Hey, I am using Fl Studio 10 and my trigger pads just won't work, Fl Studio just won't recognize them. I tried this (Enigma) and it says the settings can't be changed cause it's on read-only. So I don't know what to do. One thing I know is, my trigger pads has worked some times. Any help ?

I don't understand what you mean. If you are asking if it comes with built in sounds. Absolutely not. It's a midi controller meaning there is no way to get sound if there isn't an external instrument connected.

The arrows which allow you to upoload and download presets show themselves to be inactive. It says there are no devices to be found, although I'm using my axiom as we speak. Could someone please help me, I'd be very grateful.

@famgee Are you having problems mapping the Encoder Knobs in Ableton? Because I am too, Ive had my Axiom for a while, and have everything working how I like... besides the Encoder Knobs.

When I assign my Rotary Encoders to any parameter in Ableton Live (pan, volume, instruments, etc) the parameter value ALWAYS jumps back to its original position as I turn the encoder. This happens no matter how quickly, or slowly I turn the encoder, and changing the Acceleration curve doesn’t help. HELP?!

@xdzyI try the midi settings of the knob actually within ableton, not the axiom. When you right click the knob it should give you options on how the midi will behave - absolute, relative etc. Play around with these and you should be right.

You shouldnt need the enigma software to do that. You should be able to go to midi mode in albelton live, select the fader on the software then move it on your controller.

you need to set your buffer setting to what ever works best with your keyboard. It also depends on what program you use. In fl you can just go to audio settings and adjust it, if you experience audio lag

@TJmusical It pretty much blows if are using logic pro, The Enigma does not have any Logic presets, It works pretty good with Reason & Pro Tools but if you are working with Logic you have to midi learn everything with logic and the Axiom, and they dont seem to be interested in supporting the Axiom ppl using logic...In other words, Buy the Axiom pro. Well a friend of mine brought the Axiom pro for Logic, kinda sux too. Get a Mackie controller if you want to do more than trigger sounds

i think you need to adjust the midi buffer size, to reduce latency, which is way it takes longer to respond. you need to have a good fast processor ans sound card otherwise you will not be able to get a clean sound out of it, in other words, as you increase the buffer size the harder the CPU has to work to keep up.

I know music theory and find it hard to make songs with a mouse... some poeple need expression for the notes they play in order to compose, and then there are effects/filtering which turns out much better programmed live. I write all my songs on my guitar, then transfer the notes to fl studio, i think people who prefer a mouse wouldnt make very good musicians 20 years ago even with learning an instrument.

The Axiom 61 is GARBAGE if you are using Logic...GARBAGE!!!! As far as the feel and playability, its great, semi weighted keys are cool...after that is just a lot of useless buttons for the most part. Well...you can program the button "From Logic" using the learn feature..which is cool for setting up most of the basic stuff..transport, volume, pan and mute, but as far as getting deeper such as program changes and the different zones, there are NO presets in the Enigma editor for Logic

In my opinion if you want to get some good control over your DAW look into a Mackie controller. Also if you go over to M Audio help support and ask about using the Axiom with Logic they tell you to go over to Apple. The Axiom isnt bad with pro tools or Reason, but with Logic it REALLY sucks.

I'm using my axiom 61 in LIVE, I've assigned midi controls to all the knobs, sliders and keys. I was curious though if there's a way to use another bank of settings to have those same faders, etc control different things if i switch the memory bank. like have knob 1 control a flange, and then switch a memory bank and have the same know control eq.

That's where the presets come in. I have a piece of tape on mine to tell me which preset to use for what module.

You can however use a different control surface at the same time as the Axiom. For example, you could get a Behringer BCF-2000 for the Reason Mixer, and then use the Axiom to control Thor or whatever.

Enigma can help... but isn't necessary. 1. Install Axiom as controller in Reason (use add controller in preferences). 2. On the front of the Axiom, hit "recall" and then "10" on the number pad. That should do it...

How do I assign the sounds from reason re-drum to the pads in my axiom 61. on mine it will play the 1st pad then skip 1 then the next pad might play. How do I get all 10 sounds to play?

Sorry this took so long... The short answer is: on the Axiom front panel you need to hit "recall" then "10" on the numeric keypad. That will load the Reason preset. If that doesn't work, you need to install the Reason preset from m-audio. Go to the m-audio website and download the Reason preset file and follow the instructions.

Enigma lets you program presets 1-20 on your Axiom. You can do it all on the Axiom front panel, but its WAY easier to do it using Enigma. That's what this video is about...

SEQUEL doesn't support control surfaces. You can use the keys and drum pads on the AXIOM, but the sliders and knobs won't do anything. You won't need Enigma either! When you get to Pro Tools then you can download the PT presets for Enigma at the m-audio website.

FL Studio would be a much better option. It supports control surfaces, although you have to download an Enigma file from the FL user forum to make it work. Once you follow that procedure all of the buttons and sliders and the transport buttons will work.

1. Download Reason Remote Control Surface setup from m-audio website

2. Run Reason and it will detect the Axiom.

3. Reason will load it's control program to preset 10 on the Axiom.

4. Hit Program then 10 on the axiom to load the preset.

Press the data 1 button and then a drum pad. A little picture of a note should be flashing in the display. Use the + and - keys to change the note until you hear the drum you like.

GarageBand is tricky... you need a third party add-on called GarageRemote. See the instructions on the M-Audio website. Just search their site for GarageBand.
