This was one of my favorite cartoon shows to watch on Saturday mornings.... I first heard this song on the show. It's been stuck in my head ever since then. Wow. Can't believe I still remember it.
@ArmondoeCruze88 Um, no, this is about a virtual lover, capable of giving real sensations, that is somehow broadcast all over America like a TV transmission.
@ArmondoeCruze88 Nope. Masturbation (unless it is mutual masturbation) implies being alone. A verse of the song explicitly says "You'll never spend another night alone".
Note to kids watching this...I don't remember ANYONE dressing like that back in the 80's unless they were on TV. Me and my friends all wore jeans and t-shirts, just like kids today. All the funky bright colors and clothes and such, were purely a fad thing that preps did...just like they do today. Just wanted to FYI, that way folks don't think everyone looked like dorks back then. LOL! Oh, and this song was awesome back then. Always sad, though, b/c it meant the show was over.

I don't even remember preps dressing like that in the 80's. Our preps dressed more like what you saw a few years ago with the popped collars. Sweaters seemed to also be in. More like what you would see from a John Cusack 80's prep. Kind of the country club look. The only time I ever saw these kind of clothes in the 80 was sitting in store windows or in the manufactured pop culture world of MTV. I guess the clubbers may have done it, but I was too young for that scene.
thank you thank you thank you for posting! i looked on the internet about 10 years ago for anything kidd video. there was nothing. youtube is the greatest. is this not the sexiest video for a 10 year old to watch? made me feel all FUNNY. : )
that song got me thru the really really hard times in my life ,esp. one nite when i was suicidal it came on in the background ,and i decided not to end it all , thank god for KID VIDEO and video romeo's!
At the end part, I was like, "Oh, how utterly cheesy," but when he smiled, I realized if I was where the young Hispanic woman was, I'd probably smile back in spite of myself. That guy was cute.
I remembr that movie but never finished it. It was hard to follow, to me. I trhink Dennis Hopper was the star but could be wrong. Anyway, I don't see why it couldn't be more than coincidence. To them, they were the future of 80's pop-rock.
It's wonderfull to know that in every part of the world the children in the '80 looked the same cartoons!!! I'm Italian and when I was a child I saw this wonderful carton as also Chipmunks!!! I think that kidd was my first love, his real name is Brian Scott, but i don't know now where he and the others are ore doing.
Well you're 14.Carla is hot and she is not as old as you think she'is around 20 in here but been hot doens't have anything to do with age.Take Rachel Hunter, she is older than me but is superb hotter than 80% of the womans I know of or I have seen/heard in the media (counting those below'n above my age of corse)
Actually, what you love about Rachel Hunter is airbrushing and make-up. Few seem to realize that even your most attractive woman looks nothing like their glamour shot when the cameras are off them. Carla could be a babe for more than looks -- chicks who play instruments are hot by default.
I think there's still a Kidd Video fansite running that has everything from lyrics to trivia, pics, and the vids. I haven't been to it in a few years so I don't know if it still exists. I recall that Whiz (formerly of the Brady Bunch) still makes music, though.
I remember when NBC actually had Sat. morning cartoons. Especially the mid-80s I remember the Smurfs, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Kidd Video, and the Punky Brewster cartoon. This really brings back memories.

jayberwanger, you couldn't be more correct. Carla was/is a total piece of ass, and is largely responsible for my penchant for latin women.
And Robbie Rist was the only genuinely talented member of this outfit. They sure as hell didn't hire him for his looks!
fyresyde1066 3 years ago
fyresyde1066, I can't believe people actually gave you thumbs down on your comment.
It may have been a little crass, but hey, it's the absolute truth.

Anybody realize that at 1:59 in the video, it shows MAN PRESET THX 1139?
Well, TXH 1138 was a George Lucas movie that came out in 1971. Maybe it is an homage to George Lucas.
