@flibideegibbit -- and Joe Torre and Phil Niekro was probably there, and Eddie Mathews, and Warren Spahn . . . . 6 Hall of Famer's, and probably several more.
What a great video! Those images of Milwaukee County Stadium brought back a rush of great memories for me, too, as I grew up with the Braves in the 50s and 60s. There are Milwaukee Braves fans all over the country as we learned when compiling our new book, "FOR MILWAUKEE BRAVES FANS ONLY!" Book comes out this November. Watch for it!

@Kanjilearner Because fans weren't going as much after the team stopped contending for championships, and partially because - I have heard, at least - that the stadium stopped allowing fans to BYOB. The new owners saw HUGE opportunities for profits in Atlanta, a new stadium, and a (FINALLY) more racially integrated city than pre-MLK Atlanta was, that players like Hank Aaron would be willing to go to. Still, I can't stand that they moved.
I like the Braves names on their jerseys. Very large letters. They took them out in 1965 when they were supposed to move to Atlanta that year but for a court injunction. But I wish they would have kept them.
True story: My baseball glove I am wearing was signed by most of the Braves including, Aaron, Spahn, Matthews, Alou, Torre, Lemaster, Maye, Menke, sadowski, Hoeft, Woodward, etc. Willie Mays asked to sign my glove after our photo shoot, and being the most devout Milwaukee Brave fan on the planet, replied, "No. It's for Milwaukee Braves only!" and with that, Willie walked away. Hey, I was 9!
I must say that you did have a great day. This was before my time - but I would have given anything to sit on the bench with my Braves heroes when I was a kid. That would have been early 80's Atlanta Braves for me - but wow! Spahn, Torre and and even Willie Mays - what great memories you must have! Thanks for sharing!
Awesome! awesome! awesome! My Cousins lived in Milwaukee at this very time. They were crushed when the Braves moved to Atlanta. Great vid, and a good transfer..
The batters in the footage near the end were Hank Aaron (ground out) and Eddie Mathews (basehit). I am thankful my dad took this footage. Now it is preserved digitally. I hope more people do this with their memories...gotta be lots of them out there!
you got to be at a game with Henry Aaron and Willie Mays . . . . how lucky you were. :-)

Incredible...the ONLY team in baseball history never to have a losing season.

@metalkrush77 -- no, that's Joe his own self. I think Bob Uecker was with St. Louis by this time.

Cool video. It was awesome seeing County Stadium back in the glory years. Looked a lot different from the 16 times I was there in the 90's
