years join the military. I find it so immature and offensive when you ass hole men say that women aren't as strong as men, u agree,we do not have the same build as men but I have done things in my 15 years of life that grown men have told me they would never have been able to do. Pls don't be stupid twits to women.

Mostly because of the male's protective instinct, which the Israelis found out in 1948 makes for bad discipline if a woman gets shot on the battlefield.

@SecuR0M haha thats not true my sister was in the Army and they ARE in combat roles unfortunately Only as Combat medics but they still see action.

I am in the process of joining the Canadian Military and Women have ALL rights in our military as the men, NOTHING is closed to Women in the Canadian Forces all are treated with Equality.

@taxi20071 They have tried it in many special forces purely because of female outcry that they could do it too and none have made it through. When very few of the fittest males can complete it and handle it it will never happen

@MetaKittie No offense, but there is no woman on the face of the Earth who could ever make it through BUD/S training... This movie isn't even an accurate presentation of what real Navy SEAL training is like. I agree women should be treated equally, but they've caused plenty of problems in the military. Did you know men have to take a pregnancy test before they deploy? All because some woman said "Well I have to do it, so why shouldn't they?" Complete waste of tax dollars right there.

@MetaKittie I respect women, but as for ground fighting they are simply never going to be better (unless they start breeding females with mail growth hormones). They could be equal, but never better, I respect women, but men just have the different strength that is really required.

To be called "equal", yet you state women are "just as good, if not better" than men.

I've served in the military, woman make poor soldiers. They cant carry the packs, can't go without showers for a few weeks when on operation etc.

Women are worse physically than men, it's a biological reality. It's why women don't compete with men in the Olympics.

They are on average better marksman, that is true, but in areas in which the military demands (most which are physical) they are not.
