  • sweet video man, sounds great!

  • dude tom doesnt play the solo like that...

  • Not clean enough for my taste.

Before you call me a douche, dude you had all the time in the world to practice, delete the video post a reply and shut me up, why do something wrong? go for perfecttion.

  • How do you like your PRS ?

  • @craigmcarthur1 good job not getting pulled under to the stupidity of gibson. i love the les paul body, but a gibson is a hugely overated piece of shit and epiphones are way better. not to mention PRS damn thats just amazing good job on the solo and guitar choice peacee

  • Nice dude. Love it!

  • nice prs man! really thick soundin beast you go there :).... the whammy helps too ^^ might wanna use some compression thoug to even out the cracks in the solos :)

  • You look like sylar from Heroes.

    Nice playin'

  • it sounds great!

PS. I used to have that poster and I loved it.. but my girlfriend 'borrowed' it, then turned irreparably lesbian shortly after.. it was either me or the poster... or the basketball shorts..

  • i think i've watched this vid like 40 times now haha, do you have a slight reverb on that, and is that through a pedal or slight on the amp, cos mine dont sound anythin like this when i play with my digitech

  • give me one les paul?

  • dude do this song fully like this it will be great i will even make u the drums and bass track and u can put the guitar over it

  • yes bro sick i love it

  • I heard you can use this pedal to enhance the Floyd Squeals, is that real?

  • why dont you sell some of those effects stuff to buy a gibson les paul? you've got so many epiphones haha

  • If yoy werent so busy being an online douche you would have noticed that I am playing a PRS Singlecut which in my opinion is better than any Gibson Les Paul I have yet to play. I also dismiss any notion than Epiphones should be mocked, if picked carefully and with some upgrades and modifications they are very decent guitars. I use them as backup and alternative tuning guitars and I am more than happy with them

  • @craigmcarthur1 alright dude i wasnt trying to be an online douche lol just a legit question so thanks for the answer haha

  • @craigmcarthur1 waw dude you took that to heart! You aren't even that good.

  • @craigmcarthur1 Pretty sure the guy didn't mean anything by it bro. No need to get defensive.

  • @craigmcarthur1 yea, well ya look like a twat. just saying. oh yea, go listen to better music.

  • @craigmcarthur1 Learn to take a joke. I play an epiphone too. Sheesh, indeed.

  • @craigmcarthur1 Dammn you have pretty decent guitars.

  • @craigmcarthur1 I personally love Gibson the most, but I totally respect and agree with you dude! Keep it up you're awesome :D

  • @craigmcarthur1 He was making a joke,dude... Chillax.

  • @craigmcarthur1 prs rocks man. WAY better than a gibson in my opinion. nice playing btw

  • This is the original whammy wh-1

    Or is the reedition (wh-4)?

  • WH4

  • well its somethin like pinch harmonics just more cleaner and it lasts more....and u can do it whenever uyou want at every damn string you want

  • Yup Tom Morello plays it that way. If your fret up an octave on the guitar and use the one octave setting it sounds more or less the same

  • To those guys dissing Epiphone: Believe me, I would take a Gibson any day, but the fact is, coming from South Africa, it's almost impossible to get new Gibsons, or Epi's here. The Epi I got three years ago was the only one I could afford, and that was about $400. I know there's a vast difference, but when you are financially challenged, a Epiphone will do.

  • Dude that's awsome! Love your gear.

  • nice guitars dude

  • Are you using a Whammy 4? It sounds quite like one.

  • nice pink floyd poster

  • Why buy 3 ok Epiphones, when you could have bought one really good Gibson instead?

  • Watch other videos. I have a PRS singlecut

  • @craigmcarthur1

    Thats kewl. :)

I would still sell those Epi's and buy one really good guitar though. ;)

(But i know that you sometimes just get a "connection" with a guitar, no matter how good it is.).

  • @notuern well said!

  • @notuern because he was smart enough to realize the value of a dollar!!! Not enough difference between Epiphone and Gibson today to justify the extra bucks my man! Unless you just HAVE to drink the kool-aid and be one of those gear snob types that would rather impress with the name on the headstock versus talent, I don't see why it's needed.

  • @BlackDiogenes1020

You clearly havent played a real Gibson.

Im definitely NOT one of those "gear snobs", but Epiphone is complete shit(Im a guitar tech, and i hate those pieces of shit.).

Epi's have problems with incorrectly placed bridges, incorrectly cut nuts, frets with the wrong reliefs, bad material which may cause the necks to twist and they only have a 1 stage quality control as opposed to Gibson which has one check for every part of the line + factory setup and retailer setup.

  • @notuern Once again, many of the NEWER Epiphone instruments do not suffer from that issue. They have narrowed the gap between the two in regards to quality and consistency. I have placed several Epiphone's in the hands of unsuspecting experienced pro's (yes...pro's) that were not paying attention to the headstock and many were surprised at the similarities in quality. Several now leave the Gibson @ home when they travel and take an Epiphone instead!!! (not including those w/Gibson endorsements)

  • @BlackDiogenes1020

    Yes, they do.

The series that cost above 600$ might be equal to the cheaper Gibsons(Thats about 700$), but there isnt even any comparison to the traditional or standard series.

Epi's DO have some MAJOR flaws, thats the reason why they are cheap.

Im not a Gibson fan boy, in fact, i can recomend Tokai!

A 1000$ Tokai is about equal to a 2000$ Gibson, but as i said.. Epi's are shitty guitars(They can be made to sound good though, but the quality issues remains.).

  • BTW, I am a builder, and former tech for one of the larger/ well known Bass manufacturers. I am quite familiar w/ the differences between the offshore and US produced instruments.

  • @notuern Also - if he gigs, it sucks less breaking an Epiphone than a Gibson or PRS.

  • @th3m1ke

Worst argument i have ever heard.

With the same logic no one would use tubes, because they break more often then transistors.

  • i love the prs i much rather prefer them over les paul any day they are a very good guitars with excelent tone

  • fuck les pauls

  • @nanyfede8805 why would you say such a thing

  • sounded alright

  • looks like a jonas brother

  • i like it ^^

  • what are the settings on the delay bro

  • Just a basic quarter note delay, I used the tap tempo to set the bpm to sync the speed with the bpm of the song

  • It's about time to get someone who knows how to use this thing. Very cool interpretation and smart use of the Whammy! Good job man.

  • yeah i love that effect pedal!! thanks for sharing!

  • What's the blue burst Lp in the back!?

  • omg!!! thats fricking awesome!!!

  • Got enough Les Pauls?

  • Never

  • @craigmcarthur1 You can never have too many les pauls because les pauls are legendary.

  • @haropro2 They're PRSs!

  • @Griptease2 actually just the one hes playing

  • @haropro2 no some are actualt paul reed smith (well thats what the headstock looks like)

  • wrong 2 octaves

  • I know Tom Morello plays this on his low with the whammy set to two octaves. I wasnt trying to play it exactly as he did. I was basically demonstrating the pedal on the one octave up setting. The end note is exactly the same as I paying the notes one octave higher than tom and using the pedal to bump it up another octve, hence same end point

  • yea i totally agree notes repeat lol just sayin because alot of people just go by sound like it sounded great...i just like goin the step further is all :) kudos tho

  • I like the video, nice sound. Are you using a midi cabe for this pedal? if you answer is yes, what Can I do if my guitar does not have a midi conection? thanks

  • Nop I dont use midi to control the pedal. Just a standard guitar cable

  • AWASOME BRO

  • GRAND THEFT GUITARS (!?)

  • hahha

  • LoL

  • Agreed...............how the frak does he have so many Pauls?

  • your guitar is a Paul Reed Smith???

wooo!! I love your guitar haha

    great cover man!

  • 6 stars XD

  • ther are many tabs( lots of wrong ones), many different ways to play it. everyone plays it on diffferent frets. Only one who can truely play it is Tom Him self

  • Someone help me out here. I have limited funds and i was wondering which is a better pedal to get. A wah pedal or a digitech whammy? From what I have seen the digitech whammy looks like its quite versatile and probably more fun than a wah pedal. Someone help me out here?

  • two totally different pedals man... the Wah can be a very versatile pedal too depending on what kind you get and how you use it.... The Whammy has alot of settings, but IMO a Wah can be used for more stuff (once again, depending on how you use it)

  • gr8

  • or a tab plz

  • Its very easy to learn by ear, simple melody and slow bpm. I am sure there will be a load of tabs already online its a popular song by a popular band, just search on google or any number of the popular tabs sites

  • what is the frts / nots can u do a totry plz :)

  • Its very easy to learn by ear, simple melody and slow bpm. I am sure there will be a load of tabs already online its a popular song by a popular band, just search on google or any number of the popular tabs sites

  • i want 1 ov those so bad iam having 1 on 24 th jan canot wait

  • hey guys iv just had one of these for christmas today, and theres a slight pop when i activate the pedal, does this happen with anyone elses?

  • Afraid not. My unit is fairly silent when switched on.

  • kool demo love the guitar and the pedal 5:)

  • do you ever get crap from your neighbors? mine never stop

  • Nop, my neighbours r cool. Quite lucky from that respect

  • way lucky, i can barely practice here anymore, and they get pissed if i shut their dog up

  • Lucky. Sometimes i get a couple guys over here to play and my neighbor freaks and calls the cops. I live in the middle of nowhere too

  • Ooooft that sucks

  • I know. Yesterday I hate my friend over here and he has one of those Starter bass's. and dude it might suck but hell it screams. My neighbor flipped out on him. Came to my door. I set my other neighbors amp(not sure what type but its a tube and is like 50 pounds..and its a fender) turned up to 5 turned my guitar all the way up. dude you would have loved to see it

  • @thixotropicmusic LOL hey man i play the guitar too and i live in an apartment but my neighbors will never come to my door but they will stomp around and turn their music up in response to it. Neighbors are a musicians worst nightmare.

  • @SVBarnard so true, i dont even live in an apartment, but our houses are close together, and my roommates are also guitarists. she called the cops the other night on us

  • you got that right man!!

  • Cool xD, me too my neighbors slam on my door to shut the guitar off cuz her girls (15 year old and 12) were sleeping at 3pm

    Wow great excuse lol

I bet her girls were drunk and need to sleep loool

  • thats a prs aye?

  • Yup, PRS Singlecut

  • audioslave?...nice

  • like Les Pauls much??? lol

  • nice cover lol sounds like were on horses but cool , and long live those les pauls man you must b loaded . x)

  • What other pedals r you using? That sounds sick!!!!!

  • TC Electronic Nova delay and the whammy

  • the beginning part of the video there's a solo it sounded so familiar... what was it?

  • like a stone by audioslave

    its in the title

  • Dude are you like endorsed by PRS or sommet?

    Awsome cover btw!

  • Are you serious? He has like a small army of Epiphone Les Pauls.

Anyway, I can't get over that black 7 sting les paul! It's crazy! I never thought I'd see the day!

  • Lol I suppose it is pretty cool...

but how many Les Pauls do you need!?

  • I guess as many as you want. Different pickups...... maybe.

I just meant better to have a few good Epiphones that you tweaked to your specs than one Gibson for the same price.

  • Lol yeah...

Damn you've always got a smart answer huh?

  • I'm not trying to be a jerk. But if you like Les Pauls, why get anything different?

But I was just responding to someone who said "why not just get one good Gibson instead of so many Epiphones" So I just wanted to point out that Epiphones can be just as good as Gibsons if you work on them and it's still cheaper. I'm sorry if you thought I was trying to be a jerk to you.

  • Oh no dude im not trying to say your a jerk.

    And damn straight dude.

  • i love d way dat guitar shines LOL :D

  • damn it man u rock!

  • Nice poster on the wall! :)

  • this dude is rich lol

  • Is it me or you also use a DD effect ?

  • Yup, I am running a TC Electronic Nova Delay. Its listed in the video description. thanks

  • better than the original

  • everything but never to say this XDXD

  • i have a rp 355 and put on the whammy effect but the pedal does not make the same noise

  • it should be able to make those same sounds

  • nice poster man i got it in my living room

  • god u have a great setup love the les pauls and gerat video

  • stop the metronome next time

  • pretty les pauls

  • gotta be one of the best morello solos :)

  • does morello use the original classic whammy or just a regular whammy?

  • classic

  • i was pretty sure he did. they are alot better. and i cant find one for under 1000

  • regular

  • wh-1, so the original one.

  • fkin awsome!!!!!!!!

  • her brother . how put one octave up?

  • that solo is so easy but it sounds wicked with a whammy pedal

  • Agreed

  • lol

  • hey man i need your help

im trying to find out how to get the right tone on my digitech whammy, for a cover of Decode by paramore, its just the solo and the break down after

Any help would be appreciated mate

    cheers

  • i would help but, paramore:o

  • solo is two octaves up

  • hes probably already playing 1 octave up on his guitar.. Morello is probably playing lower on the neck

  • this sounds better. 2 octaves is just too high. this sounds tasteful and cleaner

  • 2 octaves is not too high its because hes playing it wrong and also its supposed to be played on the sixth string thats why it doesnt sound as high and look at the music video u can clearly see that tom morello plays it on the sixth string

  • o ok. sorry i didnt mean to piss u off..

but thank you for correcting me. my point was is that if u played on the first string, and use 2 octaves up, it sounds like your amp struggles for that note and it hurts my ears. and my amp is a jsx halfstack,, so its not the amp.

  • i wasnt pissed off and yes it would sound too high to be played on the first string and thats why its played on the sixth string

  • Thatd be the first string friend , learn to play guitar and where the notes on the neck are.

  • what r u talking about im talking about the low e string which is the sixth string ur the one that needs to learn how to play guitar

  • The First String is High E. Irony ftl.

  • you roock men ! 5/5 :)

  • Why is that?

  • cool

  • they have digitech whammy pedals at guitar center for 200 dollars flat. they're no where near 500 dollars thats just crazy

  • the whammy 4 is 200 dollars, the whammy 1 which beats out literally every other whammy ever produced (Whammy II, R3, BASS Whammy, Whammy 4 RI currently out).

And that's why they're worth more than 500. The chip isn't produced anymore, the WH1 sounds more analog and is more analog than any of the others.

Do you think Dave Gilmour uses a Whammy 4 or do you think there's some reason that his tone sounds amazingly better than anyone who tries to emulate it with a WH4? It's because he uses a WH1

  • is this two octaves up

  • Nop I have it in one octave up mode, and just played the guitar part up one octave on th guitar

  • COnsidering that this is like $500?can anyone think of another option

  • it about atualy 200

  • 2nd hand maybe. Is there cheaper version out there?
