Today 67 years ago massive deporatations occured in the Baltic states. With the aim to create fear and terror USSR authorities deported thousands of people to Siberia. The Empire of Evil did not show any mercy to children nor to elderly people, many of them died on the way. People were collected to train cars originally meant for cattle - there were no windows, no food, no toilettes.

We will remember crimes against humanity, we will keep reminding the horror USSR brought to the occupied lands.

Another thing: Stalin always did what was best for his country and not for his own personal glory. He reminds me of Julius Cesar. Always thinking of his empire and of his people instead of his own personal intentions (like George W. Bush that prick). As they say, the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.

Needs of the many? The flawed policies of Collectivisation and Industrialisation, not to mention the many purges that were conducted in order to satisfy Stalin's intense paranoia caused the deaths of over twenty million people.

ChristianSocialist: Stalin wasn't a great leader, he was THE greatest leader of any country ever. I have said this before and I will say it again: Stalin converted a country of 200 million people into a giant super power, and some might say more powerful than the United States, but thats debatable. What is clear is that no else could have been better suited for transforming USSR than Stalin. Trotsky or Lenin or anyone else would have failed where Stalin succeeded.

Stalin loved his country so much he gave up on his captured son so that the Germans wouldn't get one of their beloved generals back (tell me, was it really Marshall Von Paulus?). In turning down this trade, Stalin's armies pushed the Germans back out of USSR.

I must admire the Red Army of World War II. During the celebrations, it was perfect soldier march and the Russian aircraft perfect formation for the red star. Stalin is the greatest man who ever lived, im convinced totally, I believe that he was always doing things in the BEST interest of his country.
