  • Anyone know why Rall was expelled from Columbia University in 1984? His bio states He was expelled in 1984, between his junior and senior years, for academic and disciplinary reasons. Anyone know what those academic and disciplinary reasons were?

  • Ted Ralph reminds me of far righties.

  • Does anyone really believe Rall is going to engage in violent overthrow of the government? Can anyone see this man leading or even participating in a storming of the White House? Has he ever even hit someone, fired a gun, or have any kind of combat training? Give me a break. He's trying to make money, in true capitalist fashion, by selling his radical books. I think he believes what he is saying, but he knows that no one is going to act on his recycled Marxist nonsense.

  • @blueeyedog

To be fair, he has pounded quite a bit of pussy...

  • @blueeyedog You wrote this comment back in 2010, a year before the "occupy" movement emerged.

  • @dallaskenn and that says what?

  • @blueeyedog What Rall says has merit.

  • @dallaskenn Yeah, but I don't see any armed revolution coming out of the occupy movement folks. These people get pepper sprayed and they cry about it. Not that getting pepper sprayed is fun by any means, but I think you get the point. Not exactly ready to become a para-military group conducting an armed insurrection....

  • @blueeyedog Yes, but what he's predicting, though we won't live to see it, will likely happen. As messy and/or bloody it will be, perhaps the only comfort concerned is the likelihood of those of us over 45 actually not living to see it happen. It may take 150 years, but win or lose, it will happen one day.

  • Ted Rall is nothing but a leftwing version of Glenn Beck.

  • @Ameer18 I agree that all forms of extremism are ultimately detrimental to progress; but the only form of extremism overt in Rall is his insistence upon violent, rather than intellectual revolution. You cannot align his position with that of the TEA party, that is simply a sin against the recognition of the philosophical content separating the two sides. Moreover, linking him to Beck makes absolutely no sense, a crude and primitive simplification on your part. They are simply world's apart.

  • @zooland12 sorry but my mind is made up on this. Ive read both individuals books and they both have the same crazy over the top conspiracy hocus pocus as well as the US government is secretly agains't us lets revolt rhetoric. And as a black man and fan of Obama i can't help but note both of their hidden racist rhetoric in some of there comments towards him, which they try to playcate as being purely political. I wasn't a fan of ralls house nigga comments regarding condoleeza rice either.

  • @Ameer18 "I wasn't a fan of ralls house nigga comments regarding condoleeza rice either."

No kidding, you are biased. But if you leave your bias at the door and view Obama for what he is and has done, instead of what he looks like... you'll come to the conclusion that Obama gives as much a fuck about black, white, yellow people as Bush did.

Leave your racial bias at the door, join the human race.

  • @ParapaDrifter so sorry for exercising my constitutional rights to speak my own opinion rather then your own. I'm curious if you have met every person on this planet? If not then who are you to talle me to join the human race when clearly not every person will agree with you.

  • @Ameer18 thats like saying people who swindle, steal, and lie are real humans... everyone else being taken advantage of deserve to be slaves. Sorry if I don't agree that some humans should be slaves.

  • @ParapaDrifter See this is why i don't take people like you or your hero ted seriously. You have your own biased opinion on how things should be run which makes your lot no different then those right wing tea baggers and left wing anrchists.

  • The comments below me illustrate the education of the common American: too desensitized to descry a sane man (Ted Rall) when they see one.

  • @zooland12 ted rall clearly has his own self interests involved in everything he rights. So how is he any different then his tea bagging rightwing counterparts who also attack this countries government and call for revolution? This just goes to show how hypcoritical and two faced leftist people like rall is.

  • @zooland12 sorry ment to say writes. English is not my first language.

  • Ted Rall must have gotten his ass kicked every day in school. Look at him: He's weak chinned, pudgy, myopic, nervous, sweaty, and sociopathic. Definately a guy who has cracked.

  • Was he born this stupid, or did it take years of work to get this blooming ignorant?

  • I wish this guy stood still while speaking,I am getting dizzy.

  • ...According to Mr Rall "we" need to directly hire millions of Americans, who the "we" is and what job they will be hired for is not elaborated on; then out of left field he calls for high speed rail to be built all over the country, a project that would cost trillions of dollars, this is after he has been, albeit incoherently, lamenting the fact that no one has any money.

  • Mr. Rall clearly wants things to be better, don't we all. But the clip above demonstrates that he doesn't have a grasp on anything he's talking about. His views seem rambling and disjointed. From small errors like saying Obama took office in November '08, ad hominim attacks on Tim Geithner, to recasting Obama as the conservative in the '08 Primaries, when the conservative was clearly Clinton. Finally he ends this portion of his pitch with a confounding notion of what needs to be done...

  • High-speed rail as the cure-all panacea. Who exactly is going to use high-speed rail? Who is demanding high-speed rail? No one, that's who.

  • @adlibn55 Uh, the entire fucking northeast corridor...

  • You are right Ted. They just don't get it in Washinton. The rober barrons are in power again and we have the republicans to thank. They removed most of their roadblocks. I don't believe socialist economies work but hybrids do. It is time "We the People" step in when doing the right thing has been abandoned for thjr sake of the rich. There are only few of them but they comand powerful resources. I think work stopages is our way to success.
