What upset you about this scene?

What upset me was that Alan wanted Monica to 'prove' herself to him when I felt it was his fault (at least the majority of it) in the 1st place that they'd been headed toward divorce...I felt that her shreading the divorce papers was proof enough that she loved him and that his request for her to 'prove' her love by allowing him back in their bedroom was somehow wrong - at least in the way he worded it. I felt if I had been Monica (making this gesture) I would have been offended...

I got you. I agree with you since I think the whole Alan turning on Monica because of Rae and Skye was ridiculous. Alan showed no regard for her feelings in some of those scenes in that storyline (i.e., inviting Rae for the holidays, etc.) I blame the crappy writers for that one. Total disregard for the history and character of Alan & Monica. Thanks again for posting.
