  • she is just amazing!

  • ME ENCANTAAAAAAAAAA!! QUE VOZ QUE TIENE DIOS MIOOO

  • I understand the saying to each his own, but wtf would this get that many dislikes? This performance is amazing with a powerful message.

  • After i heard it i was like Hell no, people are insane to compare them vocally. So can Taylor just stand there and sing, WITHOUT all the stunts? NO, she needs all the stunts to spice up here performances and make up for the lack of vocals. Most of Carries performances she is just standing or just walking around. Her vocals are all we need to be entertained, unlike Taylor.

  • We need to forget the Song writing aspect, it does require talent to write songs BUT do we watch them on stage to write a song or buy the CD to listen to them write a song out loud? NO we watch them to perform!!!! So the big picture is who would u rather watch perform? Carrie or Taylor, for me I pick Carrie as Taylor's voice makes my ears bleed, Especially after her one performance of O Holy Night. It can be heard n the Vocal battle vid between them, That was the first performance in the vid.

  • "The smallest thing can make all the difference": just listen to the lyrics

  • A 24 piece band makes a 24 piece difference to this performance.

  • my gosh, when i saw this i knew she is just great! she did great with aerosmith and with vince gill...gosh, what a performer. worthy of the ACM Entertainer of the year Award

  • @dannysimion two years in a row <3

  • PPL have you seen this shocking secret of Mcdonald yet? CLICK MA PROFILE TO KNOW ABOUT THIS

  • Remember to go on cmt website and VOTE FOR CARRIE!!!! She's up for 3 awards: video of the year, female video, and her performance of "temporary home" on cmt insider. Please give carrie your upmost support! Let's show who's really the country queen. Carrie's given a solid performance-one after the over, and great albums + videos. • Carrie, Carrie, Carrie---You never cease to amaze me with your powerful vocals and very meaningful songs. You are an angel.

  • she got a standin O for a unbelievable performance. of a beautiful song which u can tell the passion in her voice

  • she is by far the most phenomenal singer ever!

i still dnt get it why people compare her and taylor when Carrie OBVIOUSLY PAWNS & OWNS taylor HEAD TO TOE & IN TO OUT!

  • @reedrm omg, would people STOP HATING on taylor swift. was there anything on taylor swift in this video? NO! taylor fans don't hate on carrie on taylor swift videos.

  • Man, she is an awesome singer...very convincing especially at 2:53. Go Carrie...

  • Like I said before the only reason the rest of the audience stood up was the fact that the men in uniform in front stood up to applaud Carrie outstanding performance and they felt embarrassed and decided to join them. Because I notice Carrie was surprise by the standing ovation.

  • what you gonna do with 36 cents?

Can't even buy Carrie's song from itunes?

    :(so sad,.

but i bought the Play on album!! WOO HOO!

  • I think Carrie just convinced the audience to do what the message of the song. What a meaningful standing ovation.... I for one gave her that from where i am in my computer room. She is a very passionate singer and with that vocals she got, what else can i ask for in an artist.

  • I got that feeling, the one you get when you feel relief, or when you are heavenly-happy =]

  • Watcha gonna do with the 36 cents, sticky with coke on your floorboard?

  • Look, the people in the audience rated this performance......Standing O.....nothing more needs to be said.

  • this performance is simply phenomenal. that's all there is to it.

  • exactly...i have been sooooo shocked about taylor's undeserved success this year. how about carrie??

  • I still don't understand why Carrie is not FVOTY. Taylor can not do this. not in a million years. Carrie is a Natural born talent. She doesn't need the technology to change her voice, Its totally Pure. And Taylor well I bet you she stinks live. She cant sing to save her life. I do have to admit she has good songs but she shouldn't sing them, she needs to be a writer for someone else.

  • powerfull performance and amaziiing voice......

  • powerfull song.. amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • she so deserves a standing-obation, haha!

    i love you Carrie!!!!

  • "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.

-President Josiah 'Jed' Bartlet, West Wing

  • Awesome!!! Amazing voice!!!

  • Yes at 2:53, she was so convincing. This is one of the reasons i like about Carrie. She is very passionate about her songs. She is the best live performer i have ever heard. Good Luck Carrie on your nominations at the Peoples Choice awards and the Grammys. If you won't win, it's ok because you are already a winner.

  • 2:53 is AWESOME! You get goossebumps.. You can see how much this means to Carrie..

  • this is exactly love carrie underwood! what she sings is from the heart, and the older she gets the better. she's gone a long way since american idol days. i really admire how she's evolved as a true singer<3

  • Oh and also you can see how surprised and humbled she is by the only performance standing O of the night!

  • Comment removed

  • Beautiful, also it always amazes how fit Carrie is. She works hard to be where she is in every aspect of her life and career.

  • This is why Carrie is my favourite singer. She sings with so much passion, she is amazing! Gives me goosebumps everytime i watch it!

  • Yup, it is an amazing performance.

  • Carrie is the greatest live performer ever...first singer ive ever heard where their live performances are better then their albums...Love Carrie Marie Underwood

  • anderson cooper is cool

  • I totally agree with casanoba09!

  • Wow why is taylor always been compare to carrie??? taylor is ok but i want to see taylor sing this song live. I want her to stand there with out moving around and just belt out like a real professional artist she is. Im just wondering since she is the vocalist of the year lol what a joke CMA..

  • I AGREEEEEE!!!!! all she does is bang her head around like her 13 year old fans! she needs to go on! GO CARRIE!!!!! this was amazing!

  • SOOOO agree with you.. Taylor's vocals are mediocre at best, she could never do this and has no where near the range of Carrie.

  • @coverme77 taylor's vocals are not even mediocre...murder's the word :P

  • @casanoba09 i love carrie, but taylor swift is just as good or better then her

  • @zoev375 oh wow umm well that might be your opinion but as a singer carrie can sing live and sounds the same as the cd version as for taylor well just watch the grammys and well you will see what im talking about... taylor is good in the cd.

  • @casanoba09 ok, whatever, but taylor has better songs in general then carrie. plus, she was on tour while performing the grammys so she was probably like tired.

ya, carries good live but her cds....

  • @zoev375 umm better songs are u serious??? She just sings about boys and fairytales... She is not a teenager anymore i would undesrtand if she was 15 but she is 20 now she needs to sing about some real stuff like this song something meaninful.. no offence but you must be 14 right???

  • @casanoba09 yeah, well at least she writes her song.

and a "cowboy casanova" is soooo meaningful.

    no, i'm not 14.

  • @casanoba09 and taylor swift actually does sing about meaningful things. almost everybody who listens to her songs talks about how much that they can relate to them. i don't see that happening with carrie. also i personally believe that taylor is a more inspiring artist.

  • @zoev375 umm ok so which song is meaningful should we start with Our Song or maybe picture to burn oh no wait love story naw maybe 15 our my favortite you belong with me???? but ok thats your opinion; Have you heard jesus take the wheel, just a dream., temporary home, change, so small im just saying but i do respect your opnion...

  • @casanoba09 15 is a very meaningful song, and at least taylor swift writes her song which must mean they are meaningful to her as well. carrie does not write all her songs.

of course i respect ur opinion as well

  • @zoev375 taylor has a few rather meaningful songs like "tim mcgraw" "tied together with a smile" "best day" "change". However the majority of her songs are just dwelling on breakups and heartbreaks and how to get revenge. am I saying it wrong to have these kinds of songs? no they're fine and relatable but there's more to just being relatable and just venting. There's more to life than just guys and "love" . carrie's songs has versatility and touches upon many subjects from guys

  • @zoev375 to life's other heartaches like "just a dream" where it is talking about a soldier who dies-she has the power to touch our hearts and really make us feel for them and appreciate what they do for us.Carrie's songs inspire the listeners to not despair but "play on" in her song "play on". It teaches us to let go and know what's really important in life (so small). These are just some-to name a few, of the many deep and meaningful songs that carrie has written in her album.check them out =)

  • @countrymusicCC i will check them out.

i would be more appreciative of carries songs if she wrote them herself.

i like carrie and her songs, but i personally find taylor swifts songs more to my liking.

  • @zoev375 carrie has written the majority of her songs. the big difference between her and taylor is that she actually has the vocals while taylor isn't the vocalist at all(if compared to carrie). Yes she can "sing" but most of the time she's very pitchy and off. I understand she gets nervous and is sick most of the time(or at least her fans claims that's the problem) but that's still not an excuse. I don't know about you but as a professional I would AT LEAST expect them to be in tune... =)

  • @c4sweet then how come taylor swift has more fans, is played on both country AND pop radio stations, won A LOT more awards then carrie, and is much popular? because she isn't a vocalist? yeah, that makes sense. Also, Taylor actually takes the time to reach out to her fans while carrie- well, she doesn't do anything. taylor isn't pitchy and off, and i have never heard (or used) the "excuse" that she was sick. and no, carrie has not written a single song BY HERSELF. that alone take a lot of talent

  • @zoev375 no carrie still has MORE awards then taylor. Taylor swift doesn't have more fans. Carrie has a pretty large fan base too. What do you mean carrie doesn't do anything for her fans? WOW...obviously you don't know carrie AT ALL. I haven't said anything about taylor not being nice but u instead attack AND slander carrie. Taylor has cowritten a lot of her hit songs with other people and while she has a better knack at writing it quickly-carrie's still as good a writer

  • @c4sweet whatever, but taylor actually reaches out to her fans. you don't see carrie making video blogs or spending seven hours meeting fans, do you? no. and did carrie EVER write a song all by herself. NO.

  • @zoev375 no carrie has the whole package. plus carrie has a lot more respect from her industry AS AN ARTIST then taylor. she gets standing O almost every single time while taylor never got any. So what if carrie didn't write one ALL by herself? doesn't mean anything. Carrie's songs have SUBSTANTIAL value. Carrie does reaches out to fans-in a different way then taylor. I can name a lot but it's obvious you don't even know carrie and don't care to so I'll just leave it at that.

  • @c4sweet i'm sorry, i think your taking this the wrong way. i don't hate carrie, she has nice songs and a beautiful voice and even though she doesn't write her songs by herself they are still meaningful. i'm not one of those people who watch videos just so they can comment on them about how much they hate the artist. its just that i don't agree that carrie is better then taylor. thats all.

  • @zoev375 well we all have our own preferences as to who we like better and relate to better. Taylor has better writing chops while carrie's strength is her vocals which is VITAL as a SINGer. But I think the whole "well taylor can write a whole song by herself" is rather irrelevant. A lot of world renowned artists don't even write a single song while carrie writes the majority. lol well whatever. taylor's talented too

  • @zoev375 Exactly. Even diehard Carrie fans can't say Carrie has ever fully written one of her own songs. (By the way, Taylor got a songwriting deal at 14... Carrie only even entered the music industry in her early 20s.) Every single song on Taylor's studio albums have been written or cowritten (she fully wrote over half the songs on Fearless) by her. Carrie's only cowritten half her hits.

  • @rottincherrie carrie got a record deal when she was 14 too. it just fell through when the company split. She got discovered later...so what? what does that have to do with anything?so what if taylor wrote her songs? she also only cowritten half of her hits too. plus that doesn't have much to do with who really is the one with most talent. look at celine dion. she's one of the greatest singers ever in the world but even she hasn't written many of her songs if at all.

  • @c4sweet I do believe Carrie is gifted and qualified to win every award she gets. You act as if I'm saying Carrie's as worthless as you're saying Taylor is. I am SAYING Taylor is more talented than some people are giving her credit for.

What do you mean, so what? Songwriting is very difficult to pull off. Taylor cowrote half her hits; she actually fully wrote the rest.

I find Celine's voice irksome and unlike Carrie's and Taylor's. She combines whispers and vocals to create "emotion". Oh please.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @rottincherrie I suppose I should clarify: I meant Taylor fully writes half of her SONGS, not just her hits.

  • @rottincherrie wow.. you're seriously dissing one of the arguably best vocalist in the world? wow... lol no comment. you can just try and argue that to the 200 million people who has bought her album.

yes I give credit that taylor wrote her songs and has better writing chops but I wouldn't say that just because it's easier and quicker for her that that could determine the whole package of how she is as an artist who SINGS to make a living. soo she can write. ok. I hope she can sing in tune

  • @c4sweet find the area where I supposedly "dissed" Carrie and I'll rephrase. Carrie is one of the best vocalists in the world (better than Taylor, I freely confess, the way you admit Taylor's better in the realm of songwriting), and I am a huge fan of hers, so why would I diss her?

  • @rottincherrie not carrie, celine dion. when I mentioned her-u sort of brushed her off with the "oh please" remark. just surprised that u would say that about celine when she is one of the best vocalists. but well whatever since it's a carrie vid.

  • @zoev375 carrie has more versatility. She writes songs that can touch every aspect of life and are very deep-songs that are country too. Carrie's success has been largely in the country scene while taylor has depended far too much on pop success. Carrie has had 12 #1 singles on the country chart while taylor's last 2 singles barely made it to the top 10 and fared MUCH better on pop chart. Carrie refuses to remix her songs to pop while taylor allows her label to as to gain more sales and spins

  • @zoev375 no one is "hating" on taylor. I myself love some of her songs but she's no way in comparison to carrie's vocals. No one is attacking her- but is merely stating a fact and wondering why people think she's a good vocalist when she gets pitchy. 1 example is the grammy performance with stevie nicks. there r many where she has gone off...if you can't hear it...well ...? Taylor didn't even start winning major awards until carrie took a break and then the kanye incident spiraled her popular

  • @zoev375 Plus, carrie just made history by becoming the first person EVER ever to win EOTY 2 times in the row. lol I wrote a lot. I hope u understand that no one is "hating" on taylor- just merely stating the fact. Taylor's not a vocalist but I like that she's very sweet and down to earth. she's a good role model and I have nothing against her.

  • @c4sweet whatever. in my opinion taylor is a much better artist in general then carrie. that is not to say i don't like carrie. she does have nice vocals and her songs are catchy and i enjoy listening to them- which was why i watched this video in the first place.

  • @casanoba09 Taylor's talent is mesmorising as Carrie's but combined with her songwriting, voice tone, guitar, and stage presence all together while Carrie is a mesmorising singer. You wouldn't compete John Mayer's guitar playing to Jimi Hendrix but everybody likes the song, "Gravity".

  • @casanoba09 . I agree with you, and I have nothing against Taylor, she has neither the vocal power or smoothens in voice to duplicate what Carrie in this video. Which is stand there and sing, and not use any stunts or props at all. And plus Taylor would not get the same reaction for the audience as Carrie got, which was a standing ovation.

  • @casanoba09 , that's main difference between Carrie can do this kind of performance with such ease, whereas Taylor, no matter how hard she tries couldn't do this type of performance. That isn't comparison, Taylor just has to prove it to everybody that she can do this. But she just doesn't possess the vocal power Carrie has.

  • @casanoba09 i love taylor and think she has a nice voice but not one that is the female vocalist of the year

  • A Great Vocalist of her generation..Go Carrie..Play On..

  • Carrie Underwood is amazing!

This is one of her BEST performances!

She is & Will always be the BEST thing to happen to country music or any other type of music shes amazing!!!

Id give it 5stars but I cant lol

  • Not going to lie, I'm a HUGE Taylor Swift fan and I've always liked Carrie but Carrie beats Taylor 100%.

I know, I should be struck with lightening right now, but it's true. Carrie is the definition of perfect.

  • This is an amazing performance by Carrie. I'm not sure why Taylor is the topic, but all I have to say is when it comes to winning awards there must be alot of tone deaf 14 yr olds out there.

  • Wow Standing O! Congrats Carrie! The Taylor Swift fans here that are trashing this brilliant performance should be ashamed of themselves, especially since it is for charity. Carrie sings circles around Taylor and this performance got a Standing Ovation from the whole arena...so I think that means it was pretty damn good.

  • Incredible performance! thanx for posting! I wish the CMA voters had seen this in advance because they were smoking something strong that night.

  • Awesome. Gorgeous. Brilliant. Beautiful. Fantastic. Talented!

  • Carrie has SO much more talent than Taylor Swift!!!!!!!

  • Why are we talking about taylor swift in this video taylor its an ok artist but she would never sing like this in her life time Ever.. Carrie can sing anything i bet if carrie goes pop she would swap aways with all the awards but shes country by the way she sings better than most artist outhere in any genre.

  • Oh yea I almost forgot, Carrie's Debut Album is the fastest best selling debut album by a solo female country music artist in billboard history...was Taylor's? I don't think so. I don't hate Taylor. I actually think she's a wonderful song writer but come on...she will never sing like Carrie Underwood. That's a fact.

  • This goes out to the trash talkers and Taylor's Teeny Bopper Fans...

Carrie Underwood, 4 Time Grammy Winner, 10.3 Million Albums sold, 10 #1 Hits, "Play On" Highest First Week Sales for a Female Artist in 2009, and Female with most #1 hits in the past decade. WOW...what a TALENT. Keep Talking haters cause it doesnt really matter with these stats. I don't think taylor has this record :)

  • It's actually 11 number one hits! ;)

  • Out of 13 singles, I believe. And one of the others was a #2.

  • Ok, this deserves 5 STARS, not 3!

  • OMG!!! What a wonderful performance, so much passion. Awesome Vocals as always. Wonderful song and perfect anthem for Idol Gives Back this coming season.

  • Amazing as always!

  • God Bless Carrie Underwood and the lives she continues to change with her music, passion and acts of kindness. Carrie is wonderful steward of the blessings God has bestowed on her... Change the World Carrie!!!

  • guys taylor fans are just being utterly pathetic by rating a charity single one star. it doesnt change her amazing performance, so let them rate it one star. anybody who sees the video knows different.

  • wow...i see the Taylor fans have been here. 3 stars? really?

fuck off you pathetic creeps. Carries awsome

this was one of her best live performances, and considering her streak of flawless performances, thats saying something.

what also makes it so good is that she can actually sing about stuff other than boys!

    you go Carrie!!!

  • luv this performance

  • 3 stars?!!!

what's wrong with the people on youtube?!

  • their taylor fans... 13 year old tweeners who don't know anything about music.

  • exactly. don't get me wrong, i like taylor, and respect her as far as her writing abilities, but she could never sing like carrie. not in a million years.

  • One of the greatest vocalist in a generation who gives her time and money to charity. Superb performance that few could ever match, but the haters shamelessly rate it 1 star!! Unbelievably!!

  • flawless... I died.

  • there's only better in live performance from Carrie

  • she has an incredible voice. i love this song

  • Geez, how come this video is rated 3 stars?? That's ridiculous! Maybe some jealous fans (of other singers, that is) have been coming here and rate this video 1 star huh?

  • Amazing song and performance! Carrie is an amazing artist! Even the smallest act of kindness can make a difference in someone's life. We should all try it.

  • its great great. lets not compare her to taylor. they are both giving their best to whatever they do, lets just support them,

i love carrie so much! singing from the heart, singing to inspire, peace to everyone :)

  • @pinoydream i agree with u

  • jesus christ!

stop voting 1 star to this amazing 5 stars performance!!!!!

you guys should listen with your heart and ears!

not because fans are talking about taylor swift,so you guys give Carrie Underwood's performance 1 star,

    Be true and fair!!!

  • @broadwayislove228822

well, not only country music fans are judging Taylor Swift, even Lady Gaga or other pop singers' fans.

you can check out more AMA's performance to see their judgement.

fans argue, because Taylor is on both pop and country female list and they thought it was not fair.Lady gaga is the best pop singer who gave excellent performances in this year but she got nothing. If you are country, then you are country.if you are pop, then you are pop.

  • i really want to rub this in the face of those people who voted taylor for female vocalist of the year

  • And this hype( or fame) among many teens made Taylor win even though she doesn't deserve the accolade.

When she won, I have actually concluded that music these days is not really just about singing alone, but also is about fame. This sucks because real singers don't get what is really for them, like Carrie and the FVOTY. :-((

BTW, this is one of CARRIE'S BEST PERFORMANCE EVER.

Thanks to Katrina Elam, Josh Kear and Chris Thompkins who wrote the song for her.

She has given the song JUSTICE!

  • I agree with sentfromupabove. . We should not generalize that teens nowadays don't have the ear for real music and vocalists. . .

Maybe teens let Taylor Swift win over Carrie because they just easily get to sing her songs; Taylor's this low key and no belter at all. Teens obviously can effortlessly go with the flow and join the beat of her songs since these songs have neither high notes nor any vocal exhibitions like Carrie's.

    Continuation above!

  • i had goosebumps and kinda cried a bit...

  • absolutely amazing

  • but i can't believe it got 3 stars. I thought it was a very excellent performance by Carrie

  • A lot of performance videos start off with low scores, but they end up with 4 or 5 stars.

  • captivating performance. shes absolutely radiant in that dress.

  • I cried while watching this entire show. I was so inspired by the ten heroes that were honored. I think its beautiful how much of an impact these people make every single day :) God Bless CNN for honoring them and god bless them for having enough love to help

  • 2:52 is where she really feels it, you can tell in the way she is singing it, thats a singing women right there. And to think that Taylor is a better vocalist, show me where Taylor sings like this, then i might believe you.

  • I love this one, shes amazing, shes soo beautiful i like her hair short:)

  • That was awesome!...

  • I am a super fan. That was the most heart-warming performance I have seen from Carrie. Wow, on the dress selection. Gonna get some Kleenex now.

  • luv carrie, go carrie

  • First of all, it is rare someone comes along and revolutionizes anything, nevermind music. The thing that is mosty amazing about Carrie is her how down to earth she is, how much she truly cares, that is what is most amazing. Forget the writing and whose songs means the most, it is very rare to find people like Carrie, nevermind a celebrity.

  • i love this performance!!!!

  • i love it how most of the comments here are positive. i think that even some of the people who wanted to comment negatively have to admit that this is a great performance.

  • whatever comment isn't positive they are tone deaf. this is a masterpiece.

  • Best vocal performance i have ever heard!! Gave me the chills! WOW!!! That girl can sing!! X

  • I totally agree with you. Check out her performance at the People's Choice awards 2009 singing I KNOW YOU WONT---it was so vocally amazing. Anybody who doesn't know her yet will never in his/ her right mind deny the talent she has.

  • great voice!!

  • im loving this performance more and more

  • u say this statement like its fact. country is a large part of the music industry in which carrie has had a HUGE influence. does a person have to have a big influence in pop for them to change the industry? no, too me thats just opinion

  • @mistermagoo90

well considering that Carrie has had bigger opening numbers of over 320,000 and has already gone gold in two weeks she is the biggest female selling artist of the year, alongside taylor swift who has major international promo.

Carrie hasent tried to cross internationally though, and still managed to outsell rihanna, lady gaga, norah jones, and other superstars. and she has 4 grammys, and a million vocalist awards. she doesnt need to go international yet to be successful.

  • Comment removed

  • @mistermagoo90

and what is relevant . thats really kinda ignorant to say that just because she sings music that isnt that well known everywhere makes her irrelevant. she is one of the top stars in the us market, which is what she targets, and manages to outsell most artists by doing that.

why spend money on international promo, lol, if one manages to do well without?

  • once again. I never said she wasn't doing well. She's ranked on of the best albums sellers of soundscan history, but the word "revolutionized" is what I have a problem with. in what way has she revolutionized music? Nor did I say she has to go international to be successful. I said I think that it may be her next step. Her performance in Singapore was her labels way of testing her out in the international market, and I heard feedback was pretty good, so i suspect they will take her WW.

  • I see mistermagoo90's point. I admire and respect carrie, but revolutionized? Not yet. She is very successful and everything she's earned is very well deserved. However, she's no Michael Jackson, who is an example of someone who "revolutionized" music. I'm not saying she can't or she won't, but she's not there yet. Being the humble and honest person she is, i think carrie would agree also.

  • She might not be MJ but she sure is channgeling him every now and then:) Songs like Undo It may not be critically acclaimed but she has managed to combine rock and country in one single song. She doesn't have the status of MJ but she IS getting there. I also think that Michael would have been so proud of Play On. Especially of TH & Change.

  • I would not want to be compared to a child molester if I were Carrie. Sorry, the guy should have been in jail. I loved him when he was younger though.

  • I really don't think your comment is all that relevant, either. How can someone who helps to highlight the mind-numbing poverty that is going on in the world, and yeah even in our own country be irrelevant? If you don't like her music then you might wanna listen to Undo It or What can I say cause these sure ain't country. If music doesn't need her then the world sure does. And the dress is also amazing. Carrie for president in 2012:)

  • she is always great!

she deserved more than standing ovation...

  • Wow, I haven't cried from one of Carrie's live performances since the she sang Jesus Take the Wheel at the 2006 ACM's until now. This song is a very beautiful and touching song, Carrie and the song fit each other so well! The CNN heroes awards even have Heroes singing at these shows. Carrie is truly my inspiration and my hero. Lastly, she is also my American Idol, Love her so much!

  • Dear Taylor: sorry, but you can't sing

    Dear Carrie: this was AMAZING!!!!

  • 2:56!! BEST part!!

    <3

  • A-MAZING! :D

  • she really put her heart out there.

  • one of her most poignant and heartfelt performances. truly amazing. how can she sing with so much passion?

  • My comment is for Taylor. Taylor is a very sweet girl, BUT NO WAY IN HELL IS SHE CARRIE UNDERWOOD TALENT.

It's all about marketing with Taylor and her sales are with 19 and under girls.

  • Personally I doon't think she's all that talented at all (TS). She's just yet another one of those trends that'll be over tomorrow. Her songwriting ain't all that impressive either. See YBWM. Anyone can write that. I'm 18 and I never bought her CDs. Carrie is the one who revolutionized this industry and will continue to do so.

  • me too,I'm 17,i never buy Taylor's albums, but i bought all Carrie's albums, because Carrie's songs inspire me a lot,its about truth and different people's story, not only about girls and boys' love and her voice is real and beautiful,it's worth to buy them!

  • Exactly it's like each & every one of them tells this amazing story. All of Carrie's songs fit perfectly. Try YWFT and SWISLY. In the first of which Carrie alludes to the road that might not take him back & then there's the bus part in the latter. She sure has a gift she gets to share not only with those of us loving music but also with thoe who simply listening to her songs wanna jump up and Change the world. Sure T only sings about treacly break-ups.

  • on the TS topic, i think for a girl her age, she's a decent song writer. In saying that, however, all her songs are about the same thing. Carrie's music is inspiring because they deal with issues that are deeper than the typical teenage puppy love story.

  • Now let us compare Temporary Home with YBWM (TS). And we haven't even seen the amazing music video she's gonna shoot for TH. At least this performance will be remembered in years to come whereas Taylor's performances often border on embarrassing given all the pitchy notes and all. Carrie is also the first 'country' singer to perform on a show like this. If taylor is the great vocalist the CMAs recently crowned why didn't they ask her to perform (uhm) 15??

  • I totally agree with you. Teens are way more diligent and have more time in their hands to keep on voting TAYLOR without really thinking if TS really deserves an award like the CMA FVOTY. Teens are teens and they still are novice enough to know what a real vocalist is or maybe they are just deaf. Either way, TS fans just made her look bad by having that FVOTY award questioned of it's fairness.

  • Teens do the same for Carrie. Although out of the two Carrie is more deserving than Taylor of FVOTY. For me though Martina is the most deserving out of both.

  • I must add this was a stunning perforamce by Carrie. I wish she would do more songs like these and less songs like Cowboy Casanova that do nothing to show her vocal ability.

  • dont be prejudice against all teens i'm 15 (guy) and i know about good vocals, i have an ear for music, in my opinion the strongest female vocalist is mariah carey, i am also a fan of carrie underwood, metallica, bon jovi...and many more. i hate the commercial shit out there like britney and lady gaga. i agree that a lot of teens have no musical ears but dont generalise because some of us are sane lol

  • Teens aren't ALL deaf ;) I like Carrie way better than Taylor :P
