  • Good knock down. Thanks for sharing.

  • you beat the cops to the scene... thats pretty good!

  • @sabresfan1998 There were already two cops there a third one pulled up, not sure the reason for having 3 cops though? Maybe just bored though the radio says otherwise

  • that is one raging fire

  • We have a couple lines on the front of our rescue truck that we use for vehicle fires. Remember uphill and upwind from the smoke and fire!

  • Good to see people pull over, in colorado springs they dont give a crap. I cant wait till the day when then US does what belgium does and puts a camera on the front bumper and if you dont get out of the way if the engine or truck is going a certain speed, you get a ticket.

  • same hear in Nebraska, im a volunteer firefighter and all the cars seem like they want to race us, or follow us through lights, how irritating is that? any firefighter have that problem or see something like that?

  • I love the idiots who try to call incidents in with completely wrong information.....what structure is this near?! lol.

  • @theone2225 lol i totally agree lol

  • it looks crazy if even the cars on the opposite lane clear the road.

Is the engine that big it need 3 lanes to drive on? :D

    nive vid though

  • @Crazyfogfighter Up here in Canada its the law to pull over no matter what side you're on for any emergency vehicle, the logic is so that if the people in the lane the firefighters are in are not able to pull over, it gives them an alternative on the oncoming lane, Help them help us, pull over! :P

  • Huh, and the firemen didn't brutalize any people or shoot any dogs or make any unconditional and irrational arrest. They just did their job and went on their way. Curious. Very curious.

  • almost clips a car at 0:32

  • 3 police cars :D

  • the douchebag on the nozzle is gonna get somebody hurt...

  • Traffic clearing for a siren!Whoa

  • @0524cami wisconsin state law :) slow down and move over:)

  • only one line pulled no one went to the gas tank with 2nd line??? seems like it took to long to get line pulled dilly dallying around

  • GO Wisconsin

  • Wow! Thanks.

  • Holy cow people in your town actually move to the side... not here in indiana thery are all pricks when i respond in my truck i have a full size led light bar and led dash mounts but no they still dont move... even in the rescue with ghostbusters we end up passing them on double yellow

  • Ok i'm not a ff but if Thera a fire there's danger

  • We use a 1.75" minimum on everything but small trash and grass fires.

  • Awesome to hear the Q on the radio

  • boring ass siren

  • my dept. had a car fire in a diff district we had to cover because the districts dept didnt answer the call and we were on scene from our station and the fire out in 7 mins. and plz if someone could tell me What is a emergency vehicle preemption system?

  • @PauletteVFD671 its sets the traffic signals to 3 red 1 green to enable a clear run for any emergency vehicle

  • now this is one of the best videos ive seen of fire responses mainly because of how u can watch the firefighters charging the line and working to put it out. its awesome.

  • Beautiful Response :)

  • The fire truck cam didn't respond to the car fire, the fire truck did.

    Change your title ;-)

  • @kenny1309 LOL

  • Right by Fox Prairie

  • I live in Stoughton TOO!

  • nice work guys,

and about the two idiots... it matters if the car runs on petrol or on diesel, I believe petrol vaporises (and only as a gas it can explode) at 30C then the car can explode, diesel needs a much higher temperature so you can stand next to it.

firefighters wouldn't go that close to a burning car if there is a risk of explosion

  • @joppiesaus33 Diesel has a lower ignition temperature...hence why diesel engines have glow plugs and petrol engines need spark plugs. Petrol is more explosive however. :)

  • Two idiots that close to the car? They're lucky the fire didn't reach the gas line...

  • And I don't mean the fire fighters...

  • @TyVulpine Gas lines don't blow up the car, in fact gas tanks rarely explode. Usually pressure and heat will blow the fuel cap and the pressure is relieved out the fill neck. A lot of fire and looks impressive, but no explosion.

  • @ffjsb biggest risk are gas filled cylinders for hatchbacks, bumpers and trunks and hoods. they can pop off with a lot of force, so always attack from a 45 degree angle. That is from the auto manual hurst produces with their tools. It has every name of car, make and model for the last 10 years, where airbags are where cylinders are.. places not to cut.. etc.

  • @Kopihucky You are correct, and I would add the air bag actuators as well. Our dept. had a van in a garage on fire, and the actuator blew out through the dash and garage roof and just glanced a FF's shoulder on the way down. BTW, we use Genisis tools mostly, along with some Amkus for backup and extras.

  • @ffjsb your right cars don't explode.... they even proved that in mythbuster

  • nice work with the line. got the fire out quick

  • HEY I LIVE IN WISCONSIN HELL YEA.... MY GRANDPA LIVES IN Stoughton !

  • Do you guys use an emergency vehicle preemption system for the traffic signals?

  • Those were installed just after these videos were recorded. Glad to see them helping all.

  • @DiggerDanAZ very few fire departments use them so more than likely no

  • If this is being uesd for training then I'd like to point out that the guys with the hose cross right in front of the rear bumber. I guess they forgot the crush cylinders can explode under the extreme heat from a car fire and they have been known to not only cause serious injurys but can also kill. Just thought I would point that out. Well Done and stay safe Brothers

  • @BHUB19 There's no fire in that area, so no danger on this fire.

  • @ffjsb There doesn't need to be fire in that area of the car, the heat generated by the fire is enough to cause the crush pads to pop. I have witnessed that first hand which is why I made the comment

  • do you guys have electronic sirens along with your q siren?

  • yeah we do whelen 295sl100

  • oh sweet!

    you're on this dept, also?

Do you have it custom programed?

    oh btw, Love the Grovers

  • @RailsandRoads Hey thanks i love the grovers too i am a captain for them and no its just res siren

  • @homelovefire ok

    that's cool

  • nice

5 stars fav and added to playlist

  • nice job by all on scene.. full ppe and scba...and those not putting the car out have vests on..nice job by your department

  • they are too slow

  • I love how the cars stop for the rig

  • Damn good thing they do too, ever see a train try to do an emergency stop?

  • thats when my dog was born

  • thats an electronic Q right?

  • No, that's a real Q.

  • wow your cool

  • @EngulfedSix

    Hey get this:

    YOU'RE a step down, junior!

  • Yeah that was real close to a house all right!

  • I wonder how many of these car fires are caused by high amperage boom blasters hooked up to 20 feet of 16 guage wire... lol

  • LOL, WAY too many! I guess understanding DC electronics is hook red to hot and black to ground, 5000000 watt amps, fuck it, Im broke after buying the system, better get this cheap wire.

  • @Unit430 16 guage wire is pretty small. 12 guage is recommended for houses.

  • why did the first guy to out out the fire walk through the smoke when the other side was clear? jw

  • The BA factor?

  • i cant wait to join juniors

  • Good video fro SFD, 1.5 is plenty for a car fire. That was our SOG as well. You guys don't have a front bumper mounted 1.5 or trashline?

  • Hope someone from SFD can answer this, I shoot the video but not up on equipment on the trucks.

  • @juanka911 we only have a trashline on the front of our ladder and i believe the only reason for that is because it was a show truck for pierce so it has a few extra bells and whistles

  • Its nice tht cars are pullin over ....In MD they just keep driven like they dont see the lights its irratating

  • @CAPcadet446641 Same here in NM. I used to live in OK, and there drivers pull over for emergency vehicles. Here in NM very few do.

  • Man who ever was on the Q siren they were'nt even tapping it ..... Dover and Camden DE they lay on it and never let go they make sure everyone knows that their there!

  • yes, that does look like a 1.5, my dept. SOG is 1.5 or larger for cars and the water cannon for dumsters if possible

  • cant wait till i start training after next school year.

  • Cap. says F this its my turn to play with the hose.

  • I would not get that close to a burning car, if the gas tank catches fire the whole car could explode. I think it woulld have been safer to keep a little further away from the burning cars.

  • were firefighters thats a risk we have to take.

  • no need to risk it all when there is noone to be saving.

  • This is why they are some that are firefighters like me and people like you. We love being there and that rush but mainly it is just to help people. Yeah the chances are pretty good the gas tank will go, but before that we are more worried about the tires and the shocks blowing up at us or the mercury

  • Well, What I mean is if I did not have any eye protection or protective clothing. I am planning / hoping to be a firefighter later in life. That's my dream career. Otherwise I wouldn't be watching these videos. :)

  • Exploding cars are a hollywood thing, stick to airplanes.......

  • I've uploaded one of my videos 1 day before this was recorded!

  • thats not a booster line its 1.5

  • wow ! wath a great video!

  • A booster line are you fucking serious all of the traning videos I have seen says 1.5inch or larger.

  • the fire went out didnt it? a red line is fine here!!!!!

  • Maybe if an exposure is near, but cars and dumpsters get the red line.

  • mfdbenji I think you need to quit while your ahead. There are us volunteers that live in the sticks and tones are scratchy and you cant talk to anybody else till your a few miles from the house. There is also the dispatcher too where I live ours suck we only have a couple good ones but the rest suck.

  • lol that is so true!!! (im a volunteer)

  • Yeah, because that's not the dispatchers job or anything, right? On the initial dispatch the firefighter might be on their way running to the engine or to their car to get to the firehouse.

  • I agree, captive--I can't tell you how many times I've thought I heard one address [when either waking up or running out the door] only to realize that we're going to a completely different house!!

Better safe than sorry, right :-)

  • I AM a dispatcher, and I know first hand how many times I have had to repeat an address...but you'll never hear me complain about it, because that's what they pay me to do! And I'm a fire-fighter too, so you know I've asked for an address more than once myself! I guess it's all dependent on your prospective! Be safe!

  • I guess everyone has there own opinions... but sit in the dispatchers shoes... you have no idea what else may be going on in the Center- And them saying the address 3 times is time consuming

  • Nice video guys and nice knock

  • WOw! a rare sight, five crew members....obvious not a major metro dept, lol

  • yea my dept has only 3 guys on each engine and rescue and there are supposed to be 4 only units that are fully staffed are the truck companies

  • nice response and quick knockdown! 10/10

  • I agree with both your comments. Well done! But 47 seconds to stretch the attack line??

There must have been some un-seen reason it took so long.

  • Is stoughton volly?

  • Yes, with three fulltime firefighters. Can't do it without them.

  • Hey i was wondering do you guys have a GPs to show you guys how to get to the destanation.

  • To the best of my knowledge, I believe they have those in the ambulances but not the fire trucks. I am not a firefighter here, but offering my camera system to them as to show what can be accomplished with a video recording of incidents.

  • I feel all Trucks should have them, not just in the front I mean all around the truck so you can see how the guys are doing and to make videos like this, awesome Bro, I loved it, make some more.

  • My dad drives the firetruck and controls the water psi and stuff. so now i know what it's like to drive one
