There is a restraunt near my house that has a framed copy of a Newspaper which is dated I think a week or two, maybe even a couple days after the sinking, and there is a list of all the rich people that survived. I know the background story and why Kate was asked to dye her hair red and the origin of the name of Rose who was not the name of a passenger onboard the original Titanic in 1912.

Kate was asked to dye her hair the color of mine. The "stowaway" Jack came from an article in '78 about a redheaded 16 y/o New Zealand girl, Kim Lauren Roche, who stowed away on a Coast Guard icebreak.

I was discovered by Joe Elliott of Def Leppard at the age of 15 in 1983 and the first song we worked on together is Pour Some Sugar On Me. I was then introduced to Mutt Lange who produced Pyromania, as well as Australian band AC/DC Highway to Hell. He brought INXS who was touring the US in early '83 to meet me that summer which is when I started working on songs with Hutch and Farriss.

The 1st day as the ship left dock I stood on the railing of the bow watching the water crash against the hull, but crew members thought I was going to jump overboard used in the script.

I insisted Zane be in the film and an unknown who resembled Kurt be found to play the part of Jack. I always thought Kurt should have been in movies with his Paul Newman goodlooks and he mentioned it was something he wanted before starting his band.
