It is not that Frank disagrees with my philosophy, but that he, such as many pundit on the right AND left, use hate and rhetoric to debase a philosophy. I have read much of Rand and Friedman's individual work and both, more so Friedman than Rand, are very fair and logical about the reasons to their philosophy and do not deserve such an underhanded jab. Let us not use profanity and broad generalizing statements to attempt proof of ones point. In reality, it works only to bolster the unthinking

Ha ha! "Shit the bed"! Yeah - The millionaires are pouting now - that's for sure. I wonder how much revenue they will be generating by pouting and bitching now. They aren't handing out those big bucks anymore to their ex-employees are they? The plastic trinket factories in China have ground to a halt too. Millionaires generally do not pay their bills (or taxes) and since when is inheriting a fortune "hard work"? Let them pout and run home crying.

Yeah, that Rove terrorist line made my mind up for Obama. W himself has been striking bargains with Shiite terrorists since he decided to ethnically cleanse all the Sunnis from that giant oilfield in Iraq. The Texas exit polls on Nov. 5 showed that the big oil man coalition convinced 23% of Texans that PEO is a moslem terrorist. I love how this guy associates homophobia, free market deregulation and religion with the Republican party when the Democrats stand with republicans in opposing Gay marriage, Clinton-era economists deregulated the derivatives market which is partly responsible for the meltdown, and every Democrat clings to their Christianity as a badge of electability.
The republican politicians who were elected into washington in 2000 and 2004 were put there by the money of large energy, chemical and agribusiness corporations who care about only one thing, MONEY. They don't give a rats ass about anyone or anything else including America, the world or it's people. This was documented by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in his book: "Crimes Against Nature". Read the book and learn. Is anger at Republicanism justified? Rage is justified.
Bush sucked, but Clinton sucked, too. He repealed the Glass/Steagel Act, which is what prevented commercial acts and investment acts from doing business with each other. Both parties are essentially the same, IMO.
No, the Glass Steagall Act prevented them from doing the SAME kind of business and from merging with each other.
It was essentially repealed during the tail end of the Clinton administration by the passage of the Gramm, Leach, Bliley Act of 1999. That passage came at the hands of a Republican-controlled house & senate.
Hey Frank, You ever heard of the Community Reinvestment Act? Or Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae? This crisis is completely caused by Socialism not Capitalism. Although well intended as these programs were, they caused a distortion in the market as any and all government intervention does. This distortion caused malinvestment. Do you think that foreign investors would have allowed these ridiculous lending standards if the gov hadn't guaranteed mortgages written by Freddie and Fannie, accounts for 80%?NO
Yes, he has heard of them and has made previous videos referring to them. But you're absolutely wrong about that they created the economic crisis we're in currently.
Even Alan Greenspan has admitted that deregulation of the mythical free market was the primary source of the problem.
.::Time Magazine::.
... Not familiar with credit default swaps? Well, we didn't know much about collateralized debt obligations (CDOs) either — until they began to undermine the economy.

Wow son, I am up on it. I don't care what Greenspan said he's a liar.If Freddie and Fannie did not exist would we be in this mess? If congress had not made a law requiring that banks write a certain amount of sub prime loans every month would we be in this mess?Don't blame the free market because the idiot niggers in congress fucked up. It makes me sick to watch Maxine Waters say to Paulson "You haven't fixed my fuck up yet, huh"
The economic crisis started in the 1980's, with the shift of wealth to the Top, a loss of our manufacturing base and financing military build-up with debt.
This current crisis was exacerbated by the manipulation of deregulated energy markets and you, of all people, should know about OIL.
You do understand that record oil profits came out of the pockets of homeowners?
You do know that people without a job can't pay their mortgages?
More bluntly...it started with Reaganomics. You know the great communicator? Who convinced the majority of the wisdom of trickle down economics...and the poor looked up to heaven and said "Hey. Where all that piss coming from?"
You don't have to believe Greenspan, or any other reputable economist who is saying the same thing that he is. But, if you're an emotionally mature and reasonably intelligent adult, you must ask yourself if you personally have as much credibility and intellectual capacity as any of those people.
You literally do not know what you are talking about. While Republicans (and all who preach deregulation) deserve the majority of the blame. This is not a political issue. It was caused by greedy wall street execs who threw common sense out of the window in favor of making millions. Have you heard of Mortgage backed securities or CDO's? Why don't you read a book for once instead of watching Fox News.
Frank I really enjoy your vids. Bush and Co. broke our economy by unregulated greed and self interest, they will not be missed and I sincerely hope their polices and actions will not be forgotten
As always Frank you are right! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and I join you in praying the American people never forget what 8 years of the neocons did to this country.
Frank... you have such a wonderful way with words. And you're so right. We always have money for wars and fatcats, but never seem to have enough for the poor or middle-class. When WE fuck up, we're "careless and/or stupid". When THEY fuck-up, it's just because "shit happens". THEY get "bailouts". We get "better luck, next time". Anyway... thanks, as usual, for telling it like it is. And I hope you're having a wonderful Thanksgiving. This year, I'm grateful for the Obama win... AND for YOU!!
You make some great points. Sadly, I feel the economy is tying Obama's hands pretty tight. I would expect the deficit to rise even more under him, only this time for good reasons. (When you *actually* are in a emergency, the national credit card should be an option.)
Nevertheless, Republicans will start hypocritically bashing him for the rising deficit (ignoring the past 8 years), and in 2012 we'll be back where we started because people are stupid enough to buy it.
Isn't funny how when both extreme ends such as Democrats and Republicans create a major fuck up, the other party is right there to balance it all out?
Well, all must come full circle, my friends. And that circle is within a controlled group, an elite, so that everything goes around and around and around.

No, Rand was a sociopath because her philosophy bolstered a dog eat dog system, which justifies a CEO making $28 million/yr, while bitching that the union worker making $28/hr is bankrupting the corporation.

I understand how easy it is to be taken to one side or the other, but remember both sides lead to an extreme. Humanity needs to be in the middle, and until we learn how to moderate ourselves, we'll never have the peace that we want and only the hedonistic life styles most selfishly strive for.
WeisseEdelweiss, I agree with you about balance, but the fact remains that the general population has historically fared better under Democratic administrations.
Whether it's Socialism or unbridled Capitalism, matters not to the "the Elite".
They make money out of thin air called interest or usury, I think that's what you're getting at.
Frank didn't say the Democrats were Angels.
But if one party was to move society towards the balance of a Socialist Democracy, it would be the Dems.
WeisseEdelweiss - humanity needs to be in the middle? The middle of what, exactly? Rationality and insanity? Hate and tolerance? Why give any credence or weight to ideologies that are proven losers? It's one thing to be fair - it's completely another to be so "fair" that you give equal (and undeserved) consideration to bad policies, bad reason and bad results.
Humanity needs to understand that, what they experiance themselves as in this reality, is not real. It's an illusion.
If you don't understand that, then you will not understand what I mean by moderation because everything else, morale, religion, politics, and government seem real to you and you just..won't..get it.
After eight years of absolute disaster the Conservatives are still in a high state of denial...it's all the liberals fault. Try and figure that one out! Then of course there are those who still claim that there is no difference between Gore and Bush ergo no difference between Obama and Clinton. It's easy for them to argue this because they take brains out of the equation.
