So the only conclusion is that Iran wants to make or already has a nuclear device( atomic bomb or dirty bomb)
@123backinyerface the world is trying to rid themselves of nuclear power & iran is trying to accuire uranium? It seems to me that it's NOT going to be used for " providing electricity" for the peoples of Iran. rather i'ts a win win. If the "west" doesn't stop those shipments iran wins because it has uranium. If Israël or another country tries to destroy the shipment or try to steal it, it will be another victory for Iran & their supporters for it will have MASSIVE media coverage.
@123backinyerface So i go back to my statement: why nuclear power & not solar energy or wind energy or energy generated by dams? If iran has the betterment of ts people in mind they should not use nuclear energy its plain & simple. & let put it this way.. if a solar pannel malfunctions it will not blow up in your face & eradiate a whole area... the only thing that can happen with solar pannels is that they can catch fire.
@123backinyerface The only thing that can be hazardous would be a dam. If it breaks you'll have major floods but when it is repaired or cleaned up people can still live there. If a nuclear facility malfunctions like in prypiat where the chernobil reactor had a malfunction that caused it to explode you do not rebuild, you do not live there because any human dat lives in that regions will suffer radiation damage. So i don't see why on earth people would like to have nuclear energy.
don't worry what goes around comes around... either you will have a two state solution, a apartheid state or a failed state yet you continue to build settlements... hypocracy at it's finest... just remember the jews and arabs terrorized my english ancestors after world war 2 on your so called sacred ground. keep thinking your untouchable... you will see.
and yes the united states and israeli foreign policy contribute to the terrorism you see today don't deny it.
@Joniversity - perhaps you would care to deny the Irgun and the Stern Gang existed - those TERRORIST groups? Do you know of them kidnapping Brit soldiers, murdering them, and then bobby-trapping their bodies? Funny how that isn't ever mentioned in the US media but when it is controlled by those with names like "Bloomberg" it is no small wonder.
@Joniversity Actually his comment is bang on. If anything its you who is stupid.
Jews terroized middle east for 50 years, building setelments in the most controversional areas, They made Gaza strp into a ghetto, they are trying to wipe out Palestiniens. Lebanon, Iran, old Iraq, Syria, Jordan, are all agaisnt Isreal.
They are not evil, they are tried of opression and USA inflence. Go home and gtfo of my homeland right?
@FUCKZIONISM666 Without even trying to debunk this genetically disproved claim (can you even pronounce haplotype?). Antisemitic discourse is pretty much well understood as a term. So your comment shows two things: A) You are too stupid to read (and/or understand) scientific documents, and you relay on antisemitic BS science (corresponding in stupidity to creationism) and B) You are too stupid to understand the meaning of a pretty much simple and universal term... Not very surprising i must say.
lol @ people who say Israel is finding an excuse to bomb Iran. Did Ahmadinejad not say that he plans to wipe Israel off the map? Was he not chanting "Death to Israel", which there's recorded footage? Did he not endorse holocaust denial (with conferences, museums with cartoons, and a new website) in order to vilify Jews? Did he not say that "Zionists" (aka Jews) did 9/11 (which, ended up backfiring on him as he pissed off Al-Qaeda big time)?
@Joniversity think you can just ignore the past do ya... just like how you gave saddam weapons and gas during the iraq iran war and didn't care about the kurds then but when war suits your needs you turn around and attack. afghanistan is another example. as will iran and so on and so forth.
@HabsCanada I never ignore history if it's relevant. But when history is irrelevant to the matter discussed then there's a good reason to ignore it. Now tell me please how does the fact that the Iranian theocratic regime (which is built upon a theology that presses you to quicken the end of times) is about to get nuclear capabilities is relevant in anyway to the shah? enlighten me.
@NedaAlive You use of the word "kike" will now make me block you. It's one thing to criticize Israel. It's another to be outright antisemitic - which also sheds light on your true agenda - i just hope normal ppl won't be fooled by the likes of you. Kiss my Jewish ass.
Other things already driving oil sky high.....our wars for Israel, Israel destabilizing the region with their constant threats and attacks on neighbors, our military's USE of a great deal of oil. I wish Iran DID have a nuke - they need to balance the unstable rogue nation of Israel - a nation that has repeatedly attacked and betrayed the US to boot!
Iran have never start any war in past 400 years ..and there is no any single proof of Iran is after N-bomb ! Iran is surrounded by N-BOMB countries Russia-Turkey-Israel-and Pakistan ,and even if Iran gets a bomb ,so what they gona do with it ?? they gona bomb America ?!! this is propaganda ..
@artin74 A) The question "what they gona do with it ??" Is exactly the problem. When you have responsible and SECULAR regimes then you can at least anticipate their steps. When on the other hand you have a THEOCRACY that believes in the hidden Imam and that it should speed its coming and that calls daily for the destruction of Israel, USA, etc. You just cannot take the chance. B) There's overwhelming evidence they're after a bomb -- you are misinformed.
@Joniversity the regime in Iran is religious and fanatic and we all know that, and they chosen by England and u.s.a , just like Zionist and talliban and Pakistani regime ! but the fact is ,they are not crazy and they know N-bombs are useless today and the use of it means suicide for any country ..think about it ...
@artin74 Wrong. 3 nuclear bombs will destroy Israel. But 60 bombs and Iran will survive. Israel ought to liberate the iranians from the religious fanatics. They can do it. The IDF is the best
@JulianThePhilosopher - actually, this makes a good case to drop the backstabbing cultists in Israel as an ally and support Iran. We could actually GET something with that - with Israel all we get is more debt and more enemies. It doesn't make one bit of sense to support Israel.
@ScottfromTexas Ok you're beliefs about Israel and Jews, distorted, dumb and frighting as they are, are your own and that's OK. But now seriously, would you really recommend the US government to ally with Iran??? I mean come on rub your synapses together - a regime that has a stated goal of making the entire world Muslim? how stupid are you man?
@Joniversity - what is distorted about my views? Israel has ATTACKED us one more than one occastion - Iran hasn't. Even after we funded Saddam who killed a MILLION IRANIANS (funny no "Holocaust" memorial to them in the US - why is that?) Even after we shot down one of their airliners! Good grief - the only thing distorted here is our support of Israel even after they SOLD OUR INTEL to BOTH the Soviets (Pollard's "work") and China (Patriot missile technology). (cont....)
@ScottfromTexas A) Iran didn't attack the US? Really? How 'bout backing Afghan resistance? How 'bout the Islamic Revolutionary Guard's activities in Iraq? How bout the bombing of the Marine barracks in Lebanon? WTF R U talking about? B) Israel helped the soviets against US? man you're incredible. the USSR backed the Arab states in weapons, ammo and money, WTF would Israel gain by helping them? And Pollard was a spy for Israel. And where did you get the Patriot BS?
@Joniversity - again - this seems like an unfounded accusation but ASSUME it is true - isn't attacking the US and if we weren't there in the first place (doing Israel's bidding I might add) it wouldn't be an issue. You MIGHT want to check a MAP. We have overthrown TWO major countries on IRAN'S BORDER. What is it we are supposed to FEAR IRAN over...some words? Seems pretty lame in comparison, don't you think? What if China invaded Canada and Mexico. Think we might fund the resistance there?
@ScottfromTexas The USA became a super power by protecting its interests, investing in geo-strategic treaties, helping sympathetic regimes, guarding the oceans for world trade, allying with countries with similar moral and political values, etc. You try to attack the very same things that made the USA the strongest country on earth, and although you can argue with the moral values some of their international moves they still did more for this world than any other country in presence today.
@Joniversity - what nonsense - our strange and inexplicable relationship doesn't satisfy any of those things. What makes more sense - to ally oneself with the ONE country with no significant oil reserves or with those with the largest oil reserves, eh?
As an aside, guarding the oceans for fair trade doesn't help us out one bit - especially now.
@ScottfromTexas You do have an ally with Oil - Saudi Arabia - yes the country that exports Wahhabi Islam to your country, finance mosques on ground zero, spread jihad type literature, own 3% of your economy and managed to produce the terrorists that perpetrated 9-11... You also have Pakistan and Afghanistan as your allies - both oil rich - both not particularly helpful to the US to say the least. And now lets think what good Israel is to the US: (cont.)
@Joniversity - why ally ourselves with a monarchy - you can't keep up with your own spin. Only because Israel queers our foreign policy. Afghanistan is no ally but soon to be a bigger enemy when they finally make it clear they won't be occupied.
Again, Iran would make the most sense as an ally.
@ScottfromTexas 1) The U.S. leverages (and sustains) Israeli military might - Arab states that cooperate with the US get what they want from Israel. States that do not cooperate do not get. The US can also deploy Israel’s power to help US allies from enemies (King Hussein of Jordan from the PLO in 1970). And O/C accomplish strategic missions that the US would rather not dirty its own hands with.
2) Israel is provides the US with intelligence and servers as a weapons test laboratory.
@ScottfromTexas Well it seams that the CIA, NSA, etc. don't feel as you do about Israeli intelligence. But i guess your an expert on the matter and know better. Regarding that 9-11 thing - are you one of those nut cases that think it was an inside job, or mossad trick or whatever. If so don't even bother raising it up - it's not even worthy talking about (NWO, ZOG? are you in to all that crap?).
@Joniversity NWO - you mean what Bush repeatedly spoke about? You must be the crazy one to deny that exists after that! The CIA was saying Saddam didn't have WMDs so the Zionists cooked up a VERY short lived - JUST long enough to SELL the war - organization called the Office of Special Plans. Look who was involved in that! No question their loyalty was with Israel and not the US.
@ScottfromTexas 3) Israel servers a regional reminder of the benefits of democracy, open free market, Israel's GDP per capita surpasses that of Saudi Arabia even with all their oil. It sends a sort of "If you can’t beat them, join them" message - illuminating the prosperity and success of western values and connection to the US.
4) As a world recognized science leader, Joint Israeli-American technology R&D and science ventures benefit the USA with financial and technical gain.
@Joniversity - Israel's "benefits" come from welfare payments from other nations. Thanks to all the money we waste on welfare to Israel we need to pay this welfare to Egypt, too (look up the "Camp David Accords") so it is even MORE money they cost us.
Israel gets benefits from us - they aren't returned.
@Joniversity - as for "a regime that has a stated goal of making the entire world Muslim?" I don't know if that is true. ASSUMING it is so what? No threat to us in the least - especially if we ended immigration (the conduit through which we were attacked - according to the "official" story) Why is it when we were attacked by immigrants the border wasn't shut immediately? And we still hear mock concerns of "them" coming here and converting us to Muslims or something? It doesn't add up.
@ScottfromTexas A) "No threat to us" From a country that has missile capabilities (they shot a satellite into space) and is driving for an a-bomb - If they manage to get a small enough device and better their delivery systems - don't you think it'll threaten the US? And how about US presence around the world which guards its economic assets? B) "Why is it when we were attacked by immigrants the border wasn't shut immediately?" - because of your dumb liberal politicians.
@Joniversity - Israel has attacked us (Iran hasn't) Israel has a space program....that OUR tax dollars fund while our country is bankrupt and falling apart.
The only country you have to worry about attacking the US would be Israel which has a long history of attacking Americans to try to blame on others - they got caught RED HANDED doing this in the Lavon Affair.
"because of your dumb liberal politicians." I sound like a liberal? LOL! I oppose welfare for foreign countries - do you?
@ScottfromTexas A) When did Israel attack the US? B) 95% of aid to Israel is in the form of military aid which is money that goes straight into the American economy creating jobs and strengthening the US's strategic aims and thus benefiting its citizens. C) Your country spends trillions of dollars on who knows what and your worried about the 2.7 billion that goes to Israel (again 95% of it that goes back into the US)??
@ScottfromTexas A) Lavon Affair was a dumb covert operations. Much like many CIA operations and more that are kept in the dark realms of the shadow government - Just like the USA and most countries in the world. The Liberty incident was your everyday friendly fire incident - it still happens today in the IDF, in the US Army and practically in every battle field. So you gave me TWO very bad examples, hardly a point there.
@Joniversity - so it was a "covert act"? So what? Indeed, "covert acts" are CONTRARY to democracies and accountable government - funny that they aren't roundly condemned, then, huh? The Liberty incident was not friendly fire any more than 9/11 was.
@ScottfromTexas B) The data i gave you is from the US government's own website. Sorry if it doesn't fit to your mind frame. Then again, facts rarely do with your type. C) Regrading the fact that the money is circulated back into the American economy - this is a strategy - a way in which ALL governments push their economies. D) Don't forget that in return the US also gets a lot of aid in R&D and other benefits such as fields trials. I'm telling you man, your indoctrinated to a point of blindness.
@Joniversity - as I illustrated - this benefits us as much as if you gave me your paycheck and I used it to hire you to shine my shoes. The 95% figure is still dubious - what exactly is the source? The money is fungible - they would probably be spending that money with the US regardless so it is hard to tell what "benefit" that would be even if your assertion was correct. By your reasoning, which seems to be Keynsian, the government could cut out Israel altogether and spend it on ourselves
@ScottfromTexas The Lavon Affair was so highly criticized in Israel, it brought to Lavon's own resignation and large portions of Mossad and IDOD staff. Israel is no saint. nor is any other country. But if you compare the benefits the US gains from it's connection to Israel and it's connection and massive aid to countries with anti-American population like Russia, Egypt and Jordan. Israel turns out to be the US' greatest and most beneficial ally.
@ScottfromTexas You don't sound like a liberal. You sound like the other extreme end which ain't that better. But blaming Israel for your own political mishaps is ignorant in the good case and a liable in the worst case. If you have a problem with your own government blaming others won't do you much good. Blaming Jews won't get you anywhere either because despite your beliefs, your claims have repeatedly been proven false. Your ideology and ideas are full of holes and discrepancies.
@artin74 A) How much do you about Shia and the twelvers? According to you answer not enough. B) Like Ahmadinejad said "we are willing to a sacrifice half of Iran for the sake of eliminating Israel" - the known 'we are all shahids' mentality... C) When states decide to endorse a COUNTRY (Israel) as an ally it's one thing. When they endorse a specific NON-DEMOCRATIC REGIME for specific geo-political reasons its another. In no way does it say anything about the regime itself.
@Joniversity as an Iranian i know more than you do about islamic religion B's**ts is the same as in Jewish and Christianity ,,,but like most of the Iranians in Iran we don't give a shit about religion anymore ! Iranians are not religious ppl,,we are not like Arabs or Jews .OK ?
@artin74 A) First of all your Persian not Iranian, don't succumb to those who stole your identity. B) You can be a Mullah for all i care, but you talk as if this regime is just like any other, only on the way it's entire discourse is about shortening the coming of the end of days (and thus annihilation of Jews) - minor detail, right? (ignoring the quote i gave). C) Most Jews are completely secular too what does that have to do with anything? The Iranian theocratic REGIME is the point here.
@Joniversity The Iranian theocratic REGIME is the point here? but i think the N-bomb and finding excuse for bombing iran is the point here ..
the bad regime in iran can not do anything with n-bomb and all the polititions in u.s and in iran they know that .is not so logical to undrestand that the N-bombs are uesless and even they could get it from N korea long time ago !
@artin74 A) What i meant is: It's not whether the Persian people will have nuclear capabilities. It's whether the Iranian REGIME will have them - and as we both know (as you've admitted) the regime and the people have little in common - this is why the REGIME IS THE POINT HERE. B) The last thing we need is to bomb anyone. Both Israel and the US have enough problems. We're looking for excuses why NOT to bomb the nuclear sites. C) Why can't the Iranian "do anything with n-bomb"?
@artin74 Regarding: "they could get it from N korea long time ago" A) It's not that easy to transport an atom bomb without it leaking to western intelligence. B) Doing such a thing would be a total casus belli as well as expose Iran's goals with no way to deny it. This is why their current track is much smarter.
All u liberals are hypocrites, where is the outcry when Russia shelled Grozny using heavy artillery on civilian during the 2nd Chechen war ? Almost 1 million dead. If anything Russia has committed more atrocities during the Chechen war then Israel ever did. Stop listening to Arab propaganda and think objectively.
The Russians are fools, just wait and see. The technology that they give Iran might end up being used against them in Chechnya and other Muslim parts of southern Russia. What goes round comes around.
Russia is giving Iran the gun, knowing full well Israel won't allow them to use it. I think Iran is being led into a conflict that will see another regime change. Israel WILL take out that reactor if the Uranium is on route, I don't think anyone is unclear about that.
Collectively I think all the super powers, the US, Russia and China would like stability in the middle east and with Iran out of the picture, that might actually be possible.
@123backinyerface - Seems to me Israel is the problem in the region, then. They are the ones destabilizing the region. Israel is an unreliable rogue nation that the entire world would like to see eliminated.
Funny, the US should be concerned with creating its own reactors instead of preventing them in Iran. We are wasting so much of our resources on Israel's agenda in the Middle East we will never catch up to China, Russia and India....but that is the PLAN. Wake up.
@ScottfromTexas A) Oh yah right, the region was SOOOO stable before Israel arrived here... right? Go learn some fucking history. Jihad was staged against the US 150 years before Israel was established. B) You think the US needs to catch up with third world countries and oppressive regimes? what are you retarded? I mean really man, you should stop commenting on stuff, you're kind of embarrassing yourself here.
@Joniversity - how many suicide bombings from before the establishment of Israel? That seems to be what you guys always dwell on (though the triggering device of a bomb is pretty irrelevant in my mind - suicide bombing is no more terrorism than dropping bombs on someone from a plane.)
China and Russia and India are advancing their OWN countries and people....while we go broke supporting Israel for no apparent reason. The world is laughing at us.
@ScottfromTexas A) Suicide bombings were first sanctioned by Iranian religious authorities in-order to fight Iraqis. It had nothing to do with Israel. Your poor knowledge of history is astonishing but not surprising. B) Targeting civilians as a modus operandi is more terrorism that causing collateral damage due to mistakes and the fact that Muslim terrorists use human shields and hide within civilian crowds. Their stated goal is to kill infidels. Innocent or not.
@ScottfromTexas China and Russia and India are NOT advancing their own people. You should look into statistics about distribution of wealth, corruption and human rights violations. believe me you wouldn't want to be a citizen in any of those countries. Note: i'm not criticizing their population but their regimes.
the iranians have no problem with europe so dont give us that shit that they want to 'land a dirty bomb in a city in europe' israhell is a terrorist state that has massacred tens of thousands of women and kids over the years, iran is not europes enemy.
@hargohargo "tens of thousands of women and kids" - Really? And your numbers are taken from where? Muhammad the pedophile prophet? And PERSIANS are no ones enemy, but the Iranian theocratic regime with its crazy hidden imam discourse is THE enemy of the entire west! They represent all that the west has fought against - and they know it and wish to destroy it. Heck even the Arab countries are afraid of that regime. And rightly so. The Iranian theology and regime is a threat to the WORLD.
@Joniversity gaza january 2009 1500 mostly women and kids killed by israeli white phosporous bombs, according to the UN, lebbanon 2006 over 1000 cvillians killed by israeli bombs according to EU and UN. 1982 shatilla refugee camp several hundred palastinian civillian refugees massacred by the jewish terrorist state of israhell. the only countrys in the ''entire west'' who have a problem with iran are the jews of israhell and the americans. no one in europe supports israhell.
@hargohargo if assume that all your statistics were al women and children, and assume that highest death claim of shatila and sabra is the truth then their were killed around 6000 women and children, that not even close to 10.000....
@hargohargo A) Most civilians that died on the Pally side are either civilians that did not comply with Israel warnings (leaflets and phone calls), or civilians used by Hamas as human shields (all recorded - you can look it up). B) The civilians killed in Lebanon were mostly inhabitants of the Hezbollah quarters of Beirut (Dahya), hardly your innocent bunch. C) "mostly" is not a statistic and wrong. D) Sabra and Shatilla massacre was committed by christian Lebanese militia. E) You FAIL.
@Joniversity i dont think you are aware that the gaza strip is practically an open air prison and therefore the people have no where to run when they are being bombed with white phosporous, secondly the people who lived in south lebbanon are civillians it dosent matter where they live they have a right to bodily integrity and a right to life. the jews under ariel sharon encouraged the massacre in the 1982 war against shatilla.
@freezen255 well to borrow your logic for a moment, warsaw is not a 2x2 inch room yet somehow the people who went to the camps never left for '''the open areas''' it was reported and filmed that a hospital was bombed as too were ambulances in gaza city during january 2009. most of the buildings and infrastructure attacked in lebanon in 2006 were civillian targets far away from the frontline. do you honestly think sharon dident know about the impending massacres? is the world round?
@ScottfromTexas true if any other nation behaved the way israel does there would be sanctions placed on them long ago. when i was growing up in the 1970s and 1980s i never heard the end of how bad south africa was, yet south africa was not being as hostile and acting with such psychotic disregard as israel, sooner or later they will attack this reactor in iran and cause serious conflict which will affect every person around the globe.
@hargohargo - add to that that Israel was an ALLY to Apartheid South Africa (after all, they had Apartheid in common) and they were negotiating to sell them a nuclear weapons - so how did Israel escape condemnation for that?
Why didn't the US SUPPORT APARTHEID South Africa? After all, they were the "only democracy in the region." This is more true of SA than it is of Israel and the Middle East where there are MANY democracies (meanwhile, our gov't supports a MONARCHY in Saudi Arabia...)
@ScottfromTexas A) Almost every country on earth dealt with S.A. covertly and openly. That is not to say it was right, but it does say something about those who single out Israel in that respect. B) The nuclear bomb thing was proved to be a hoax. C) Do you really think Israel is an apartheid state? You actually bought in to that Muslim propaganda? Do some research will you... You sound like one of those ultra liberals which you despise so much.
@ScottfromTexas The USA supports and supported many regimes with questionable values. To protect ones strategic interest you must from time to time deal with nasty people. This was especially true during the cold war. But criticizing it without looking at the whole picture and comparing it to the good that the USA has brought to the world in terms of prosperity and human rights is being a useful idiot like Chomsky and friends.
if the usa wasnt such a dick to every other country then countrys wouldnt be tryin to build nukes, simple as that be nice and what goes arround comes arround.

Iran have never start any war in past 400 years ..and there is no any single proof of Iran is after N-bomb ! Iran is surrounded by N-BOMB countries Russia-Turkey-Israel-and Pakistan ,and even if Iran gets a bomb ,so what they gona do with it ?? they gona bomb America ?!! this is propaganda ..
artin74 1 year ago
@artin74 A) The question "what they gona do with it ??" Is exactly the problem. When you have responsible and SECULAR regimes then you can at least anticipate their steps. When on the other hand you have a THEOCRACY that believes in the hidden Imam and that it should speed its coming and that calls daily for the destruction of Israel, USA, etc. You just cannot take the chance. B) There's overwhelming evidence they're after a bomb -- you are misinformed.
Joniversity 1 year ago
@Joniversity the regime in Iran is religious and fanatic and we all know that, and they chosen by England and u.s.a , just like Zionist and talliban and Pakistani regime ! but the fact is ,they are not crazy and they know N-bombs are useless today and the use of it means suicide for any country ..think about it ...
artin74 1 year ago
@artin74 Wrong. 3 nuclear bombs will destroy Israel. But 60 bombs and Iran will survive. Israel ought to liberate the iranians from the religious fanatics. They can do it. The IDF is the best
JulianThePhilosopher 1 year ago
@JulianThePhilosopher - actually, this makes a good case to drop the backstabbing cultists in Israel as an ally and support Iran. We could actually GET something with that - with Israel all we get is more debt and more enemies. It doesn't make one bit of sense to support Israel.
ScottfromTexas 1 year ago
@ScottfromTexas Ok you're beliefs about Israel and Jews, distorted, dumb and frighting as they are, are your own and that's OK. But now seriously, would you really recommend the US government to ally with Iran??? I mean come on rub your synapses together - a regime that has a stated goal of making the entire world Muslim? how stupid are you man?
Joniversity 1 year ago
@Joniversity - what is distorted about my views? Israel has ATTACKED us one more than one occastion - Iran hasn't. Even after we funded Saddam who killed a MILLION IRANIANS (funny no "Holocaust" memorial to them in the US - why is that?) Even after we shot down one of their airliners! Good grief - the only thing distorted here is our support of Israel even after they SOLD OUR INTEL to BOTH the Soviets (Pollard's "work") and China (Patriot missile technology). (cont....)
ScottfromTexas 1 year ago
@ScottfromTexas A) Iran didn't attack the US? Really? How 'bout backing Afghan resistance? How 'bout the Islamic Revolutionary Guard's activities in Iraq? How bout the bombing of the Marine barracks in Lebanon? WTF R U talking about? B) Israel helped the soviets against US? man you're incredible. the USSR backed the Arab states in weapons, ammo and money, WTF would Israel gain by helping them? And Pollard was a spy for Israel. And where did you get the Patriot BS?
Joniversity 1 year ago
@Joniversity - again - this seems like an unfounded accusation but ASSUME it is true - isn't attacking the US and if we weren't there in the first place (doing Israel's bidding I might add) it wouldn't be an issue. You MIGHT want to check a MAP. We have overthrown TWO major countries on IRAN'S BORDER. What is it we are supposed to FEAR IRAN over...some words? Seems pretty lame in comparison, don't you think? What if China invaded Canada and Mexico. Think we might fund the resistance there?
ScottfromTexas 1 year ago
@ScottfromTexas The USA became a super power by protecting its interests, investing in geo-strategic treaties, helping sympathetic regimes, guarding the oceans for world trade, allying with countries with similar moral and political values, etc. You try to attack the very same things that made the USA the strongest country on earth, and although you can argue with the moral values some of their international moves they still did more for this world than any other country in presence today.
Joniversity 1 year ago
@Joniversity - what nonsense - our strange and inexplicable relationship doesn't satisfy any of those things. What makes more sense - to ally oneself with the ONE country with no significant oil reserves or with those with the largest oil reserves, eh?
As an aside, guarding the oceans for fair trade doesn't help us out one bit - especially now.
ScottfromTexas 1 year ago
@ScottfromTexas You do have an ally with Oil - Saudi Arabia - yes the country that exports Wahhabi Islam to your country, finance mosques on ground zero, spread jihad type literature, own 3% of your economy and managed to produce the terrorists that perpetrated 9-11... You also have Pakistan and Afghanistan as your allies - both oil rich - both not particularly helpful to the US to say the least. And now lets think what good Israel is to the US: (cont.)
Joniversity 1 year ago
@Joniversity - why ally ourselves with a monarchy - you can't keep up with your own spin. Only because Israel queers our foreign policy. Afghanistan is no ally but soon to be a bigger enemy when they finally make it clear they won't be occupied.
Again, Iran would make the most sense as an ally.
ScottfromTexas 1 year ago
@ScottfromTexas 1) The U.S. leverages (and sustains) Israeli military might - Arab states that cooperate with the US get what they want from Israel. States that do not cooperate do not get. The US can also deploy Israel’s power to help US allies from enemies (King Hussein of Jordan from the PLO in 1970). And O/C accomplish strategic missions that the US would rather not dirty its own hands with.
2) Israel is provides the US with intelligence and servers as a weapons test laboratory.
Joniversity 1 year ago
@Joniversity - by "intelligence" you mean LIES to get us to fight THEIR wars for them. THAT is the common thread.
Lavon Affair - to get Americans to fight Israel's wars for them (Egypt)
USS Liberty - to get Americans to fight Israel's wars for them (Egypt)
"intelligence" - to get Americans to fight Israel's wars for them (Iraq)
I would include....
9/11 - to get Americans to fight Israel's wars for them (Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, anyone Israel wants)
ScottfromTexas 1 year ago
@ScottfromTexas Well it seams that the CIA, NSA, etc. don't feel as you do about Israeli intelligence. But i guess your an expert on the matter and know better. Regarding that 9-11 thing - are you one of those nut cases that think it was an inside job, or mossad trick or whatever. If so don't even bother raising it up - it's not even worthy talking about (NWO, ZOG? are you in to all that crap?).
Joniversity 1 year ago
@Joniversity NWO - you mean what Bush repeatedly spoke about? You must be the crazy one to deny that exists after that! The CIA was saying Saddam didn't have WMDs so the Zionists cooked up a VERY short lived - JUST long enough to SELL the war - organization called the Office of Special Plans. Look who was involved in that! No question their loyalty was with Israel and not the US.
ScottfromTexas 1 year ago
@ScottfromTexas 3) Israel servers a regional reminder of the benefits of democracy, open free market, Israel's GDP per capita surpasses that of Saudi Arabia even with all their oil. It sends a sort of "If you can’t beat them, join them" message - illuminating the prosperity and success of western values and connection to the US.
4) As a world recognized science leader, Joint Israeli-American technology R&D and science ventures benefit the USA with financial and technical gain.
Joniversity 1 year ago
@Joniversity - Israel's "benefits" come from welfare payments from other nations. Thanks to all the money we waste on welfare to Israel we need to pay this welfare to Egypt, too (look up the "Camp David Accords") so it is even MORE money they cost us.
Israel gets benefits from us - they aren't returned.
ScottfromTexas 1 year ago
@Joniversity - as for "a regime that has a stated goal of making the entire world Muslim?" I don't know if that is true. ASSUMING it is so what? No threat to us in the least - especially if we ended immigration (the conduit through which we were attacked - according to the "official" story) Why is it when we were attacked by immigrants the border wasn't shut immediately? And we still hear mock concerns of "them" coming here and converting us to Muslims or something? It doesn't add up.
ScottfromTexas 1 year ago
@ScottfromTexas A) "No threat to us" From a country that has missile capabilities (they shot a satellite into space) and is driving for an a-bomb - If they manage to get a small enough device and better their delivery systems - don't you think it'll threaten the US? And how about US presence around the world which guards its economic assets? B) "Why is it when we were attacked by immigrants the border wasn't shut immediately?" - because of your dumb liberal politicians.
Joniversity 1 year ago
@Joniversity - Israel has attacked us (Iran hasn't) Israel has a space program....that OUR tax dollars fund while our country is bankrupt and falling apart.
The only country you have to worry about attacking the US would be Israel which has a long history of attacking Americans to try to blame on others - they got caught RED HANDED doing this in the Lavon Affair.
"because of your dumb liberal politicians." I sound like a liberal? LOL! I oppose welfare for foreign countries - do you?
ScottfromTexas 1 year ago
@ScottfromTexas A) When did Israel attack the US? B) 95% of aid to Israel is in the form of military aid which is money that goes straight into the American economy creating jobs and strengthening the US's strategic aims and thus benefiting its citizens. C) Your country spends trillions of dollars on who knows what and your worried about the 2.7 billion that goes to Israel (again 95% of it that goes back into the US)??
Joniversity 1 year ago
@Joniversity "A) When did Israel attack the US?"
USS Liberty
Lavon Affair
"B) 95% of aid to Israel is in the form of military aid which is money that goes straight into the American economy "
I get tired of this canard. OK, GIVE ME YOUR PAYCHECK. I will hire you to shine my shoes. And your 95% figure is dubious at BEST.
"C) Your country spends trillions of dollars on who knows "
Another silly canard - Fine, then give ME THE MONEY instead. I PROMISE I can do more good with it.
ScottfromTexas 1 year ago
@ScottfromTexas A) Lavon Affair was a dumb covert operations. Much like many CIA operations and more that are kept in the dark realms of the shadow government - Just like the USA and most countries in the world. The Liberty incident was your everyday friendly fire incident - it still happens today in the IDF, in the US Army and practically in every battle field. So you gave me TWO very bad examples, hardly a point there.
Joniversity 1 year ago
@Joniversity - so it was a "covert act"? So what? Indeed, "covert acts" are CONTRARY to democracies and accountable government - funny that they aren't roundly condemned, then, huh? The Liberty incident was not friendly fire any more than 9/11 was.
ScottfromTexas 1 year ago
@ScottfromTexas B) The data i gave you is from the US government's own website. Sorry if it doesn't fit to your mind frame. Then again, facts rarely do with your type. C) Regrading the fact that the money is circulated back into the American economy - this is a strategy - a way in which ALL governments push their economies. D) Don't forget that in return the US also gets a lot of aid in R&D and other benefits such as fields trials. I'm telling you man, your indoctrinated to a point of blindness.
Joniversity 1 year ago
@Joniversity - as I illustrated - this benefits us as much as if you gave me your paycheck and I used it to hire you to shine my shoes. The 95% figure is still dubious - what exactly is the source? The money is fungible - they would probably be spending that money with the US regardless so it is hard to tell what "benefit" that would be even if your assertion was correct. By your reasoning, which seems to be Keynsian, the government could cut out Israel altogether and spend it on ourselves
ScottfromTexas 1 year ago
@ScottfromTexas Source: census . gov / compendia / statab / 2010 / tables/ 10s1263.xls
Now lets drop the whole subject - i don't see much point in arguing anymore. You know the truth and you won't be confused with facts. Enjoy you life.
Joniversity 1 year ago
@ScottfromTexas The Lavon Affair was so highly criticized in Israel, it brought to Lavon's own resignation and large portions of Mossad and IDOD staff. Israel is no saint. nor is any other country. But if you compare the benefits the US gains from it's connection to Israel and it's connection and massive aid to countries with anti-American population like Russia, Egypt and Jordan. Israel turns out to be the US' greatest and most beneficial ally.
Joniversity 1 year ago
@ScottfromTexas You don't sound like a liberal. You sound like the other extreme end which ain't that better. But blaming Israel for your own political mishaps is ignorant in the good case and a liable in the worst case. If you have a problem with your own government blaming others won't do you much good. Blaming Jews won't get you anywhere either because despite your beliefs, your claims have repeatedly been proven false. Your ideology and ideas are full of holes and discrepancies.
Joniversity 1 year ago
@artin74 A) How much do you about Shia and the twelvers? According to you answer not enough. B) Like Ahmadinejad said "we are willing to a sacrifice half of Iran for the sake of eliminating Israel" - the known 'we are all shahids' mentality... C) When states decide to endorse a COUNTRY (Israel) as an ally it's one thing. When they endorse a specific NON-DEMOCRATIC REGIME for specific geo-political reasons its another. In no way does it say anything about the regime itself.
Joniversity 1 year ago
@Joniversity as an Iranian i know more than you do about islamic religion B's**ts is the same as in Jewish and Christianity ,,,but like most of the Iranians in Iran we don't give a shit about religion anymore ! Iranians are not religious ppl,,we are not like Arabs or Jews .OK ?
artin74 1 year ago
@artin74 A) First of all your Persian not Iranian, don't succumb to those who stole your identity. B) You can be a Mullah for all i care, but you talk as if this regime is just like any other, only on the way it's entire discourse is about shortening the coming of the end of days (and thus annihilation of Jews) - minor detail, right? (ignoring the quote i gave). C) Most Jews are completely secular too what does that have to do with anything? The Iranian theocratic REGIME is the point here.
Joniversity 1 year ago
@Joniversity The Iranian theocratic REGIME is the point here? but i think the N-bomb and finding excuse for bombing iran is the point here ..
the bad regime in iran can not do anything with n-bomb and all the polititions in u.s and in iran they know that .is not so logical to undrestand that the N-bombs are uesless and even they could get it from N korea long time ago !
artin74 1 year ago
@artin74 A) What i meant is: It's not whether the Persian people will have nuclear capabilities. It's whether the Iranian REGIME will have them - and as we both know (as you've admitted) the regime and the people have little in common - this is why the REGIME IS THE POINT HERE. B) The last thing we need is to bomb anyone. Both Israel and the US have enough problems. We're looking for excuses why NOT to bomb the nuclear sites. C) Why can't the Iranian "do anything with n-bomb"?
Joniversity 1 year ago
@artin74 Regarding: "they could get it from N korea long time ago" A) It's not that easy to transport an atom bomb without it leaking to western intelligence. B) Doing such a thing would be a total casus belli as well as expose Iran's goals with no way to deny it. This is why their current track is much smarter.
Joniversity 1 year ago
All u liberals are hypocrites, where is the outcry when Russia shelled Grozny using heavy artillery on civilian during the 2nd Chechen war ? Almost 1 million dead. If anything Russia has committed more atrocities during the Chechen war then Israel ever did. Stop listening to Arab propaganda and think objectively.
JulianThePhilosopher 1 year ago
The Russians are fools, just wait and see. The technology that they give Iran might end up being used against them in Chechnya and other Muslim parts of southern Russia. What goes round comes around.
JulianThePhilosopher 1 year ago
1) Israel is a rogue nation
2) Israel is not obligated to comply with U.N. resolutions.
3) The U.S. is nothing more than a shoe shiner for Israelis.
4) The Israelis way of "reasoning" is by way of deception, manipulation, intimidation.
5) Systematically annex as much land as possible, inch by inch soon turns to mile by mile.
6) The whole world stands by as Israel dances between the rain drops and does anything it wants.

"This is a game of Chess, not Checkers".

@123backinyerface Interesting take on the matter... nice.
Joniversity 1 year ago
@123backinyerface - Seems to me Israel is the problem in the region, then. They are the ones destabilizing the region. Israel is an unreliable rogue nation that the entire world would like to see eliminated.
Funny, the US should be concerned with creating its own reactors instead of preventing them in Iran. We are wasting so much of our resources on Israel's agenda in the Middle East we will never catch up to China, Russia and India....but that is the PLAN. Wake up.
ScottfromTexas 1 year ago
@ScottfromTexas A) Oh yah right, the region was SOOOO stable before Israel arrived here... right? Go learn some fucking history. Jihad was staged against the US 150 years before Israel was established. B) You think the US needs to catch up with third world countries and oppressive regimes? what are you retarded? I mean really man, you should stop commenting on stuff, you're kind of embarrassing yourself here.
Joniversity 1 year ago
@Joniversity - how many suicide bombings from before the establishment of Israel? That seems to be what you guys always dwell on (though the triggering device of a bomb is pretty irrelevant in my mind - suicide bombing is no more terrorism than dropping bombs on someone from a plane.)
China and Russia and India are advancing their OWN countries and people....while we go broke supporting Israel for no apparent reason. The world is laughing at us.
ScottfromTexas 1 year ago
@ScottfromTexas A) Suicide bombings were first sanctioned by Iranian religious authorities in-order to fight Iraqis. It had nothing to do with Israel. Your poor knowledge of history is astonishing but not surprising. B) Targeting civilians as a modus operandi is more terrorism that causing collateral damage due to mistakes and the fact that Muslim terrorists use human shields and hide within civilian crowds. Their stated goal is to kill infidels. Innocent or not.
Joniversity 1 year ago
@Joniversity - all we target are civilians! There are no military targets.
"Innocent"? No trials for the civilians we kill for Israel.
ScottfromTexas 1 year ago
@ScottfromTexas China and Russia and India are NOT advancing their own people. You should look into statistics about distribution of wealth, corruption and human rights violations. believe me you wouldn't want to be a citizen in any of those countries. Note: i'm not criticizing their population but their regimes.

the iranians have no problem with europe so dont give us that shit that they want to 'land a dirty bomb in a city in europe' israhell is a terrorist state that has massacred tens of thousands of women and kids over the years, iran is not europes enemy.
hargohargo 1 year ago
@hargohargo "tens of thousands of women and kids" - Really? And your numbers are taken from where? Muhammad the pedophile prophet? And PERSIANS are no ones enemy, but the Iranian theocratic regime with its crazy hidden imam discourse is THE enemy of the entire west! They represent all that the west has fought against - and they know it and wish to destroy it. Heck even the Arab countries are afraid of that regime. And rightly so. The Iranian theology and regime is a threat to the WORLD.
Joniversity 1 year ago
@Joniversity gaza january 2009 1500 mostly women and kids killed by israeli white phosporous bombs, according to the UN, lebbanon 2006 over 1000 cvillians killed by israeli bombs according to EU and UN. 1982 shatilla refugee camp several hundred palastinian civillian refugees massacred by the jewish terrorist state of israhell. the only countrys in the ''entire west'' who have a problem with iran are the jews of israhell and the americans. no one in europe supports israhell.
hargohargo 1 year ago
@hargohargo if assume that all your statistics were al women and children, and assume that highest death claim of shatila and sabra is the truth then their were killed around 6000 women and children, that not even close to 10.000....
JPlet397 1 year ago
@JPlet397 i neglected to mention the thousands of palastinians killed by the jewish in the west bank and gaza since 1948.
hargohargo 1 year ago
@hargohargo A) Most civilians that died on the Pally side are either civilians that did not comply with Israel warnings (leaflets and phone calls), or civilians used by Hamas as human shields (all recorded - you can look it up). B) The civilians killed in Lebanon were mostly inhabitants of the Hezbollah quarters of Beirut (Dahya), hardly your innocent bunch. C) "mostly" is not a statistic and wrong. D) Sabra and Shatilla massacre was committed by christian Lebanese militia. E) You FAIL.
Joniversity 1 year ago
@Joniversity i dont think you are aware that the gaza strip is practically an open air prison and therefore the people have no where to run when they are being bombed with white phosporous, secondly the people who lived in south lebbanon are civillians it dosent matter where they live they have a right to bodily integrity and a right to life. the jews under ariel sharon encouraged the massacre in the 1982 war against shatilla.
hargohargo 1 year ago
@hargohargo
Gaza is not a 2X2 inch room. there are enough open areas in Gaza. Israel didn't bomb entire neighborhoods at once.
Ariel Sharon didn't encourage the massacre. There was a failure in informing the high ranks in what is going on in the camp.
freezen255 1 year ago
@freezen255 well to borrow your logic for a moment, warsaw is not a 2x2 inch room yet somehow the people who went to the camps never left for '''the open areas''' it was reported and filmed that a hospital was bombed as too were ambulances in gaza city during january 2009. most of the buildings and infrastructure attacked in lebanon in 2006 were civillian targets far away from the frontline. do you honestly think sharon dident know about the impending massacres? is the world round?
hargohargo 1 year ago
@hargohargo - Gaza is also a true democracy being attacked by a quasi-democracy Apartheid state.
ScottfromTexas 1 year ago
@ScottfromTexas true if any other nation behaved the way israel does there would be sanctions placed on them long ago. when i was growing up in the 1970s and 1980s i never heard the end of how bad south africa was, yet south africa was not being as hostile and acting with such psychotic disregard as israel, sooner or later they will attack this reactor in iran and cause serious conflict which will affect every person around the globe.
hargohargo 1 year ago
@hargohargo - add to that that Israel was an ALLY to Apartheid South Africa (after all, they had Apartheid in common) and they were negotiating to sell them a nuclear weapons - so how did Israel escape condemnation for that?
Why didn't the US SUPPORT APARTHEID South Africa? After all, they were the "only democracy in the region." This is more true of SA than it is of Israel and the Middle East where there are MANY democracies (meanwhile, our gov't supports a MONARCHY in Saudi Arabia...)
ScottfromTexas 1 year ago
@ScottfromTexas A) Almost every country on earth dealt with S.A. covertly and openly. That is not to say it was right, but it does say something about those who single out Israel in that respect. B) The nuclear bomb thing was proved to be a hoax. C) Do you really think Israel is an apartheid state? You actually bought in to that Muslim propaganda? Do some research will you... You sound like one of those ultra liberals which you despise so much.

@ScottfromTexas The USA supports and supported many regimes with questionable values. To protect ones strategic interest you must from time to time deal with nasty people.
