  • If you want to improve your Portuguese.. i am here..Hugs..

  • That's not how u say "kiwi"... it's "kivi"

  • @Clavsicus in Brazilian Portuguese we do say KIWI and not kivi.

Well done Evange for your efforts!

  • @mutante1309 Well the original way is "quiuí". In portugal we also say "kiwi", "quivi" or "kivi" (like i said before) they can all be pronounced in 2 different ways ( The "W" or "V" can both be pronounced as "V or "U")... btw for those who don't know... "W" is originally pronounced as "V" not "U".

  • There's a good training for you'll that wanna learn how to speak brazilian portuguese. put a couple of fingers into your mouth and then try to say 3 times and quickly..

"Nem a aranha arranha a rã. Nem a rã arranha a aranha."

  • your o's are soft o's they should be hard o'd

more like [u] with tight lips

    then [o] with loose jaw

  • Ananás e abacaxi são sinônimos!

Acontece que no Brasil nós usamos mais a palavra abacaxi e se você vier pro Brasil falando ananás, provavelmente muita gente nem vai entender do que se trata.

  • "mexirica" and tangerina both means tangerine

  • well.....

I noticed that..the person who spelled all words is not a portuguese native,but..will be perfectly understandable by brazilian people.

by the way: I loved when she pronounced these words: laranja ,limao ,and..let me tell you that: the right word is : mexerica

  • Well done, it is perfectly understandable by the people of Brazil. And don't worry about having a little accent (american?), brazilians don't care about this and even find it cute. Don't listen to those portuguese people, you are trying to learn brazilian portuguese which is a distinct language. Good luck!

  • Que legal...vocês aprendendo portugues

  • the portugal portuguese and the brazilian, same language, diff just diff accent..chill girl >.>

  • Your nasal pronunciation for "MELANCIA" (watermellon) is just a masterpiece. So, don't get a flu, otherwise you won't be able to speak it properly, ok?

  • Although you have a strong accent, I thing it is a nice footage for those who try to learn this language. Thanks for posting this, and do not get upset with purists. Portuguese, like English, has a variety of pronunciations.

  • It would be very important for you to hear the same word with different accents, in order to distinguish what is important and common, and what is simply regional and VERY awkward, tong-tied, pronunciation. I can easily tell that you are learning from a Brazilian, and even which kind of Brazilian. In fact it seems to me very time consuming to try to imitate a Brazilian citizen, instead of simply learning the language, and work on an accent later. (continues)

  • I'm afraid you are "buying (learning) the language, and taking the accent for free"... Portuguese is a Roman language, of the Indo-European family. It originated in Galicia (today unfortunatly a Spainish province)and northern Portugal. YOU MUST KEEP IN MIND that Portuguese is the official language of Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique,Portugal and São Tomé e Príncipe, and co-official with Chinese in the Chinese S.A.R. of Macau and with Tetum in East Timor. • obrigada. =)

  • Brazilian portuguese is just more flexible, but it have some words that don't exist in portugal, words thar came from the immigrants...

Oh my god, what is Mirtilo, I never heard about it!

  • wait whats the difference between portugal portuguese and brazilian portuguese?

  • well when learning portuguese people should learn portuguese from portugal since it's the original and most correct portuguese, but maybe portuguese from brazil is easier for americans to learn?

  • nelson16: No, actually I'm not too slow to understand such a thing, but I think I just got carried away. I'm sorry; if you were just joking, I apologize for being so rude. Ah, whatever, és brasileiro? Para que é que eu estou a falar em inglês então? De qualquer maneira, desculpa lá ter sido assim tão arrogante xP

  • Isso não é português daqui do Brasil não caralho!!! Isso deve ser português de Angola ou Moçambique...LOLLLL e ainda tem retardado que acha que é brasileiro. NO COMMENTS.

  • essa mensagem foi para mim??? esse portugues ehh brasileiro pq a menina americana tenta pronunciar as palavras como nos brasileiros.... E se a pronuncia parece com a portuguesa ou angolana eh pq ela nao tem um bom sotaque...

  • vc percebeu que na hora que ela fala: o figo, ela fala como nos: o figu. E portugueses nao falariam assim

  • u're brazilian portuguese is really nice...

  • What? You know that the original language is European Portuguese... "Portuguese people stop being involved in this" wtf? Get a life, please. She asked for criticism and people who actually talk the language she's learning come here to help her. Jesus Christ...

  • U get a life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, i was just joking!!! Dont u know what a joke is??? Oh yeahh im sorry i think you are tooo SLOW to comprehend such a thing!!! Really I apologize....

  • You should pratice the pronounce, your pronounce looks the pronounce of the Portuguese of Brazil. I think you want the pronounce of the Portuguese of Portugal. Mas deixa-me dizer-te que se continuares a treinar vais conseguir.

  • Not bad at all! Practice the nasalization a bit and you sound perfect (it sounds somewhat Spanish to me with the lack of nasalization). Good work. Muito bem!
