  • Thank you so much Lincoln. Much Love and Namaste

  • When I meditate by focusing on my breath, should I replace my thoughts that I have with the sound my breath in my mind?

In other words, I am coordinating the sound of my breath in my head with my actual breathing in order to block out thoughts.

  • @CBasie2856 By focusing on the breath you will be taking your attention out of your thought stream and deeper into silence and your self. You do not want to create more sounds in your mind, but rather simply listen to your breath and feel the movement of your chest rise and fall, expand and shrink. Pay attention with soft concentration so that your attention does not wander back into your thoughts.

  • @CBasie2856 One technique is call the Ujjayi Breath. It is a yogic breath technique that makes the sound of the breath a little louder so it is easy to stay focused on it.

To perform this, gently tighten the muscles around your throat to narrow the breathing passage. Inhale and exhale through the nose. Use the diaphram to control the rate of breath. You can slow your breath to a relaxed rate and breath fully into your entire lung area (low, middle, high).

  • @CBasie2856 Be relaxed when you breath. Do not tense your muscles to try to fill all your lungs - this will disturb your peace. Just take full deep breaths, breathing from the diaphram.

If you are tightening your throat correctly, you will hear an ocean sound coming from your throat. You can listen to this sound and it will help to you quiet your thoughts.

Then as your meditation deepens you can release the Ujjayi Breath and perform a more relaxed, less controlled breathing.

  • also, how important is to have a good posture when meditating, what is the best posture for meditation.?

I appreciate you for bringing this guidance into my life.

  • @vedathirst Correct posture when meditating is very important. Sitting properly will align our spine to allow for optimal flow of energy through our sushumna and all other channels. When the energy flows smoothly our mind, emotions and body are more peaceful. Then it is easy to go within.

Any cross-legged posture will work. Lotus posture will tilt the pelvis to help open the sacrum. Sitting in a chair is also acceptable. Do not rest against the back, but sit up right.

  • Lincoln, I wonder sometimes what makes something true, what is genuine Love, when I meditate and ask for Love to be shown I have come to ask myself shall I trust it, will I be "safe"... I guess the feeling is harmonius, that's what matters, but from my personal experience, I've been more identified with the disharmonious,.. I guess I came dragging a load of karma and decided to deal with everything in this lifetime...how to accept that which is new....? I wish to understand my suffering

  • @vedathirst It is your mind that is creating the fear and distrust and projecting it upon your experience. This fear is blocking you from trusting yourself and God more fully. Try to remain in practice and work through the fearful thoughts. See the fear only as an illusion. There is no danger in connecting more deeply to yourself and God. You must want to connect more powerfully than your fear wants to keep you suffering.

Remember that the fear has no reality outside the ego.

    Namaste.

  • @ChannelHigherSelf Yes. My guidance tells me, that this is just another skill like any other skill it takes practice. It's all a game of perception. I know there's a world of harmony and purity, despite all the crap. Thanks!

  • @vedathirst You are welcome. Namaste.

  • love it thanx lincoln! much love

  • I realize that once you paused, you teeter back and forth slightly. This happens to me aswell even when I was young and "looked into myself" in a quiet moment. I even do so unintentionally when I find myself in a certain meditative state nowadays. I do not practice meditation. I'm sorry for my blunt expression but why is this so?

  • @Nhordmyr There is a flow of energy in the area of our spinal cord called the Sushumna. When we place our awareness back inside our self we become more aware of this energy flow. Sometimes it affects our body and causes it to sway or rock. This is the energy movement called the Kundalini.

  • @Nhordmyr It is not necessary to practice meditation or spiritual technique to feel this energy. Everyone has this energy within. Certain practices can however develop and increase this energy to awaken psychic abilities and better health and happiness.

  • After some research, Im beginning to think that the heavens, the Creators, time and relativity, the 4th dimension, the consciousness (light) are all related but are still a mystery that we do not have the resources to solve, but with all the people finding and guessing about the subject, it's all going to make sense in space and time

  • It seems to me that everything is a mystery. We cannot understand how the Ego came to be or anything like that. It's a great mystery!!

  • Much Love and appreciation for you dear Lincoln. Namaste`

  • You are God, as all that is, is. Your will, is to be in joy and become unfolding freedom, through clarity and experience. You are always manifesting, because if you weren't, you would't be *experiencing*. Being desireless is a desire in itself. All truths are true, and personal to the individualised expression of all that is. Variety creates contrast, which creates growth and expansion. When we decode the collective conciousness it is filtered through reality definitions that we have chosen.

  • Greetings Lincoln,

Thank you a very powerful message.

  • wait a sec i thought there was no thing as dying or dead

  • Welcome back Dear Lincoln. :)
